One of my favorite Thai restaurants in sugarland. This restaurant is family owned and very authentic. The food served feels like a plate served in Thailand. I have come many times in the past few years. But I wanted to highlight. We came around dinner time and was greeted with a warm welcome and seated at a table. There were lots of customers in the restaurant already. However we were still served quickly and the food we ordered came out fresh and quick. I ordered some of my favorites like pad Thai, Thai tea, spicy eggplant. They are all very delicious and yummy. I want to highlight the spicy fish. This was my first time ordering it and definitely added to one of my favorites. The fish was so crispy, so fakey and when paired with their cream curry it was so delicious. I have been coming to this Thai spot located at the Welfresh center in Sugar Land for a few years now. They are local and the owner is very friendly and takes your order. The food is consistent and spice levels are more intense here as opposed to other places nearby. I love coming here for lunch as they have a pretty robust lunch menu. It feels like I hit upon a hidden gem! What I can rave about the most is their Crispy Spicy Fish, it is truly one of the best dishes along with their creamy curry sauce to dip. A perfect balance between sweet and spicy, their curry for both the fish and their Roti is fantastic. Their Papaya Salad was refreshing and their drunken noodles were my second favorite. It must be hard for this restaurant to stand out since they're located deep in a strip mall and Sugar Land only allows plain signage, but make no mistake about the unassuming presentation -- they serve the best Thai food I've ever had. I popped in with a friend for their lunch special: $10.95 for an over-reasonably sized entree, a vegetable spring roll, and a salad with peanut dressing. Their spicy thai basil (+$1 for beef instead of chicken) gets a thumbs up from me for tasting powerful in flavor. No extra seasoning needed. The clean interior and excellent service seals the deal on 5 stars. Our server checked on us frequently to refill our waters and delivered the check promptly after we requested it. The bathroom could use a little work, but I'm fine looking the other way on that one aspect. This place deserves all the support! read more

Just wanna start off by saying taking account into everything it truly is a five star but just based on food it's a four star. Started off very strong with great service by the single gentlemen running the floor. We got the roti, papaya and tom yum soup to start and it was all perfect. However, the papaya salad could use a little bit more shrimp paste and more of that funk too it. We then got the drunken noodles with beef, which was so flavorful and tender in terms of the noodles and meat and the barbecue chicken which paired well with the sauce they provided. The tiger cry sauce was like dipping your tongue in a bowl of salt; please ask chef to taste sauces after they are made. The meat used was too fatty, please ask chef to trim better next time. There was a T-Mobile Tuesday deal for uber eats and I took advantage of it as finals season was occurring. I ordered from Naha Thai in sugar land, which had a bogo deal for their drunken noodles. I got it with chicken and medium spice. The containers didn't look too big but when I opened the lid I saw that they were loaded to the brim. They also put in sooo much chicken so this is worth it for the protein alone if you prioritize that. I turned these two take out containers into 4 meals. The only thing I was left dissatisfied about was that there was not a single hint of spice at all, I would definitely go spicy or even super spicy level read more

First time visit today. My two companions and I all had the lunch option, and were very pleased. I had L1 Thai Basil with Tofu and Vegetables. I enjoyed the extra vegetables that came with the dish - mostly green bell pepper strips and large carrot slices. The tofu was nice and crispy. One companion had L1 Thai Basil with Chicken. She said it was very good. We ordered one star spice (Mild-Moderate) and it was just right for both of us. I like spicy foods, but I think going up a spice level would have been too much. My other companion ordered the stir fry lunch special with peanut sauce. I don't remember the name of it. She said it was good and not too spicy. The lunch special portions are generous - enough for a second meal. It comes with a crispy fried spring roll and small papaya salad with peanut sauce. The lunch menu has lots of options. Hard to choose. Next time I will try the red curry. Service was great. Definitely a great experience at a very moderate price. read more

Whenever I go to a thai place I always have to get the panang curry, and this place did not disappoint. I got medium spice and it had a good kick to it. The portion sizes are big - the curry itself was full of chicken and had a good bit of bell peppers in there. For some reason this place was almost empty when I came in on a tuesday night. A handful of people were doing takeout only, but I think this place deserves more in-person love! I will definitely be spreading the word about this place and hope to come back someday read more

