The quality and customer service of this location is not up to par. I asked for a french white tip, very basic almond shape. When the lady doing my nails was shapping them i asked her to not leave them pointy (claw nails) she ignored me and continued to leave them pointy. I asked her again and she laughed and continued to talk on her bluethooth. I also told her that the hair of the brush was all over my white tip. She ignored me. When she finished coating the nails I showed her where my nails had hair on them undearneath the final coat and she just said "all done". When I approach the recepsionist about the issues with my nails the hair, the bubbles in my nails she said "ill tell her to be careful next time". So sad. I wouldnt recommend this nail place. read more

I've always had a good experience here. It's wide open and not closed in and tiny like most places. The staff is really welcoming and funny. Pedi-massage chairs are great and I highly recommend any of the staff for any of the chosen pedicures. I don't get fancy nails because I have to type on a keyboard fast often for work but everything else I have experienced has made it my go-to nail salon for Denton. read more

I've been coming here for over two years now and absolutely love it! The environment and staff are super friendly and make sure you feel extremely welcome. They'll definitely exceed all your needs. I used to like this place but every time i go and ask for something specific that isn't that hard of a design to do, they always insist I do another design or do it a different way and sometimes flat out refuse to do it the way I asked for.. I don't understand why if you can't do something say you can't and there won't be any issues but changing the way a customer wants to do their nails is really unprofessional and weird. The nails last pretty long though, just wish there was more effort into doing nails the way a customer asks. read more

Horrible experience. Came in for a manicure and pedicure and both were disappointing, especially the manicure. I had to take the polish off as soon as I got home it was so awful. My cuticles were bleeding. I was crying by the time I left. Management did not try and rectify the situation. I came here when they first opened and had a great experience but this place has quickly gone down hill. read more

Worst experience ever. Do not go here. They will waste your time & give you ridiculous excuses. They will try to squeeze every penny out of you. Calling ahead of time will not make a difference. They hire just about anyone to do nails. I went in for a pedicure and asked the guy doing my nails, Tommy, to make the water warmer. He said that the water would overfill, and I asked if it could be drained since it was a little cold. He said no b/c they're about to close soon. STRIKE 1. As Tommy is doing my pedicure he is hardly taking off the cuticles. He was rushing throughout the whole process. At this point the water is freezing and I am fed up. He takes the cuticles off the left foot and DOES NOT take off the cuticles on my right. The "massage" was basically just lotion getting rubbed on my legs. Once he's "done" he leaves before I can make any commentary about my trash nails. STRIKE 2. The manager goes and fixes my friend's nails so I ask him to look at mine. He clearly sees how terrible my nails look, and adds a second coat. In the middle of adjusting it he says that nail polish isn't good then completely removed the polish. This didn't make sense, my friend was using the same exact polish and her nails looked great. He took off all the polish and I just asked him to leave it alone. At this point I'm tried of being there, I called ahead of time and I was there for 2hrs listening to the manager give me excuses as to why my nails look trash b/c of the type of polish. The manager was more worried about us writing a bad review rather than fixing the problem. Since I was going to be forced to pay either way, another technician fixed my nails with a different color. It should never take 2hrs for a pedicure. If you're looking for a place where they will give you an explanation as to why your nails look trash instead of fixing the problem. Feel free to waste your time and money here. Very disappointed. Never go to Nail Bar & NEVER go to Tommy. read more

Highly do NOT recommend. I had to show the pedicure technician how to file nails and the paint job was so sloppy, friends asked if I had done it myself. The dip done on my nails was so thick and applied so sloppily, I had smudges immediately and then they started popping off within just a few days . I asked the technician Kathy to please take them off but she has ignored my request. This place is awful. read more

I have been on a journey trying to find a new nail tech since mine (Kathy) moved.....Well I did. Her name is Sally & she works at Nail Bar in Denton on Brinker Rd. It's not about the salon it's about the tech! I'm giving Sally a 5 star rating because my nails were done perfectly. Updating it to one star: my toenail chipped the second day. Today is the 4th day, and my gel nail polish is completely off of my thumb. I wear gloves when I do the dishes, my gel nails normally last 3 weeks. Not in this case, apparently. Don't waste your money. read more

I've been there twice. The first time was great. The second time will be my last visit. It was the worst pedicure I've had in 30 years. Nail tech used her drill to smooth my nails, I guess that's what she was trying to do. Overdid it and it was hurting. She didn't speak or understand English so could not understand what I was trying to tell her. 3 of my nails on one foot now have cracks in them. I'll have to let them grow out for a month or two before they can be repaired. read more

I just walked out from having nexgen and vanilla package pedicure and it was by far the best service ever. I unfortunately did not catch the name of the person who took care of my feet but Cathy was awasome on my hands. My pedicure was pretty affordable and I got pretty much all you could ask for when it comes to feet. I was given a had scrub, hot stone and oil massage and hot towels. I feel refreshed and rejuvenated! My nails where shipped just how I wanted and she took her time on it all and even took extra time to perfect certain areas without having to be asked to do so! worst nail salon in denton. showed them a picture of the nails i wanted and without hesitation they told me they could do exactly what i showed them. i picked out my base color and after doing 3 nails the nail tech switched the color i was using and made everything look different. when it got to finally putting the design on she did it very half ass and it wasn't opaque at all and i had to tell her multiple times to fix them and they looked nothing similar. after going home i became really irritated that i paid for nails that look nothing like i asked for so i called up there and was basically told they were gonna call the cops on me if i went up there because i was harassing them by telling them that they messed up my nails. i was also told a price before she started my nails and they made me pay $15 more. never going here again and i wouldn't go here if i were you either. read more

