However, I decided to go ahead with my posting because the problem is not just that. 1) first impression: she arguably has a lot of experience in her field, but when she is unable to hear her patient and needs a second or third person to double or triple explain what the patient is saying, there is a problem. 2) she is not just unable to hear well, she does not listen to the patient. This is even a bigger issue. When the patient tries to explain what is bothering her, the history and chronology of the symptoms, what measures have been taken thus far, etc. she needs to pay attention and then diagnose based on her experience. She does not. She hears and listens to what she wants to and repeats the same thing that the patient precisely said was not the issue. FRUSTRATING! We are paying good money for insurance premiums, co-pays, time and effort to see a professional. We need better than this!

When they were rejected by our carrier because they are out of network, they claimed they never told us this and that they did not have copies of our insurance cards on file. They then asked us to pay almost $500 for treatment for which we had insurance coverage. I went back and forth with them until they sent it to collections. Had they told us they were not sure, I would have checked. It's clear they made a mistake. That happens. But they should have owned up to it. Instead, the front office covered their a*ses and blamed it on us. I have never been to a medical office that did not copy my insurance card. If they are willing to lie about this, what else are they willing to lie about?

Dr. Minzter put us at ease immediately. He coached us on how to create a calm environment for our daughter and then he developed an amazing rapport with her. He was able to perform an exam on her without her even knowing! It was like watching a magician. And he explained everything to us as he was performing the exam. She ultimately needed to get some eye drops, so there were some tears, but I never doubted Dr. Minzter's care for her. Terry, his assistant was a big help too! After the appointment, our daughter gave him a big hug - it was unbelievable. I am still in awe and I want to rent Dr. Minzter for bath time.
