I have been here 6-8 times with varying results. They seem to give a barely decent mani/pedi. The polish stays on but the whole experience lacks attention to detail. I do think it depends heavily on who you get. They take short cuts, they don't do any ingrown toe remediation - just cut the sides off, which makes it worse in the long run. And do a half ass attempt at sloughing off dead skin. They will file your nails into odd shapes so be sure to be clear about how you like your nails shaped. I won't be going back. Update 8/19/17 - went back because my husband bought me a gc. Sunny has ruined my manicure 2x now. Last time she cut fingernails at a bizarre angle this time she cut them way too short. I don't think they sterilize their equipment. I have seen them go from person to person using the same cuticle cutters, etc without a single dip in sterilization fluid or even a once over in the oven. Kind of scary. read more

My absolute favorite nail salon!! A little too pricey to be my regular place, so I go on special occasions or extra pampering. I have never had a bad experience. They are very clean, very nice, and very good at what they do. I love drawing flowers on my toes and they have great artists! And who doesn't love the extra massage at the end when you wait for your nails to dry? I don't think the special spa pedicures are really worth the extra money or do anything particularly special (but I'm kinda cheap!). read more

After visiting Nail City off and on over the course of a year, it is without a doubt that I can say there are much better nail salons in the area. Most recently I needed a full set. What a mistake. They explained they don't do acrylics, that the silk wraps are better for natural nails. Great! However they do not use anything to create a natural looking nail, my nails were FLAT. Very unnatural and looked absolutely AWFUL. Once this was done, gel polish was applied. Due to the lack of a drill the filing and buffing took over an hour. She told me this set would last 2-3 weeks. NOPE. Less than a week and I've got two broken nails and countless chips. For the insane price of $85 dollars!!! Very disappointed. I provided many pictures of precisely what I desired and ended up with nothing even remotely close. When I pointed it out, I was told that is how they are. UM NO. Awful. Rude. Overpriced. read more

He was done and I was still just waiting for my pedicure. 45 minutes after arriving they finally started my pedicure while my boyfriend just sat in their lobby. I went to this place while I had an hour to kill in between doctor appointments. I just wanted a basic manicure. Chris talked me into the Infinity Shine nail polish bc it lasts longer (supposedly!) it was an extra $5 above and beyond the $15 basic manicure. My biggest gripe is that my nail polish never dried! It stayed tacky to the touch for hours! This is a sign of old polish. Grrrr! Everything was smudged and my polish had imprints on it! The cleanliness of this place was just ok. I wish I didn't have to write a bad review but my most recent visit to this establishment was my first time and also my last. The place is very clean and my technician did a good job which is the reason I rate this 2 stars instead of 1. They have a good selection of polish and colors and I appreciated how clean it was- this being very important when pampering your nails and skin. What I didn't appreciate was the lack of honesty and integrity of the ladies running the salon. And for these reasons they will never receive my business again and I would not recommend to any of my girl friends. What happened: I called ahead for a full set of acrylics and when I arrived I was sticker shocked that a full set of acrylics were $45! Any other nail salon averages $30-$40 max. I was without a car since I was simply trying to pass time while getting my tires changed so I sat down and swallowed the amount of $45. As the lady started doing my nails she began putting on a silk type of paper instead of the usual plastic tip and powder. I was very confused and asked her about this process and if I am getting acrylics and not gel or anything other than. I had asked her if this was their way of doing acrylics she said yes and if they had the regular acrylic tips and she said no. So I sat and watched this new technique of nail she was doing and was now fine with the $45 as this is different and "more natural" looking she said than how other salons do the acrylic tips. When she finished she asked I pay before she polished- fine- but gave me a total of $60! For a full set of acrylics or whatever the hell type of nail they call it?! I called and asked for acrylics and the sign said $45 and I asked many times in the chair if I was getting acrylics. So why $60?! Another lady who appeared to be the manager tried to justify why this nail they put on me was $60 and why it was much better than what I would normally do and then admitted that they in fact did do the regular plastic tip acrylics after I had already asked them several times before. That was enough to piss me off considering I was hesitant about even spending $45 on fake nails. This place is a- ridiculously overpriced and b- dishonest and deceitful. I would have gotten the same type of nails, how I normally do them, for half the price at any other regular salon and this is why they will never again get my business. read more

