I stopped in to get my nails done, and the guy who did my nails was SO rude to me. He didn't do my nails the way I asked and got upset at me for telling him when he wasn't doing them the way I asked. He kept insisting to do my nails the way he wanted. All I wanted was a simple no chip French. He encouraged me to not do a French and do a solid color instead.. he left my nails thick, uneven and they've already started to lift. Only giving two stars because the staff was very nice and helpful, however I don't understand why I had to pay for an acrylic removal when the lady used nail tips to take my acrylic off and then finally SOAK my nails AFTER the PAINFUL pushing of a nail tip prying off my acrylic that was grown out but still very much still on my nails. I got my nails painted as well and a week later my natural nails started to break off. I was horrified to see my natural nails be so broken up with ridges of pulled off layers when I removed the polish. Mind you, during the service I asked the lady if she was supposed to soak my nails first and then use a drill or other tool to take off the acrylic, but she continued to reassure me that her damaging "hack" was much FASTER, when there was only two other customers there. read more

Polish didn't go all the way down to cuticle leaving small gap which I hate when that is done. No lotion at all on my hands during manicure. Worst service I've ever experienced. I came because it's close to my home but never again. It took almost an hour just to get dipped nails off. It took him almost 15 mins to attend us and when he almost did, a man came in and he went to go attend him before us. The acetone was on our nails for like 40 mins which usually takes 10 mins max. On top of that, it wasn't checked once within that time to see how they were doing. If they mess up taking off nails, imagine the rest. I normally go to a different salon but have been here a few times when I can't get into my regular salon-- well bad idea!The staff is very friendly but the quality of service is POOR. I recently got a no chip and had to tell the technician where I saw the polish bleeding, my no chip is totally uneven and the top coat caused brush marks on my nails. When I called this out she told me to keep it under the light- no that didn't work. When I asked her to fix the bleeding of nail polish she didn't even use nail remover just her fingernail?!! Overall i could have done a no chip on my own- and I'm not good at doing my own nails--and i wouldn't be out 30 bucks. Oh and also they don't take credit even though they say they do. Came in last minute on a Thursday to get ready for a Friday wedding. They were able to accommodate and didn't turn me away even though it was close to closing time. I was greeted right away and picked my no chip and a polish for my toes. My no chip was soaked off and taken off properly - something that matters when you don't want your natural nails damaged, and I have been to places that have used dirty implements to scrap and scrap causing damage. The tech was helpful in coordinating my polishes. She worked quickly on my toes but they looked great and the polish has lasted. My no chip lasted as well. After I was done I was moved to a drying table where the tech gave me a shoulder massage and that is where I was blown away. I felt cared for and pampered and that's important when paying for these services. read more

I decided to go to this nail salon because I was unable to get into the nail salon I always go to and Nail Art 4 was just down the street from my temporary resident. Big mistake!! I should of been patient and waited to get into my nail spot. I wanted a gel fill and a pedicure. The pedicure went well. As for my gel fill, not so much. I kept getting asked that I should get the "no nail chip", I said no thank you, I just want a gel fill. I was asked this at least five times. Mind you they have gel sets and gel fill on their list of services they provide. The woman seemed very annoyed that i didn't want the "no nail chip". She did a awful job on my gel fill. She hurt me during the drilling process and left some nails thicker than others. She passed me on to get polished by another nail tech which left nail polish on my skin. I could of done a better job. Terrible. This was my first time at Nail Art 4 in North Aurora. First of all, when I sat down and told the lady what I wanted, she was arguing with me as to what I should get. I think I repeated myself about 8 times tell her, no....I want this. I wanted a acrylic full set and kept arguing that I need to get a no chip on top of the acrylic. Completely unnecessary and I have never done that in my life. She told me I will be waiting too long if she paints my nails with regular polish and she doesn't have enough time to paint with regular polish. Which makes no sense. So I asked her, do you not have time to do my nails then? I didn't understand, I was a customer sitting in her chair and she's telling me she doesn't have enough time for what I was asking for. After I asked that question, she stopped pushing the no chip polish. All throughout my time sitting there, she was getting up, doing other peoples nails in between. It was crazy. The worst part, She was, she was so rough and barely paying attention. She would have that "sander" on and moving it across my nail and be looking up at people or talking. She hurt me multiple times and I actually ended up bleeding because she was sanding over and into my cuticles. Needless to say, it was very painful and I felt stressed the whole time because of that. She sanded into literally all my cuticles and they are all ripped up/bleeding, and are sore now from all the damage she did. I have been here a couple of times because it is close to my house but it is not my go to place nor have I ever been blown away. My experience last night was one that I won't forget nor makes me want to ever go back. I called in the afternoon to make an appointment for 2 people at 6:45pm one for a dip manicure and one more a pedicure. I arrived on time and my friend was 5 minutes behind me. When I arrived I was told to sit down and wait until my friend got there, which is understandable. After my friend got there they told her to go wait in one of the nail chair while I sat in a pedicure chair with no water or anything. Both the employees there were working on someone, little did I know at the moment I got there they had just started om them both. We sat there for 30 minutes with no one saying anything to us, finally we decided that we didn't want to wait any longer. When we got up to leave and the lady said "You don't want to wait?" and then I explained "Well our appointment was 30 minutes ago, so no we have other things we need to do tonight". I honestly do not expect much from nail places but honoring an appointment is one of them. If you cannot honor an appointment and respect you customers then I do not want to give you my business. I used to go to this nail salon in high school and never really had major issues. Usually, I'm not one to complain. I was at my parents house today so I thought I would go there instead of the place near my house. At 10:45 I scheduled an appointment for 12:30, giving them plenty of time to fit me in. I wanted a fill and a pedicure. I arrived at 12:30, they put me in chair and no one said ANYTHING until I asked when I would be seen at 1:00. They put me in a different chair and I was helped about 10 minutes later. At this point I only had time for a fill, which was done poorly. She seemed like she was rushing the whole time. My nails have bumps in them as she did not file the gel out properly. The color was done poorly as well. She was very aggressive and I was left with several cuts on my fingers. I'm super unhappy and will not be coming back. They tried to get me to schedule an appointment for tomorrow for my pedicure but I would not waste my money there ever again. read more