The best thai restaurant I've been to! The lunch deal at this place (ends at 3:00 PM) is unbeatable, you get a salad (the peanut sauce dressing is so good), an egg roll, and an entree for just $10! I recently went for dinner and I was still pleased with the value. The lunch portion size for their curry fills me up, but the amount you receive at dinner for an additional $5 is more than enough to justify the price increase. The food itself is very good, I tried some of my friends' entrees like the drunken noodles, thai basil fried rice, and crying tiger, and everything was SOOO good. I regularly get the beef red curry or pineapple curry, but after trying my friend's panang curry, that may become my new go to! All of their curries are on the thinner side except for the panang curry (I prefer the slightly thicker consistency). The spicy fish is also SO good! Very crispy. I would also recommend the roti with yellow curry lunch special. The service is 10/10, everyone is so friendly and attentive! I was in a party of around 20 people last night without a reservation, and they were very accommodating and everyone loved their food. Of course, we left a hefty tip! Naha Thai has quickly become one of our favorites when it comes to Thai food! The staff is super friendly and service is quick. The favorites dishes so far are the Three Taste Fish, made with fried and crispy basa fish and it comes with a sweet and savory curry on the side which blends all the flavors together! My favorite is also the beef drunken noodles, love the sauciness and the beef is cooked to perfection. Will also recommend their panang curry! My husband and I love Thai foods, we tried many places and this one definitely stands out. The restaurant is not as aesthetically looking as other Thai restaurants but the foods were delicious and authentic. They have the best tom yum soup (5/5) i have ever had, definitely a must get!! Drunken noodles (5/5) and angel wings (3.5/5 - good sauce but a little dry) were good as well. We also ordered Crying Tiger beef (4/5), i love that it comes with steamed/boiled vegetables too, however, i wish they cut the steak into thinner slices and cook to medium rare. I think this is the best Thai food in the area. Most Thai restaurants are too sweet in their sauces, but Naha Thai is perfect balance of sweet and spicy. I don't like Tom Yum soup normally but this one has a very clean taste with just the right amount of sour from the lemongrass. Green curry is delicious. Only thing I wish was the spiciness levels were more consistent. Sometimes the papaya salad is very spicy and other times it's perfect even though we always order the same spicy level. The portions are huge compared to most places. This is a family run business so it's definitely nice to support a small business. Service is friendly and fast. read more

Every single time we go we never fail to get the mango sticky rice which we both agree is like eating heaven on a plate. The sticky rice is hot, the mango is cool, and the coconut cream is sweet AND salty. What more could you ask for. On top of that, their tom yum soup was so heartwarming, spicy fish was so tantalizing, crying tiger was so flavorful, and panang curry was so delicious. I can't stress how delicious this place is! One friend didn't receive the spice level he wanted and while the food was good otherwise the checkout for my friend was not good. How does your system not take a visa gift card that has the money on it. And not to mention the men's restroom urinal was nasty and I had to wipe the "broken toilet seat clean before using it. This place is great, very authentic! I came here on a Saturday evening and it was pretty busy. The owners were the waiters and waitress for the night. They did a great job caring for the details and asking every table if everything by was ok despite how crazy busy it was for them. I highly recommend their Naha Seafood noodle soup and their Panang curry. The Naha seafood soup was packed with flavor. The soup is tangy and spicy. They give generous portions of seafood. I love everything about it, except the squid that day taste a tad spoiled. We also ordered a side of sticky rice to go with the Panang. It was perfect. We got medium level spicy this time. I think we will probably order on the lower end next time and we usually eat fairly spicy. I will definitely come back and try their other items. read more

