He does a great job and is the perfect amount of "chatty" not too much, but also not weirdly silent. He's never cut my skin by accident, but someone else there did. I went back though, because of the good prices and convenient location for me. I'm glad I did. Only knocked off a star because I wish they had more colors and because their strong point is definitely not delicate-looking nail art - it's great for French tips, bold and glossy acrylic sets, and gel manis, but ask them to draw a flower and hold on to your hat because it might get weird.

Recently in the last year, I wanted to start getting my nails done at places that were smaller and more personalized, and this is as personalized and private as it gets! When we first walked in, Lucy made us feel very welcomed and at ease. You are the only person there and all the attention is focused on you. Lucy was so accommodating that she let my mom and I come in together and hang out with each other. Lucy is very funny and keeps the conversation going. Her attention to detail is amazing, as I was getting a more complicated design. She has a lot of patience and wanted to get the design just right and make sure I was happy without rushing. You can tell that she really enjoys what she's doing through her work. I already booked my refill with the same nail design even before I left Lucy's place for a refill for for my gel-x tips and design. Although there are nail salons that are much closer to me, driving half an hour is definitely going to be worth it to me each time to get my nails done at Lucy's for more gel-x tips and gel pedicures! Elise Hamilton is one of the best in her field! She has been my cutter (is that even a a salon…read moreterm?!) and colorist for well over a decade now and i have followed her religiously throughout the Pioneer Valley. She's very hip and does an amazing job w/short edgy cuts. If you want to get risky with a cut and color she's happy to take you there. (While still making you and your hair look great!) What makes her such a pro is that she listens to what the client wants while taking into consideration their features and lifestyle and what would work best for them. She works hard to incorporate all of these elements into your cut/ color b/c Elise knows giving an amazing haircut is only half the battle. She understands the real challenge is making the cut easy for the client to maintain and looking good once they walk out the door. This is what makes Elise such a stand out in her field and invaluable stylist. She gives terrific haircuts, but more importantly, she educates you on how to maintain your cut so it still looks "fleek" when you go home and style it on your own! And isn't that the whole point!? I recently went with my mom who is elderly, mani pedi gel for a wedding event next day in New York. Let me tell you? Our pedis were amazing, our mani perfection and we enjoyed every minute. Sometimes you might have to wait a few minutes if they run behind. It's because they care and give every customer 5 star service. Patience is a GREAT VIRTUE. You will be glad you calmed down.

When I was finally sat in a chair for my nails the lady who put on my nail extensions put on way to much glue and the next lady had to acetone them off! this is not even the worst part I asked for a white acrylic French tip and they 1 did not use acrylic and 2 added a hot pink under base that looks awful!! these nails are for my prom and now they have ruined it.