I would NOT recommend this place. I went 2 years ago and the towel was so hot it burned my legs. I tried it again last week and the lady pulled out the grater for my foot and started using it without asking and took a chunk of skin off my heel. She then took some blue liquid and poured it on and it stung badly. I asked her to stop and she tried to tell me I should have more. I had to tell her multiple times to not use that or the grater on me again. My foot kept bleeding and I had to finally ask her if she could get a bandaid. I just paid $45 for a bad manicure and pedicure. When I got there, the salon wasn't busy, but they rushed my pedicure. They started to get busier and rushed my manicure even more. Both my toenails and fingernails were left needing more filing. I asked her to shape my fingernails and she cut them down- and they are so short that they hurt. I have polish on my toes and my fingers, not just on my nails. The polish is streaky and they did a terrible job with my cuticles. I got more of a salt scrub than a mani/pedi. To top it off, the woman who did my mani/pedi went into my purse and into my wallet to get me to pay while my nails were drying. I tried to ask if it could wait, but she just kept going. I arrived with my 14 year old daughter around lunchtime on a Friday afternoon for pedicures. Due to another appt I had, no time for manis. They kept pushing manis after I mentioned several times I don't have time. The woman doing my feet kept talking to other workers in their language the entire time, never engaging me unless trying to up-sell. The place seemed run down and a little dirty. When I gave tip, i gave her for both people that did our pedis, she asked if tip was ver both, and the way she said it was kind of rude, then she starts talking loudly to other girl in their language. Tina is rude and obnoxious, loud and unprofessional. They all speak their language which makes u feel uncomfortable and their English is so bad u need to guess what they are saying. All Tv and radio is their native programs which is annoying. U may end up with 3 people working on you and they all DEMAND a tip. It's very rude how they go about getting tipped. They DO NOT sanitize their tools which is gross, u basically getting worked on with the same tool that the person before u.( even pedicures, they use the same scrubbers and brushes without sanitizing them first) I've experienced this first hand. I'm surprised no one filed a complaint with the department of health, they were fined before for using razors to shave off skin on feet, like I said it's very rude unprofessional and gross environment and they charge extra without letting u know up front! I live 2 minutes from this salon and tried them several times over the last ten years, and never wanted to go back. Two months ago the nail technician I went to for years retired, so I gave it another try. I loved it! The ladies in this shop are happy, and it's a very pleasant place to go. Then I took my daughter for a mani pedi and she really liked it too. Yesterday I went for a pedi and fill. Tina suggested a mineral salt treatment for the pedi, which I've never done but decided to try it - extra $10 well spent. They even did most of the fill while I had the pedicure, which I loved. They give you a neck massage while your nails dry. The tv is on mute, which I really appreciate. Tina is loud as the other reveiw said, but I really like her and she's fun. The other review talked about the ladies talking in their language, I don't mind that at all. I go to relax, not talk, and it seems ike they are all having fun which makes me feel good. I highly recommend this shop and now I've had 3 technicians - all excellent. read more
