However, I decided to go ahead with my posting because the problem is not just that. 1) first impression: she arguably has a lot of experience in her field, but when she is unable to hear her patient and needs a second or third person to double or triple explain what the patient is saying, there is a problem. 2) she is not just unable to hear well, she does not listen to the patient. This is even a bigger issue. When the patient tries to explain what is bothering her, the history and chronology of the symptoms, what measures have been taken thus far, etc. she needs to pay attention and then diagnose based on her experience. She does not. She hears and listens to what she wants to and repeats the same thing that the patient precisely said was not the issue. FRUSTRATING! We are paying good money for insurance premiums, co-pays, time and effort to see a professional. We need better than this!

He prefers patients that are elderly or vulnerable and can easily be taken advantage of so that he can do the least amount for them and charge Medicare and insurance companies a great deal. When they were rejected by our carrier because they are out of network, they claimed they never told us this and that they did not have copies of our insurance cards on file. They then asked us to pay almost $500 for treatment for which we had insurance coverage. I went back and forth with them until they sent it to collections. Had they told us they were not sure, I would have checked. It's clear they made a mistake. That happens. But they should have owned up to it. Instead, the front office covered their a*ses and blamed it on us. I have never been to a medical office that did not copy my insurance card. If they are willing to lie about this, what else are they willing to lie about?

Another looked very overwhelmed. She signed me in (supposedly), but provided little to no direction. The third receptionist was helping an elderly woman who was confused. It took 10 minutes to sign in. I completed the paperwork that could have been a link to a portal. When I went to turn in the paperwork, I was told to leave it on the counter. I was given no direction where to wait. After 50 minutes, I asked the receptionist what was going on. They neglected to process my paperwork and I had to rush to see the doctor as he was leaving. To top it all off, they never called in my prescription. I don't understand with all these terrible reviews, why not improve the process? Use a portal and have ppl fill out the form electronically and provide signage where to wait. Explain if there is a problem or a delay. If the current computer system isn't working, upgrade it. If staff is not trained, do not unleash them on your clients! I like this doctor, but this place is a hot mess.

Dr. Minzter put us at ease immediately. He coached us on how to create a calm environment for our daughter and then he developed an amazing rapport with her. He was able to perform an exam on her without her even knowing! It was like watching a magician. And he explained everything to us as he was performing the exam. She ultimately needed to get some eye drops, so there were some tears, but I never doubted Dr. Minzter's care for her. Terry, his assistant was a big help too! After the appointment, our daughter gave him a big hug - it was unbelievable. I am still in awe and I want to rent Dr. Minzter for bath time. You never forget how people treat your children, especially when you are concerned for their health. I am so grateful for Dr. Minzter's kindness and expertise.
