I moved to the area and started going to Nail Bar, and I'm honestly obsessed! The salon is absolutely gorgeous, all pink and such a whole vibe. Every time I walk in, the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. Luci and her team are incredibly friendly, and the little touches they add like their amazing Armenian coffee make the experience even better. My nails always come out perfect, and I've officially found my go-to spot for anything nails. If you're looking for a place that feels luxurious, cozy, and full of great energy, Luci's is it.

I asked for hard gel on my nails, but I was worried about chipping since I usually do dip. They don't do dip, and the process has been damaging my nails, so I decided to try the gel. Check out this picture--even though I need a fill, my manicure is still chip-free after 33 days! This place is officially my new favorite for a stunning, solid red nail look.

Decided at the last minute to get my nails done. Nail Bar was quick to respond and I found an appointment immediately. They have a small parking lot out front and then street parking. I was the only one in the shop so I had the place to myself and was able to relax. The inside is an explosion of pink and florals. I hate trying to find a bottle of polish and what was great was they gave me a book of colors and I was able to select a color immediately. The two women got to work immediately and I liked that they didn't chat too much as I was able to just decompress while they worked on my nails. Loved the end color and the quality was nice. I didn't get gel, so the manicure lasted about a week. Cost was $80 (not including tip) for a regular manicure-pedicure. read more

I have officially found my new nail salon and nail tech! I recently moved and had been trying out different salons in the Los Feliz/Silverlake/Glendale area with no luck. I have been getting Gel-X for a while now because my nails were too weak for soft gel polish. I decided to try a hard gel manicure with Luci and I think this will be my new go-to! My nails feel super strong and I am confident they will last a good 3-4 weeks. Luci was extremely meticulous and detail oriented, my nails haven't looked this good in months. She was extremely efficient as well-- she removed my Gel-X nails and completed my new manicure in 1 hour. Once you get a Russian manicure, it is hard to go back to normal manicures. My cuticles look and feel amazing and clean. Incredible value and service!! Highly recommend. read more

Love Liana and this salon. She is amazing at what she does. She is very detailed, loves what she does and you can tell. The whole place is pink and girly, I love it. I have Gel x going strong for now, but I am excited for when we begin hard gel on my natural nail. I paid $80 for this set of Gel x with French tip and hard gel. Nail Bar studio never misses, I got my nails done once before here for a photo shoot and came came back a few months later this is my third time coming. very unprofessional salon, technicians just like beginners . She removed gel with a machine that she couldn't even control, When she taking off my gel they used the machine to take it off which was super painful . burned and damage all my nails . I asked for Russian manicure she don't know what to do , I asked just stop doing , However I waited an hour even though I came by appointment . Very unprofessional technicians very unprofessional stuff and salon . After damage all my nails technician was so rude without apologies she left her station and start doing other clients nails . *ZERO STAR REVIEW* I was staying in Glendale for a quick trip and decided to schedule in a mani-pedi. YELP search suggested this nail spot close by to our hotel and it appeared to have newly opened. From the few reviews and photos at the time, it looked decent enough. I popped into the salon first thing the next day to see if they had an appointment available but when I opened the door, the three employees simply stared at me for a beat as if I was in the wrong place? It looked like your typical nail salon, so I asked if they had time for a mani-pedi and took cards for payment. The three women working talked amongst each other, in what I assume was Armenian, and then addressed me. The eldest employee said "YES" and basically waved at me to sit down at a station with the youngest staff member. The older lady and other employee then continued, working in tandem, on the only other customer in the shop. As I sat down, what I didn't realize was that this was a Russian Manicure-only nail salon. This technique is a dry manicure (no soaking, no washing, no oils) and they use tools like an electric file to do your nails. I should have bounced the minute that older lady gave me that dismissive wave but I was telling myself to be open minded and give them a chance. The younger girl who helped me was nice but to be honest, she looked like she just rolled out of bed and came to work in her pajamas. As she was prepping my nails, she hardly spoke until her cell phone started blowing up. After ignoring it for the first three ring cycles, she finally picked the phone up to balance it on her shoulder and hissed angrily at whoever was on the other end. To say the vibes in the salon were UNCOMFORTABLE is an understatement. During my visit, they kept the front door locked (illegal, no?) and also didn't have A/C on, which made the place smell weird and stuffy. Just YIKES all around! As the young woman whisper argued with her caller, I decided to pull the plug on the whole operation and have her simply finish the distracted and terribly done manicure. After her contentious phone call, I was not about to let this girl cut up my feet with some electric power tools while she was in a bad mood. So to keep from hurt feelings, I made up an excuse about receiving an emergency text and paid cash to hurry TF out of there. The entire operation just got sketchier and sketchier during my visit, so there was no way in hell I was going to give them my credit card number on top of that. :( read more

