Honestly my first time experience here was nice, My specialist was Alex and she was very kind and she knew what she was doing. (Brazilian) However the second time I came here was a complete waste of mine and their time. First of all, I had no idea what specialist I got but she needs to work on her costumer service, I don't know if she meant to say it in a rude way but honestly I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt. She told me that getting waxed would be a complete waste of money and that I should wait longer which okay I can understand not much hair but it's hair that bothers me. I don't want to wait a whole week or two to get it waxed. I make my own money and I would like to do whatever I want with it. So for her to dismiss me like I was wasting my parents money on some wax is insane. I already made an appointment here and I already made my way to this place just for you to tell me to put my shirt back on and go back home is crazy. This place is clean, the staff are helpful and welcoming. I was able to book online and they had plenty of times available so I was able to go on the day and time I wanted to. Street parking is challenging but there are two parking structures nearby with free parking. Prices can be a bit on the higher side unless you book a series or get the pass. Pricing is clear, easy to understand and they do anything from brows to Brazilian. The wax is high quality and leaves your skin soft. read more

There is no tldr for this one I went in for my first ever waxing at this location last year. I'm a guy and was nervous, but I wanted to get it done for myself. As a man, reception being right up front with clear and clean front windows facing out to the main street was a bit alarming for me. But the welcome was fine. I met my waxer and she was nice. Although we didn't discuss anything before she started waxing, she was able to adjust quickly as I hadn't wanted a completely bare front. For my very first time, I was disappointed that she didn't slow down a bit and ended up missing spots which I didn't notice until after I was home. I was in the room, undressed, waxed, and out of there in 17min. The advert is extremely confusing. Everywhere it was said your first wax was Free. So assuming so, I was surprised that I paid a fee at the end. Even though it was 1/2 off their standard price, it was not mentioned anywhere I could see in their free wax ads. All in all, I'm sure people love this spot and I understand why they do. It just isn't for me. read more

If you enjoy double standards, then this is the place for you! I've been to the Burbank European Wax Center multiple times, but after my most recent experiences, I will never be back. Back in July, I arrived early for my appointment and was made to wait 16 minutes past my scheduled time. That's an entire appointment slot, yet no one apologized, acknowledged the delay, or pretended to care that my time was wasted. I let it go since it was a first-time offense, and even tipped despite the blatant unprofessionalism. Today, however, when I arrived just a few minutes late, the receptionist named Rachel immediately marked me as a no-show -- while I was standing right in front of her. She was literally leaving me a voicemail telling me I had "missed my appointment" as I was speaking with her coworker checking in. When I pointed out the obvious double standard -- they can run as late as they want with no accountability, but if a customer is a few minutes behind, they refuse service -- she gave me nothing but several robotic responses like, "I don't make the rules." It was patronizing, dismissive, and frankly insulting. Even after I explained my prior experience of being forced to wait almost 20 minutes, not once did anyone acknowledge the hypocrisy, or show the slightest concern. Instead, they doubled down on their rigid policy while ignoring their own lack of professionalism. The message is clear: your time means nothing here. They can waste it freely, but if you dare inconvenience them by even a few minutes, you're treated with condescension, and your appointment is lost to the wind apparently. Save yourself the frustration. There are plenty of places in LA that value their customers, run on professionalism, and treat people with basic respect. This location is not one of them. I originally booked for a Brazilian because they had a huge discount for first timers, when I got there the ladies at the front were super sweet and went over everything I needed to know. I was waxed by Evette who is the nicest lady I have ever met, she was very kind and accommodating and always made me feel in control. When she could tell it was getting pretty painful she was give to give me a break and talked me through the whole process. Definitely recommend her ! The place is very clean and put together and is welcoming. Already booked another appointment with Evette ! Overall this place is really great for first timers and/or returners read more

First time coming here and horrible experience there was a few streets closed traffic everywhere so I was running a little late called to notify them and they told me they have a 9 min grace period my appt was at 1:15pm called them at 1:22 was also on hold for 5 min by the time the second employee answered the phone they told me I had to wait til 2:30 will never come back here again. Drove 30 min for nothing. On website it doesn't say anything about a 9 min grace period or confirmation email it just say if running late call. read more

Update: So after my terrible experience at European Wax Center, I found Flirt Salon on Hollywood Way in Burbank. It's a wax studio and does excellent work, super clean and comfortable. It was $70 for back & shoulders, compared to $115 for European! Excellent job! I will definitely be returning to Flirt Salon in Burbank and never going back to European wax center. I've seen this location for a while since I live close by and decided to make a same day appointment the other day. Upon arriving I was greeted by the front desk. The space was really nice and clean and very inviting. Once I was checked in, I waited about five minutes and I was seeing very quickly. My service was great ! Especially for my first bikini wax I felt very comfortable and safe during my appointment. My wax specialist really helped me to manage the pain during the more sensitive areas by talking with me in order to distract me which was very nice of her. I went yesterday to get a full leg wax and underarm wax. The girl that did my waxing was very quiet and uncomfortable almost the entire time. She seemed annoyed that I was asking her questions and that it was my first time ever getting waxed. I noticed she had no system to the order she was waxing me but I let her do her job. I left and put my leggings on and didn't notice until today out in the sun that she missed STRIPS of hair on my upper and lower leg. Literally the biggest waste of time because I don't have the time to go back so I'll be shaving for the next 3 weeks of my vacation. Will never be back and will be calling the manager. I had a questionable experience at another wax center in my area this morning, so I quickly called up the Burbank European Wax Center to make an appointment to fix the mess that was left prior. My appointment was with Evette, she was super sweet and she took the strips off so well, I couldn't even feel it. Basic, fast, reasonable wait times, appointments suggested as you get in and out even more quickly. It wasn't a luxury experience but do you really need that when you are a guy getting your eyebrows waxed? Since I'm getting older I definitely have the nose and ears done. It's fast and minimal pain.
