Service is with lots of patience, recommendation for customer without judging, and very kind though my feedback is based on slow customers volume day. Food: Roti - 10/10 it's delicious, the best we had compared to other places. Crispy roti and yummy sweet coconut yellow curry is a good appetizer to start your Thai food journey Basil Thai fried rice with chicken - 9/10, the taste is on the sweeter side and a tad oily for my taste. However, still pretty legit. Add on citrus to cut down the sweetness and will be delicious. Or eating with fermented radish will complement this dish. Khao soi braised beef - 10/10, this dish grew on you. It comes with 2 noodles texture - crispy and yellow egg noodle, braised beef is good quality tender beef, kinda like from beef stew, spicy curry sauce taste on point and made you crave for more. sodium warning: almost every dish we ordered was overwhelmingly salty. i genuinely felt like i drank a dozen glasses of water throughout the meal LOL the curries in the roti appetizer, khao soi, and red curry all leaned very salty and sweet and were quite heavy. out of the three, the khao soi was definitely our favorite though. the tower noodles were by far the weakest dish. they were so salty that it was honestly difficult to eat more than a few strands at a time the basil chicken was another letdown. it lacked the signature basil aroma and the chicken itself was tough and dry. most of the seasoning settled into the watery sauce at the bottom rather than coating the meat. for dessert, the mango sticky rice was a meek pile and looked quite different from the heart shaped presentation in the photos. the sticky rice itself was soft, but that was the only highlight read more

Cute little restaurant tucked away in this strip center. They probably have about 10 tables but the decor looks nice and welcoming. We ordered the calamari appetizer, Tom Yum soup, and green curry. All we so fresh and great flavors. The calamari wasnt your normal ringed calamari and the batter felt more like fish batter - heartier and thick. My green curry had so much flavor and lots of veggies and chicken. My husband's Tom Yum had a rich tomato base and lots of noodles and veggies. It was a bit too sour for my taste but he loved it. Cute local spot in Missouri City. The owner is very nice and the service he provided was great. I tried the garlic fried fish - red snapper. It was crunchy crispy fried. I was hoping for more fish meat in each bite but it was more of a crispy fried taste. The batter and seasonings were great on it tho. My boyfriend had the pad ginger with beef and he thought it tasted great as well. Though he did mention if they had put 3 spoons on ginger, 2 spoons would have been enough. I think this is one of my favorite Thai places in the southwest area in terms taste, portion-size, price, and service. Smaller restaurant and has a very home-y feel to it. Plenty of parking in a lot. The first day I came here, the A/C wasn't working but the staff was really accommodating to seat us closest to the fan and offered to move us when another party left so the fan wouldn't be blowing the napkins every where. I think they are very friendly, check up often, and fast. My SO loves their roti but I agree with another reviewer: it's like a deep fried pancake though it does taste good. I love all their stir-fry dishes, noodles, and curries (great flavors and not water-y like some places). I don't think you can go wrong with anything here and the portions are very generous. They also stuff the take-out boxes for to-go orders (which is not common - I know many places that give smaller portions compared to dine-in) and they package it thoughtfully to prevent anything from spilling. We ordered to go for our lunch meeting. The packaging was well done. No spills. It retained heat for a good 30 mins after it was dropped off at our work. The food was alright. What stuck out was the chicken satays and crispy rolls (my favorite of the take out) and roti. I would order these three again. The roti is more like a deep fried onion pancake. I did like that they cut it since we had around 10 people eating all of this. The rice had a kick and very dense. It's made with jasmine rice. It is a good filler. The pad kee mow was meh. The Tom Yum soup here is superb. I would rate it in my top three for sure. I tend to select a spice level too high for me and regret it in the end, so beware and learn from my mistake! Level 3 out of 5 is perfection. The service during our last visit was outstanding. We celebrated a birthday here and our waiter was very accommodating and nice. Great little Thai place tucked away in Sugar Land. Stopped in for lunch one weekend based on a recommendation from a friend. Ending up leaving with a full belly of delicious food. Our table ordered three dishes: pad thai, fried rice, and green curry. Pad thai: classic