It is unacceptable that I had to cut and file my own toenails after they pushed me off to an inexperienced tech after I made an appointment with a specific person to both my hands and toes. I have been to this salon multiple times without issue, but during my most recent visit I was treated unfairly due to a miscommunication between members of their own staff. Rather than acknowledging the mistake and working toward a solution, the owner and front desk employee were dismissive, argumentative, and appeared visibly annoyed that I raised a concern. Instead of providing good customer service, they chose to make me feel like I was the problem. The interaction left me feeling disrespected and singled out. Based on the dismissive attitude and microaggressions I experienced, I was left with the impression that I was not treated with the same level of respect and consideration I would expect as a Black customer. While I cannot speak to their intentions, I can speak to how I was made to feel. It's also worth noting that, despite visiting this salon several times, I have never seen another Black patron there. After this experience, I can understand why someone might choose not to return. I genuinely appreciate Ten's work, but customer service starts at the top. Because of how I was treated, I cannot recommend this salon and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Deeply Disappointed with My Experience at Angels Nail Salon…read more I visited Angels Nail Salon hoping to brighten my mood after losing a beloved pet the day before. I showed the technician a specific design and color I wanted--pink magnetic nails with heart details--but the result was nothing like what I requested. The color was different, the hearts weren't done at all, and instead of letting me know she couldn't do the design, she just continued without saying anything. My nails were also left uneven, with each one a different length. When I asked about using gel extender to improve the shape, I was told, "No, it's fine," even though it clearly wasn't. On top of that, the stickers were completely different--my reference photo had silver stars, but she used gold--and after only two days, they've already started peeling. This visit cost me $60, and I left feeling even worse than when I walked in. The lack of care, communication, and attention to detail was extremely disheartening, especially given the reason I came in. Only good thing I have to say is the pedicure was nice and I still tipped 20. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I wouldn't want anyone else to have an experience like this.

(I'll post my inspo pic and what the results were) I don't remember the guys name but he was nice and decently..professional while he was doing my nails, he offered to give me a discount on my nails and dropped the price to $80, which was greatly appreciated. The shape wasn't what I asked for but I wasn't going to complain because I was just going to buy a nail file and shape them myself because rarely when I would go get my nails done the shape was never what I asked for so I learned to fix them myself. The design was great actually I was very happy with it but my issue is with the integrity of the nails, whatever it's called idk but one popped off the day after I got them done, and I'm PRETTY SURE that means that they weren't done properly because I was just putting stickers on the shelves at work which barely bumping it shouldn't pop the entire nail off including base with no damage to the nail. So I was like oh well whatever and went on with my day, along with the next couple days where a couple more nails popped off. I didn't have a next day off till the following Monday so that's when I called and talked to the guy who said he was put in charge by the owners. Over the phone he said he understood and he believed me and asked me to bring the nails in, I had told him I had already just started picking the other ones off because I don't want them fixed and if possible just half money back, which I understand nobody wants to give a refund on an hour and a half worth of nail work but that's $80 for 4-5 days of nail wear. When I could've just bought $10 press ons and had those last a week. The whole time he held over my head that he could've charged me more but he gave me a discount...and I still would've come back. I would've asked for more back..like damn. Anyways I went in and showed him the nails and pretty much to sum it up he called me a liar. Called another nail tech over to rate his doing on the one single nail I had left on my hand and I had to explain the situation to her. So he sat there called me a liar and told me "you know if you're in a rough spot and really need the money I don't have an issue giving it back" and when I said alright I mean if that's what you wanna hear for me to get a refund and then he told me the policy is "no refunds" then talked her me got extremely rude with me and then asked me what I wanted. So I said calmly. "$40" and he insinuated that I'd have to be down bad to really want that $40 back so I said "ok sure I'm down bad I'm in a rough spot" and he said that's all I had to say and handed me the money. The whole point of this is for someone to do such an absolute shit job on someone's nails and then turn around and embarrass you in front of the other clients in the store?! Don't waste your money here. Don't waste your time.

They're both so detailed and take their time to make sure you're happy. I can definitely be a little extra sometimes , and Derek always understands exactly what I'm looking for and just gets it! He always checks in with me as he's doing my nails to make sure I like them or if there is anything I want to change. A couple days later I noticed the gel bubbling, turns out it was my toenail detaching. Less than a week later, 2 more toenails fell off. Did some research, turns out this is due to improper application/curing . Called the store to speak with a manager, requested a refund for the inconvenience. He laughed. Horrible customer service. Horrible turnout.