Shopped around for structured mani or builder gel (it's what they call it here) and found Lucy! So happy I did. The salon is extremely clean and well taken care of. I was looking for a nail shop that understands that it's quality over quantity. I stumbled across Nail Bar Studio! I got Gel-X nails for the first time ever! I was a little nervous about how they would turn out, but they turned out absolutely beautiful! My nail tech is Lucy! Lucy is officially my go to nail tech. I've been to her twice now, and she's really the sweetest person ever. She cleans my cuticles so well, which is a huge plus for me! So many techs don't! Which makes the nails look sloppy over all. She makes my nails look so natural. No lumps, or bumps... just perfection. All the other ladies in the shop are really kind, I'm always made to feel welcomed. They even offer you water or coffee. This place has a very friendly staff. They are very accommodating and will make time for walk-ins. They took their time with my Russian style manicure and pedicure. They pay attention to detail and really do a thorough job in cleaning your cuticles. This place also has their own parking lot, which is a plus for me, as well. During your visit they offer you a refreshment and play nice chill music in the background. Making you feel comfortable and relax. This is my second time here and believe I have found my new nail spot. I've had the pleasure to have work done by two great nail techs that take their time. When I called the pharmacy this afternoon just to confirm that it's ready for pick up, I was told that they have no order on file. I just wasted a day of waiting for my meds, to only find out that nothing was actually done and nobody knows why confirmation email was sent to me for pick up. Walgreens obviously cannot be trusted, so if you want to receive your meds in a timely fashion, id suggest to go to a different pharmacy.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

DO NOT COME HERE. This place needs to go out of business. I have never had a worse experience at a nail salon or any establishment. Filed 2 of my nails until they bled, one was bruised and didn't apologize. (Update: they might be infected!!!) Each nail is a different length and shape and charged 40$ for an acrylic removal. She said this added cost is because they're "special removal". Whatever that means, I payed it anyway. I couldn't find any pricing online or in the store. It feels like they're just charging whatever and it feel extremely sketchy. I gave her exact change and she gave me the nastiest look realizing there was no tip. Usually when I get my acrylics removed it costs 15$. It also took them around an hour, usually I'm out in 10-15 minutes. My nails now have weird idents where she drilled to hard. My nails started splitting despite later despite being healthy prior. I will take accountability, I should've left at this point, I have no idea why I stayed and continued the painful service. The staff is not friendly. She started shaping my nails before the acrylic was fully removed(I'll attach a photo below). When I asked her if she was using acetone, she said no, because I was bleeding. I asked if she would use acetone and actually remove the acrylics like I asked. She ended up soaking my nails in acetone 3 separate times(which was painful). She ended up getting it all off. once it was off she continued to file, which hurt, included using the drill file under my nails thinning them out. The filing techniques had no regard for nail integrity and health. Please don't come here if you don't want your nails destroyed. UPDATE: they called me twice and showed no remorse and offered no solution. My name also wasn't connected to my appointment when I called, so they went out of their way to find my personal number. This made me extremely uncomfortable and crossed multiple boundaries. If they wanted to reach out they shoudve done it a different way. She was nice but was basically saying I was lying and to take it down and insinuated I couldn't afford the 40$ and that's why I was complaining. Extremely insulting. She then tried to get me to come back In to get acrylics. FOR FULL PRICE. The conversation then got extremely hostile, and I hung up. My original review was much more considerate and kind but that response was gross, accusatory and had 0 empathy, so I upated it. I really question these people's morals. I added photos of my nails to show the damaged. I've never left a yelp review before but I've never had such a terrible experience. I've been getting my nails done for 5 years and have never had a problem with a nail salon. Even if some people had a good experience don't risk it. Please don't come her if you don't want your nails destroyed. This is dangerous and negligent. UPDATE 2: my nails are in worse condition than yesterday. read more

Hands down the worst pedicure I've ever gotten . I paid $65 for a 20 min pedicure she suggested the "smart" pedicure when I requested callus remover (did the blade runner for like 10 seconds) made me bleed, tried covering it up then drenched it in alcohol so it burned and no massage at all . I came here as an emergency and I regret it so much. I pay 65$ at my other nail salon and literally get paraben wax A MASSAGE hot rock massage everything . Also this yelp page is fake it has nothing to do with the real place it even has a completely different name. Horrible service! I have never has such a terrible experience at a salon. the nails were lopsided and took a very long time. the nail tech seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. beside that the staff was AWFUL. I present white but speak Armenian. the nail techs didn't know I could understand them the whole time. ive never experienced such nasty customer service. they said so many terrible things about me and my appearance. not to mention the nails were incredibly expensive for the quality of service provided.