This restaurant was great! I was actually trying to go to the Indonesian restaurant next door but it was closed for the evening. Fortunately for me Naha Thai was next door. Walking in the staff greeted and seated immediately. Water was brought out and the waitress was patient and polite while the menu was being perused. I ordered the Cream Cheese Wontons for an appetizer which were very tasty, hot green tea and the Pineapple Curry at the crazy spicy level. If you're looking for that heat... look no further! The owner gave me the customary warning about the heat, which I acknowledged and ordered anyway. It was HOT! I absolutely loved it. The heat from the Thai chili, the savory red curry, sweet coconut milk, pineapples and veggies was an awesome combination. It took me a while to eat it all and I broke a sweat while doing it but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners/waitstaff were really kind and friendly. They came to the table many times to check up on me and bring more water. We also had a discussion about Thai chilis. The ambiance was laid back and relaxed. I haven't had GOOD Thai food in a long time. We actually didn't plan on trying this place out because the place we wanted to try on the same strip wasn't open yet and we we were starving. It was meant to be! They're very short-staffed so please be patient. The food was very delicious. I highly recommend their eggplant dish (not pictured). 4.5/5 stars Naha Thai, located off of highway 6, was a lovely place to get authentic and delicious Thai food! My friends and I went in on a Tuesday evening, and the shop was fairly empty, with a nice, quiet atmosphere. Our waiter and waitress were very nice and attentive! To start, we each ordered a Thai tea, which was by far, our favorite part of the whole experience. Thai tea usually tends to get too milky or too sweet, with not a lot of tea flavor, but their Thai tea was strong, and the milk was sweet and creamy. We ordered their crispy vegetarian rolls after, which were a little under seasoned, but they came with a sweet and spicy sauce which gave it a nice tang! We also ordered their Tom Kha soup, from the recommendation of my friend, which we ordered with vegetables and tofu. It had a nice, creamy coconut milk-based broth, and there were little pieces of broccoli, carrot, tofu, and mushrooms that were soft and tender. There was also a slight acidity to the soup which balanced really nicely with the creamy broth. We ordered the red curry at the medium spice level, but because it was cream based, the spice never felt overpowering! The rice paired well with the curry, and the chicken was well-marinated. Our next dish, the drunken noodles, were very spicy (which was kind of on us because we ordered it at the medium spice level). Besides the spice though, the rest of the dish was awesome; the noodles had a nice texture, the sauce had a slight sweetness, and the tofu was great because it was breaded and well-marinated as well. Next time though, we'll definitely order it with less spice hahah. For dessert, we got a bowl of fried ice cream. They only had coconut flavored ice cream, and with the fried shell, it was very warm and comforting (a tad bit too sweet though!). Stumbled on this place due to an e-mail I got on Yelp! It was in our area, so a buddy and I drove to Sugarland to give it a try. First thing ordered was a chicken satay, shrimp egg rolls and a papaya salad Som Tum. The chicken satay was good. The egg rolls were excellent, but the salad was like none I've ever had before. Talk about love at first bite. The more I ate, the more I wanted. I also got a hot sour soup called Tom Yum Soup. It was good! For our main entrees My friend ordered the yellow curry and we noticed they have a red and green curry. I asked about the differences, but couldn't get a good answer. I ordered the Crying Tiger. He brought out our orders. I tried some of the yellow curry with chicken. It was wonderful. You can order it spicy for those that want more of a bite. My Crying Tiger had the most tender ribeye steaks strips over a bed of vegetables. The flavor was remarkable! We like the food so much, we went back today and....we found out it was closed on Monday!! Bottom line is, we will be back! read more

This is a small unassuming place in a strip mall, but they deliver good service and flavor. They take efforts to make food vegetarian, and service is with a smile. Any minor issues they try to fix immediately. Basil fried rice is good, yellow curry is one of our favorites as is the pineapple curry. I am in pain. I am not sure if it is my mistake or theirs, at this point all I know is that I will never order from here again. I ordered Uber eats and picked up because I just wanted to enjoy a relaxing night at home. I got the Pad Thai and asked that it be "spicy" - not '5-alarm spicy' or 'hell hath fury spicy' however what received was food with a spice level beyond what ordinary humans should consume. Eating it, my mouth was on fire for a prolonged period; for a minute I thought this was a joke. I looked at my food, it was not red or covered in pepper flakes- there was nothing I could physically removed. When the burn subsided I took a few more bites hoping I just needed to calibrate myself for the heat. No, it burned badly. There had to have been some mistake made. This was not edible. I am Nigerian, we can eat spicy food. But this was intolerable. That was two night ago. Yesterday, I had bad stomach pain. I didn't know what was going on until when I went to stool I felt the same heat coming out of my back end. That helped the pain a bit but I was convinced that whatever I ate had probably burnt me just as bad inside. Now today, I'm sitting at work, with gastric pain and burning with discomfort- now slight heartburn. I know that I likely have an erosive gastritis from this food. If it burned my mouth this badly I am sure it just moved through my digestive system flaming up each inch by inch of my tender innocent intestines in a slow rhythmic peristaltic fashion. I am saddened to even think about the damage that has been done. Sure, my intestinal lining will grow back one day, but it didn't need to be burnt off in the first place - sometimes I wonder if it will grow back the same or if it will be hardened and jaded by this experience; maybe even susceptible to some evil growth years down the line. All this deep agonizing thought because of Spicy Pad Thai. My advice: don't indicate you want ANYTHING SPICY from this establishment. Buy your own hot sauce and pepper flakes and do it yourself if you have to. I don't want anyone to suffer how I have been made to suffer, in silence. Wish me luck. read more

I can understand why so many people like this place. It's really good food and at a reasonable price, plus they give a lot of meat in their portions. We picked up to-go, but my husband said the inside was lacking and just kinda dark, so this is a great takeout place! Haha Food: Red curry- 5 stars - my husband loved it and said the depth of flavor is better than that of Thai cottage's which is our usual go-to; has more of a lemongrass flavor and less sweet Tom yum - 5 stars - love love this soup! Lots of chicken (maybe too much) and mushrooms with a very comforting lemongrass and smooth soup. If I'm sick, this might be my new go-to instead of pho or chicken noodle soup. Mmm.... So good. And we ordered mild so wasn't even spicy. Eggplant with basil - 4.5 stars- what I was expecting! Good chunks of eggplant and chicken.
