Cute local spot in Missouri City. The owner is very nice and the service he provided was great. I tried the garlic fried fish - red snapper. It was crunchy crispy fried. I was hoping for more fish meat in each bite but it was more of a crispy fried taste. The batter and seasonings were great on it tho. My boyfriend had the pad ginger with beef and he thought it tasted great as well. Though he did mention if they had put 3 spoons on ginger, 2 spoons would have been enough. There was no skimping on the ginger. We also had the tom yum soup as a starter and that was very rich in flavor. I loved that. And the mayo with sticky rice was delicious as well.

Chicken pad kee mow - 9.5/10 - Got this medium spice and it was perfect and flavorful, noodles were cooked well Chicken spicy basil stir fry - 9/10 - Soo tasty, i would personally get this with more spice Crispy rolls - 9/10 - These were so crispy and i loved the vegetable filling This spot has become one of my favorite halal thai spots in town (probably after thai square). I liked everything we tried and would definitely go back here

I think this is one of my favorite Thai places in the southwest area in terms taste, portion-size, price, and service. Smaller restaurant and has a very home-y feel to it. Plenty of parking in a lot. The first day I came here, the A/C wasn't working but the staff was really accommodating to seat us closest to the fan and offered to move us when another party left so the fan wouldn't be blowing the napkins every where. I think they are very friendly, check up often, and fast. My SO loves their roti but I agree with another reviewer: it's like a deep fried pancake though it does taste good. I love all their stir-fry dishes, noodles, and curries (great flavors and not water-y like some places). I don't think you can go wrong with anything here and the portions are very generous. They also stuff the take-out boxes for to-go orders (which is not common - I know many places that give smaller portions compared to dine-in) and they package it thoughtfully to prevent anything from spilling. A favorite of mine and I love coming here!

We ordered to go for our lunch meeting. The packaging was well done. No spills. It retained heat for a good 30 mins after it was dropped off at our work. The food was alright. What stuck out was the chicken satays and crispy rolls (my favorite of the take out) and roti. I would order these three again. The roti is more like a deep fried onion pancake. I did like that they cut it since we had around 10 people eating all of this. The rice had a kick and very dense. It's made with jasmine rice. It is a good filler. The pad kee mow was meh. I liked the ingredients but the noodles were broken up a lot so texture was off. There was red curry but it was more like soup. Edible but not again. Btw, everything is in the oily side. But not too oily.

As someone who hasn't eaten much Thai food this was a great first experience. Called in the order ahead and it was coming out the kitchen as soon as I arrived. I enjoyed the golden bag wontons and my husband really enjoyed the Pad Thai. The chicken in the sweet and sour stir fry was chewy but had good flavor so if I had it again I'd get a different meat

Overall good food and fast service. The crispy egg rolls had a weird taste to them so wouldn't suggest getting them. The soup that comes with your lunch had no meat in it and little vegetables but the flavor was good. The green curry was yummy! It's clean inside and there wasn't a lot of people.

Went to @thaihalal.bistro recently, enjoyed this spot previously and was the same this time. this time ordered the Wings, Satay, Fryer Kaprow Blessing Beef, Pad Kee Mow, Pad Garlic and the Thai Iced Tea. and honestly I can't say anything negative about any of it. Wings - deep fried with Thai sweet sauce were just perfect. Chicken Satay - tender juicy chicken, and the peanut just goes so well with it. Fryer Kaprow Blessing Beef - this is a house special item and it was amazing, cropped Beef with green beans, Thai Chili, served with rice and a fried egg. probably my favorite item I've tried at this place so far. overall this is a great place. have had an excellent experience everytime I've been here.

Roti. Pricey for the quantity, but delicious!

Halal or not, the food here is simply amazing. So far, I tried their roti, Tom yum soup, pad Thai, fried rice, and various curry dishes - everything was amazing and the portions were satisfying. The Tom Yum soup here is superb. I would rate it in my top three for sure. I tend to select a spice level too high for me and regret it in the end, so beware and learn from my mistake! Level 3 out of 5 is perfection. The service during our last visit was outstanding. We celebrated a birthday here and our waiter was very accommodating and nice. Service makes a huge difference in overall experience. Interior is ok. Lots of cultural decorations and murals. Lots of natural lighting. No major wow factor but it's all about the food and service. They have specials on certain days of the week (I think either tTuesday or Thursday), so if you want a deal, something to consider.

I ordered Uber eats from Thai Halal Bistro. They were running a special one the chrispy rolls, buy one get one free. Both items were very delicious and warm by the time I got them. However, if I had to pick my favorite it would have to be the chrispy rolls. I'll definitely eat from here again.

