Every employee at Cape Nails salon was extremely professional, courteous, and kind. Every customer left the salon so happy. Dao, however, has changed my apprehensive thoughts. Dao created my French dip powder manicure and French tip gel pedicure far better than my technicians at home. She's an artist and completed her work so quickly! I am extremely picky and am so pleased with her results. She was most gentle (no drill) and I recommend this salon to anyone in Sanibel. I will definitely book another appointment when I am back in Sanibel next year.

This place was absolutely horrible!!! I would never go back and never recommend!!! We had made an appointment for 2:30 and when we got there we had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to help us. Both of us got French pedicures, neither were done well, one too thin and the other had wobbly lines which we could have done better ourselves. They didn't even scrape the dead skin off of our feet or take care of them like usual, just a basic massage and cuticle trim. I also go a manicure, they didn't even shape my nails evenly. Then the staff convinced me to get shellack instead of regular polish saying it was much better and would only cost a little more, she then proceeded to charge $20 more for the shellack. She put a design on my nails which was done so poorly I also could have done better myself. If that is all not bad enough the prices were absolutely ridiculous! I walked out with an $85 bill for a Mani pedi

I had a dip manicure today at Cape Nails which will now be my mani-pedi home on Sanibel. Thuan (pronounced 2N) was my technician and this dip was as good (maybe better) as my long time summer tech up north. Cape Nails was just a little dated and cluttered but the practices clean and hygienic. The rapport among staff and patrons very kind and supportive. By far THE best dip manicure I've ever gotten! Melissa is SO sweet and did a phenomenal job. I'm about to go on week 4 of having this manicure and only 1 small chip and this is through lots of hand washing, sanitizer, washing dishes, cleaning, etc. I usually don't like dip because it's too thick, but Melissa does the perfect amount and makes sure it lasts long! Horrible attitude. Rude. Stay away. Tried calling. No answer. Went and was chastised for not calling... Pointed out that I tried calling. Was told, "we always answer. Go away." So I'm harangued by a nail tech w a bad attitude in front of silent strangers giving me sympathetic looks. Not sure how they stay in business. read more

My mom and I came here for pedicures while on vacation. Our total was $75 for 2 pedicures. I have no problem paying this price when I feel the service was worth it. The employees were nice, I had no issues with them. The pedicure felt rushed, though. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. This was a BARE MINIMUM pedicure, like the most basic thing I've ever had. A few scrubs on my feet and some lotion on my legs. Nothing that really should have been $38 per person. One of my toenails was filed extremely crooked, enough so that an ingrown toenail was guaranteed unless I fixed it. read more

Pedicures shouldn't be painful! My mom and I went today for pedicures - very average experience and the price was high. $36 for a pedicure with or without polish. The tech doing my mom's pedicure was very aggressive with digging around her great toe sides and cuticle area. We repeatedly asked her to stop. I asked my tech to ask her to stop. The toe is now red and tender. Hopefully it won't get infected. read more

Paid 76 dollars for a gel mani and regular pedi only to have the manicure chip and peel off completely the next day. Extremely overpriced for something that didn't last and took over an hour to get done..would not recommend read more

So great! Called before they opened to see their times and they answered/got me an appointment. Walked in before my appointment time and they took early. Super clean, calm and accommodating. Owner was so sweet and friendly. Wish I had had the time for a manicure with my pedicure! Price is a little over average but what I expected for a vacation pedicure. Awesome island stop! read more

The experience was pleasant, the prices decent, the actual nail painting meh. Nothing special, but not too bad. My 2-star review comes from the fact that, despite the fair cleanliness of the salon itself, none of the instruments were sterilized. There was a sterilizer in the corner but all the tools came out of and went back into the little cups next to the stations. I'm not particularly squeamish, and I don't expect a new package of personalized instruments every time, but using the same cuticle scissors or foot-scraper from one customer to the next is ick. No thank you. read more

My mom and I planned a girls getaway to Sanibel Island... and we decided to wait and get our mani/pedis at the beach. This was a mistake. The service was friendly. But it was really expensive ($50+ each before tip) and my mani is already chipping after 1 day and my nails are ragged. I recommend getting your nails done BEFORE heading to the beach! read more

Called in the morning and was able to make appointments for the same day for two people for pedicures. They even found time to paint my 10-year old's toes which thrilled her. The prices were as reasonable as I normally pay at home. The staff was friendly, the salon clean. I would definitely return! read more

Made an appointment a month ahead of time to coincide with my visit. Agreed to change days to get a morning slot. Couldn't be bothered to write it down apparently as I showed up to hee, hee we forgot. Told to come back in the afternoon. Everyone makes mistakes but this was handled very unprofessionally. read more

On vacation, so took a chance, and loved it! I had Dao, and she was perfect! She was gentle and maticulous. I had a regular pedicure and special manicure with Nail Envy nail strengthening polish with color ... looks like a pink french manicure. Total for both services was $57 before tip. Melissa was also there, and both gals are very knowledgeable about troubled nails, and gave me lots of good advice to deal with several issues my nails have. I would definitely go back! read more

This place was the BEST. The nail techs are soooo nice and gentle. They make sure that everyone thing feels comfortable. They have a great selection of colors for nails. If there was a way to leave zero stars I would. Called ahead said they had time for us, get there and was not the cleanest, guy didn't wear gloves during the pedi. Maybe lasted a total of 10 minutes after removing old polish. Total waste of wayyyyy over priced service. Charged me 67$ for a weak pedicure and painting kids nails and toes. Don't waste your time. read more

When I forgot their number I googled them and found that they had this web site and a way for me to thank them publicly for their wonderful and professional service over the years.I always get a friendly greeting when I come and go.They always try to accomodate my busy and last minute schedule for which i am very grateful. Cape Nails, I miss you. This is the first time since you opened the Salon that I can't come to see you all and have the best nail treatments and pedicure. Your the best I wouldn't trust anyone else with taking care of my hands and feet whether it's Dow or Tim they all do a fantastic job. My daughter and I were walk ins. Sam took care of both of us. He was very nice and efficient. My daughter decided to have her toes done and there was no problem. Shop was clean. We would definitely go back when visiting Sanibel. Think pricing was average 2 color changes for hand and a toe color change=$35 plus tip. read more

I've had several different nail techs over the years, and every single one has been skilled, patient, and detail‑oriented. Zeilin, one of the nail techs at Phanny's, is exceptional. I've been seeing her specifically for builder‑gel nails with designs, and she never disappoints. Whether it's dramatic artwork or a crisp French manicure, I always leave completely satisfied - she is truly GREAT. My nails last about three weeks (they grow fast!), and the quality never fails. Skip this place.

I immediately noticed how clean the salon was and my appointment started on time. I got a gel pedicure and manicure and they were done within an hour. I will definitely make this a new tradition when I'm in the area. The prices were so much better than what I am used to and the service was impeccable. But when I went back to have a couple of nails fixed aflyer a week the new owner was arguing with my saying it was 2 weeks and was so rude I wished I had just gotten up and left. Vivian took me away from him and re did my entire set! I started to cry and they were so wonderful. if you go ask for Vivian or Johnny they are wonderful and good! AVOID THIS MAN AT ALL COSTS!