Very nice , new place. The atmosphere is nice so is the customer service. Got a $50+ pedicure but wasn't very impressed with it at all. Gone to some other places in which the money was well spent but... worker seemed to be going fast paced since it was getting busy and also the staff was short handed. THE WORST!! I called to ask about a gel polish change and was told it was $25. The guy told me that "right now the gel manicure price is only $30, so you might as well do that". When it was time to pay, a new guy was at the register and charged me $35. When I told him that I had spoke to someone on the phone, he basically said sometimes the people who answer can't speak good English and don't understand?! Ugliest nails I've ever had. The lady didn't understand English apparently and didn't listen to anything I said. I kept trying to tell her but she didn't understand. She also hurt my fingers so badly and then said I could come back tomorrow and she would fix it like I have all the time in the world. I agree with the other reviewers. I got my Nexgen nails done by Lisa the first time and they were PERFECT. Second time I went I got them done by Vien, a male tech, and although he was very sweet I had a lot of problems with him. He was too rough, made the layers too thick, and when I kept telling him they looked uneven he just said he didn't know what I was talking about. I had to file them down when I got home. I'm not suggesting that all of the male techs are terrible at this place, since I haven't experienced their handiwork, but I don't really want to pay $40+ to find out when I know that the female techs will most likely to a better job. They tend to listen more and pay attention to detail. That's not to say I haven't had terrible female techs because I have. But I will definitely be requesting Lisa from now on. read more

I had been here multiple times before last Saturday. I had always had a pretty good experience. Saturday was horrible!! I know the pedicurist thought I wasn't paying any attention but there was no massage and no foot scrub. I walked away with my feet feeling just as rough as when I came in. The polish is good. I also always do shellac on my nails and the manicurist seemed like she didn't know what she was doing when painting for a French polish. Two days later the edges are lifting and my hair is getting caught. My friend that was with me kept telling her pedicurist that he was hurting the bottom of her foot and he just kept going like he wasn't even there. Either he was not in tune with the clients reflexes and actions or he just doesn't know how to pay attention. Sad experience. read more

Read several great Reviews and was excited to go get my nails done for the first time in a while. The lady at the front was very nice and helpful and took me back quickly as a walk in and helped me decide which service to get then she got me a complementary flat Mamosa. This review is not about the nasty old champagne but just wanted to comment on it. Philip came out to do my nails and the one thing I hate most at nail salons is when they knick your skin and make you bleed. At other salons if they do happen to accidentally make you bleed they will put alcohol on it to sanitize it. Well Philip did nothing but try to wipe it off with his own finger and act like it didn't happen. Ewww! OK move on past the blood, as he was finishing my nails I was noticing that one nail wasnt even completely covered with the gel. So I asked him to fix it and he acted all annoyed and tried to tell me that it was too far done and he couldn't go back and fix it. I told him look at this, you can see my nail where there should be Gel, it does not look like the other fingers so can't you just put a little bit of gel on it to make it look like the others? So he finally did and then he shaped my nails like big squares. Nothing natural looking. They look like a newbie tried doing nails for the first time. Then, they charged me an extra $5 to have two different nails done. They said at first it would be $35 then changed it to $40. I don't know if I'll go back or not, but Phillip certainly will not be servicing me. read more

I brought my 5 and 7 year olds for their first mani/pedi and they loved it! The staff was patient, friendly, and the services were wonderful! Everything was very clean and organized and seeing the sterilized tools being used was the best part. Definitely will be my new pamper place! read more

My experience here was not pleasant. The nail technicians seemed confused. It seemed like it was their first day. The massages were awful...the equivalent of someone putting lotion on you, certainly not any massaging going on. The cuticle trimming was done with minimal effort. It's a nail bar but I was offered only water for some reason. I will not be back. read more

Told the guy at the front desk exactly what I wanted done. At first he said oh yeah we can do that. Then completely turned around and had me choose something else because they couldn't do anything patriotic that I wanted done for the 4th of July. Then it wasn't at ALL how he said would be. I'm very dissatisfied. Also got out to my car one of my nails was already chipped and all my nails are different lengths??? Wth? Would've given no stars if I could have. I got my nails done yesterday here for the first time and was cut not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES by the technician doing my nails. She was apologetic, but didn't offer any sort of remedy to my bleeding. Today, my cuticle beds are bleeding anytime I wash my hands. I tried to call to let the salon remedy the situation, and was told I can come by for them to put some antibiotic ointment on my nail beds and they can re-do my set. Why would I want a new set of nexgen nails if I'm just going to get cut again???? I will NOT be going back, and intend on letting anyone else know about what happened with me. read more

This place is TOP NOTCH! I travel here from Irving to see Lisa. The people there know my daughter and I by name - even over the phone they know who I am. I've been coming here since before they were "officially open". Yes! My daughter and I were the very first customers in the salon. Never a disappointment. The staff is very polite and respectful. Lisa KNOWS her clients. If I can't decide what I want done, she decides for me. She knows my signature color and is always ready with a smile and a hug and "hi, mom"! She will work on my daughter and myself at the same time - and has even done my daughter, myself AND my daughter's best friend at the same time. All with a smile and giggles. I've been seeing Lisa since I lived in Grapevine and she worked in Southlake. It's now a good 45 minute drive one way to see here and so worth it. I always look forward to my trip there. The pedicures are great - so relaxing - and my eyebrows always look great when she's done. I highly recommend this place and tell people I know to go there. read more