They have a hot stone massage during the pedicure. I've never been to a place that offered that! It was amazing, and fairly reasonably priced for what you get-- $45 for a mani/pedi. It is a small but popular place, so I had to wait a bit for them to do my nails, but it was worth it. Just don't wear skinny jeans when you go because you need to be able to roll your pants up to your knees for the pedicure. I didn't plan that part well. My manicure lasted almost a week, though it started chipping after about 3 days. That's pretty typical for me. My pedicure still looks great a week and a half later. read more

I got a pedicure for my niece and myself. The women were great- they did such a great job (I hadn't had a pedicure in at least a year) and were so nice and personable. Unsanitary at best. Shocked to see a drying rack in front of the store with towels drying but was not sure what was going on. Soon found out when you sit in the chair they get a dirty towel that is drying outside but not washed. They have you put your feet on the dirty used towel and then when you are done they clean the bowl and floor and then put it back out to dry. They dont use any cleaner and dont clean the equipment they use. This all seems gross and a health violation. Never again read more

Everybody here was so friendly and nice. The prices are very reasonable. I'm surprised to hear about others complaining about prices because it's comparable to any other nail salon in the area. The pedicures also include a hot stone massage on calves and feet and a small shoulder massage afterwards while your nails are drying. It is very clean inside and there is plenty of parking. I had not treated myself to a pedicure in a very long time. This has been my nail spa of choice over many years. I had some concerns after reading some of the negative reviews. Had my favorite place changed? I stopped in one recent afternoon to a full parking lot. Walking in, the salon was full. I was greeted and asked if I had an appointment. I did not. The told me to pick my color and they would be with me soon. Within a few moments, they began running water in one of the two remaining empty chairs. They called me over and my experience began. My technician was great. My pedicure was as wonderful as it had always been. Next stop the manicurist table. I don't normally get manicures since I have short, dry and brittle nails from years of abuse by me. They have been growing the past week or so, and I wanted to encourage continued growth. I am very pleased with both services and will return. Everyone was very courteous and friendly the entire time I was there. Someone else complained about the price. Worst manicure and pedicure I've ever gotten. The woman, Sarah, was terrible. It felt like she was attacking me while she was trying to cut my cuticles and when I told her it hurt she rolled her eyes and sighed and kept going. My manicure looks terrible, the nails are not evenly cut and she left dirt under and around the nails. She was incredibly rude to me the entire time. if you are not white, or look poor (yes i said that) don't waste your time going here. i wanted a rebase so i went in during my lunch. not only did the workers make me feel uncomfortable but so did the customers getting serviced. i was stared at, the entire time i was there. one lady told me that they didn't do rebase there, so i said "thats fine i would like a full set" she looked shocked and immidiatley asked me if i was sure because it was $45.oo. she repeated the price to me a total of 3 times. i said that was fine (because i do have a job, and i did have $45.00 to pay for my nails). i was then ignored for about 2 minutes, so proceeded to sit down and wait. the same lady says "oh so you do want to do it?" i mean...h e l l o ! if i took time out of my lunch (my brak from work) to go to your salon, and pay y o u r salon for service, why not treat me with some respect? its not like your paying me, in order to get my nails done. i can't believe you treated me this way, but i have faith that karma will take its course. you lost a customer who might be of a different race, a different skin color, but in fact did have money to pay for your services, and would have written a positive review as opposed to this negative one. i would have given this salon 0 stars but yelp does not offer this option. read more

I have been a dedicated repeat customer of Nail City since they opened. I get simple manicures and pedicures only, usually without color. Most nail salons are polite but distant to me because I don't spend a lot of money each time I visit. The ladies here are super welcoming and always treat me like their favorite customer. Every one says hi when I come in, and good bye when I leave. They always give me an excellent manicure with the works, finishing with a heavenly shoulder massage. The pedicures are equally fantastic. The water is warm but not scalding, they really take care of my ugly nails, and the pedicure includes a wonderful hot stone massage. You can make an appointment if you want, but walk-ins are always welcome. I rarely have to wait. Sometimes Saturday and Sunday are busy, but go at 9:30 am and you will always get in immediately. read more