Great little Thai place tucked away in Sugar Land. Stopped in for lunch one weekend based on a recommendation from a friend. Ending up leaving with a full belly of delicious food. Our table ordered three dishes: pad thai, fried rice, and green curry. Pad thai: classic flavors, the noodles were cooked well, and the chicken was not dry at all. A mix of sweet and savory, this is probably my most ordered dish at Thai places. This place makes one of the top versions. Add the squeeze of lime and crushed peanuts on top: perfect. Fried rice: this is a dish I would normally skip. For me, fried rice is a Chinese dish and I mever paid attention to it on Thai menus. But that changed a few months ago and I haven't gone back since. Moist and packed full of flavor, this is very different from a traditional fried rice. With slices of chicken, green onions, and perfectly cooked rice, this one was a winner. Green curry: we ordered this one as medium spicy and it was perfect. The spice was definitely there but not too much to overwhelm the dish. The bowl was filled with chicken, bell peppers, onions, green beans, and eggplant. The eggplant ended up stealing the show. It was delicious!

Roti with curry - some of the best roti I've ever had, by far

Loving all the new halal Thai places opening in Sugar Land lately! Thai Halal Bistro being one of the newer ones, we had to check this place out. We ordered a few appetizers to share: - Roti 5/5: the best crunchy roti I've ever had. How do they get it crispy and soft at the same time?! - Chicken Satay 3/5: not the biggest fan of chicken satay usually. This has good flavor but I would pass next time. - Tom Yum Soup 4/5: great depth of flavor. We got this pretty spicy and it was perfect. I feel like you must do spicy for Tom yum! I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and it was huge! The prices are a bit higher than what you typically see for Thai, but the portions are definitely much bigger. My noodles were a little too sweet for my taste - but I still enjoyed it. My husband ordered the panang curry and it was amazing. The coconut was really prominent. I would stick with ordering curry next time. The interior was clean, given they just opened. The employees were nice, a bit slower but that wasn't an issue for us really. Overall, will definitely be back to try their other curries and dishes!

Great new add on in sugarland/ Missouri city ! Fresh & authentic entrees. Inviting wall art, host and servers. It was soft opening for them but they were busy and attentive! It is a bit inside in the strip but should fast become noticeable due To their attention to detail. Spice levels is not very high. But fish sauce add on can add to the hotness!! Soup was good but a bit thin consistency! Will try again soon!

The curry dishes are too sweet. The Pat Thai noodles mushy, beef cooked like jerky and I had to pay $4 extra for the beef choice.

My wife, the vegetarian, asked if they can customize the Tex-Mex Enchiladas (instead of the plain cheese version), and they did. They made her a spinach and cheese, and she loved it. Two of their bean choices were vegetarian (not the charro beans which has bacon), and I think they had two vegetarian rice option too (no meat broth added). We ain't in Queens anymore…read more For years, I've eaten on Shah's all around the borough, initially out in Ozone Park and Briarwood before finding a real audience in Sunnyside. Now that they've sufficiently blown up around NYC, I was a bit shocked (and excited) to see them finally come to H-Town. What's the verdict? It's good enough to pass muster for NY standards (#1), is open super late, and will likely be my go-to Halal food for the foreseeable future. Since I've only had it in cart form, I'm still a buggin over the fact it's become a franchise. It's similar to my shock of eating Halal Guys at a store for the first time. The digs feel as foreign (prices, large, clean and bright interior) as it does familiar (taste, logo, etc.). Even though I had a laugh seeing the wall photo-mural of a Shah's cart in Times Square, I did appreciate the nod to Ozone Park with the 121st & Liberty street signs. The chicken + lamb combo platter ($12) is and always will be the winner. The lamb had the same kind of seasoning that most Halal spots out here try to replicate but can never get right. The rice was fluffy, and the white sauce was easily the highlight. I can understand why they've decided to bottle it up and sell it as liquid gold. It makes every meal better. Kofta ($12) and chapli ($13) are rarely my favorites, but I knew I had both in platter form. The addition of adding chickpeas and these other salads is not something I'm used to from the carts (#2) but I loved the fact it was drowned in the white sauce with a dash of hot sauce. The latter is supposedly extremely hot, but I didn't find it that spicy. While I have to say the cheeseburger was a bit of a disappointment (overly bready, thin patty), the pakora chips and french fries were fabulous. They were perfectly seasoned, had a nice crisp, and frankly would be an excellent, gut-busting addition to any platter. I don't love the extra charge, but I hope they remain consistent with it. This store location in Westchase along Westheimer is an up and coming part of town. There are numerous Middle Eastern businesses in the adjacent area, along with an abundance of parking spots and a good amount of late night activity. Service was friendly but I do hope they keep their standards up. As time goes on, I'm 100% convinced this will be a destination for the many late night meal seekers and fans of NY nostaligia. __________ (#1) Which automatically supersedes a lot of the ones here in Houston. Just keeping it real. (#2) Is the chickpeas a Houston thing? Genuinely curious.
