Seemingly racist: sat and waited for 15 minutes only for her to finish her current customer and start on someone else's pedicure who just walked in without an appointment and asked for a pedicure. She told me to wait for her husband to come and do my nails even though I had already been waiting a while and have been there several times and left a tip for her each time. I have to conclude she deemed the white woman who just walked in to be a more important customer who needed to be started first. Unacceptable. That must be why their shop is always mostly empty. I've experienced racist practices before, and it hurts everytime. I simply walked out with my son and she didn't even say anything. Smh read more

Needed a manicure and this place was where I was already shopping so I went in. I asked if they did dips they said Yes but what I had was not like any dip manicure Ive ever had. My biggest complaint was the nail station I was at was very dirty. As I looked around it became clear their cleaning standards were subpar at best... just glad I wasn't doing a pedicure! No hand massage...no hand lotion ....and the worst part was it was $10 more than any other place I've been to in the area. Would give 0 stars if I can. First of all, the nail technician was very rude to me, which I didn't realize the severity of it until later. This was my first time being to a nail salon in general as I am a man, and I wanted this to be a nice bonding experience between my girlfriend and I. Needless to say, I was initially surprised by the outcome of my nails. The nails looked absolutely nothing like the picture I had shown her, which takes me back to red flag number one. She initially glanced at the photo and never once looked at it again, because she quote on quote "knew what she was doing as a professional." I was just like ok, well I can't speak too much because this is my first time. She placed stickers on my nail instead of hand painting it as I had requested. One of the stickers adhesive folded onto itself and got stuck together, however she completely disregarded this and placed it on regardless. The second red flag was the fact that my cuticles were BLEEDING horribly throughout the entire procedure. She had never once addressed that fact nor offered apologies, I was just told to "wash my hands with soap and water", which I did about 6 times. The paint overall was pretty dull and looked rushed. When I came in for a refund, I was immediately placed within a world of chaos. The second I had mentioned the word "refund", it was as if the roof fell on the place. The technician who had done my nails began yelling at me, my girlfriend, and the customer associate up front. She began going on about how she had "done it right", and that it was my fault for miscommunication. Also mind you, I was never informed of the price for any of the procedures throughout all the steps. I will take accountability for my naivety for not asking explicitly, however I had assumed that there would be complete business transparency as per common decency. Back to the refund. The technician had offered that she can redo my nails for free, but I refused. I didn't want to see the same person who ruined my cuticles and had me bleeding down my fingers again. Expressing my discomfort seemed to make her even more upset, as she instructed the associate up front to give me a gift certificate. Not a refund, a gift certificate. It gets worse. The certificate only had a value of $40 attached, which is nowhere near what I had paid for a full set. I demanded for more compensation for my nail injuries, but was only met with even more verbal assault and intimidation. I decided that the business was not going to budge whatsoever, so I cut my losses and left with the certificate. It means more to me to have the ability to express my utter distastefulness and anger for this company than a sorry excuse for reparations. If I had anything to say to anyone wanting to get their nails done, I would profusely caution to BEWARE. Don't go to Yen! She will cut up your cuticles until they're bleeding. She's rough and will rush through doing your nails! She will also try to do what she wants to do on your nails just because it's more expensive. When I sat in her chair I explained that I wanted a natural shape cause I have a baby at home but she talked over me and insist that I get a coffin shape. I continuously told her I don't want sharp nails because of baby at home but she still attempted coffin nails and became upset when I told her that's not what I want. She was rude and left glue all over my fingers and continue to cut my cuticles being tough. My fingers are stinging! Still paid $85 though! read more

I watched a woman take the used foam flip flops and toe separators from the trash and put them back in the drawer to be used. They use soap on your feet instead of lotion, and spray them with body spray after... very odd. Didn't see anyone wash the tools and everything was just very odd. Won't be coming back. I've been to this location twice now and both times were horrid. First time I was yelled at fir not tipping in cash. Secind time I waited for an hour before getting started. pedicure went well and was done ok. but same nail tech tried doing overlay on my nails but apparently did not know how. so after she messed up my nails horrible by putting on way too much powder for an overlay the manager took over only to repeatedly burn me with the drill( had to drill down what previous tech did) cut my cuticles with the drill so much I bleed and put on my nail polish on gritty nails from all the drilling down that was done. less then 2 days later my nails are already lifting. Most of the workers here are very friendly. One of the females lack personality and comes off rude. I came in one day to get acrylics and the lady rushed and a few nails fell off a little after a week! So I came back and told the man and it seemed like he was going to fix it for free since it was her mistake. And he ended up charging me 25 dollars!!! I was going to come back since mistakes happen. If I could give 0 stars I would. Been here about 4-6 times first time was Vanny I believe his name is did my nails, he is a phenomenal nail artist and does his job well and like he wants to. The other times it was others, less friendly, didn't talk much and did an okay job. Prices are too high. The reason I am writing this review is because I got a regular gel pedicure for $45. The paint is textured. and she made me bleed. She cut down my nails completely and filed them round and uneven and didn't even ask how I wanted them filed? I came in with a still okay pedicure with longish nails that were shaped nice and square all even. And left with the worst pedicure of my life. I was clearly very unhappy with the job but she didn't ask if I thought it was okay or anything and upfront she said your total is $40. (She didn't even place the hot towels on my feet which they had previously done during other pedicures I've had here.. and dried my feet with paper towels....Then proceeds to charge my card for $45 I notice when she hands me the receipt to sign. She must've added her own tip? Very unprofessional and then was rude because I didn't tip her after she added $5 to my charge without asking. Will not be returning. read more

I have been getting pedicures and having my nails done for 30+ years and this place was by far the dirtiest and most unpleasant "salon" to spend a couple of hours at. My experience included two employees arguing with one another in front of me, a very dirty nail station that I was assigned to, an overflowing wastebasket near the wash sink, and a pedicure that didn't include any cleanser,soap in my pedicure tub - only water. I can hardly believe the health department hasn't shut them down. read more

I should have turned around and walked out when I was first seated to have polish removed. Soooooo dirty. The front door window was filthy, the manicure tables were dirty and dusty, the tops of bottles and jars were dirty. My pedicure went well although, even tho there were only 2 people in the shop, my pedicure was done in about 15 minutes. The other customer was receiving the same price pedi, had started before I ever arrived, and finished about 20 minutes after mine was. I wanted a dip manicure. Immediately upon a staring I should have asked him to stop. The base coat was going on in a thick yucky glob. He kept wiping it off and looking for other bottles. Every bottle was the same. He eventually started cutting off the dried glop with cuticle scissors. The same ones he used on me later to cut off polish dried on my skin! He then dropped the scissors back in the drawer with no evidence of cleaning. Run, run, fast. Praying I don't end up with an infection. read more

Very rude and miserable looking female works here , I wish I would of gotten her name . She started my pedicure , pointed for me to sit , water was so hot , instead of asking me to move my foot in and out of the water she would hit my ankle . Then the owners 18 year old son finished my pedicure. She never said one word . The owners were not there or I would of complained . She was also very rude to the other employees working there .