flavors, the noodles were cooked well, and the chicken was not dry at all. A mix of sweet and savory, this is probably my most ordered dish at Thai places. This place makes one of the top versions. Add the squeeze of lime and crushed peanuts on top: perfect. Fried rice: this is a dish I would normally skip. For me, fried rice is a Chinese dish and I mever paid attention to it on Thai menus. But that changed a few months ago and I haven't gone back since. Moist and packed full of flavor, this is very different from a traditional fried rice. With slices of chicken, green onions, and perfectly cooked rice, this one was a winner. Green curry: we ordered this one as medium spicy and it was perfect. The spice was definitely there but not too much to overwhelm the dish. Loving all the new halal Thai places opening in Sugar Land lately! Thai Halal Bistro being one of the newer ones, we had to check this place out. We ordered a few appetizers to share: - Roti 5/5: the best crunchy roti I've ever had. How do they get it crispy and soft at the same time?! - Chicken Satay 3/5: not the biggest fan of chicken satay usually. This has good flavor but I would pass next time. - Tom Yum Soup 4/5: great depth of flavor. We got this pretty spicy and it was perfect. I feel like you must do spicy for Tom yum! I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and it was huge! The prices are a bit higher than what you typically see for Thai, but the portions are definitely much bigger. My noodles were a little too sweet for my taste - but I still enjoyed it. My husband ordered the panang curry and it was amazing. The coconut was really prominent. I would stick with ordering curry next time. The interior was clean, given they just opened. The employees were nice, a bit slower but that wasn't an issue for us really. The service and food was absolutely wonderful here at Thai Halal bistro. The first visit as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile. I felt bad because I didn't realize they were just maybe 30 minutes to closing, but they were very sweet and accommodated me for my takeout. Tables are set with plates and cloth napkin and fresh flowers. I will definitely be back for a sit down dinner with Hubby. They have a point system, I entered my phone number to pay my bill it asked for my birthday day and month. Well little did I know that I was gonna be surprised with a birthday bonus. Couple of days after my visit I received a birthday surprise for a discount on my next order. I had literally just joined the point system and already blessed with a birthday gift. Today was my second visit which I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Oak. I was curious and asked how long they've been here. The restaurant has been here for two years. When I entered the restaurant, the gentleman greeted me again with a smile and ready to serve me. I mentioned the birthday surprise and wanted to use my coupon and without hesitation, he walked me through the process of how to claim my gift. I love how they package my food to go, took the time to place it in a plastic bag so that the curry would not spill. The food was nice, extremely hot and delicious. Right off the bat, this restaurant is located in a small shopping complex right off of Dulles Ave! They have a beautiful painting that catches your eye as you make your way into the restaurant. The service is incredibly great and fast! My friend and I decided to order off of their lunch menu which includes soup! The soup of the day was Tom Kha and it was so delicious that I wish I had asked for another bowl! For my main I decided to get Spicy Basil with chicken and my friend got the Green Curry with chicken! Both of these dishes were nice and flavorful! I do wish they had added more meat rather than vegetables but it was still pretty good! I got their pad see ew and it was no good. When the dish first came the smell seemed off but I thought that was just me possibly. I tried the noodles and they were soggy mess. The beef didn't taste good either and had slight smell to it. I ate about 60% of the dish before giving up and leaving the rest for trash. I was super hungry as well so that should tell you how bad. Same for the Thai tea .. it wasn't good for the price they charged. The only good things would be the ambiance, music playing lightly, and service which is how I ended up with giving them the above score otherwise food wise it would have been a 1 star review. I haven't tried anything else on their menu so can't speak about how they would turn out but based on my experience so far I won't be coming back unfortunately. read more

Quality is slipping. Roti has been extremely greasy to the point of barely being palatable. Curries and sauces are getting more watery. This place has been great so it's unfortunate that they're having a hard time staying consistent in quality.
