Absolutely insane that I'm writing this as I'm still processing the experience and am the literal last person to be negative about any service. Recently I started acrylics again after a yearlong hiatus to strengthen my nails. I used to get acrylics regularly every 3 weeks, and I can say in all confidence that I have never in my life had a more traumatic experience at a salon. Three weeks ago, I had a wonderful experience here, so I recommended a friend and I go back so I could get a fill. Yesterday, after my friend's appointment had already started, I waited for someone in the chair for 25 mins (longer than expected but I'm always patient and didn't mind). Finally I was happy to see that the nail tech who did my manicure prior would also be doing my nails this time. I told her how I loved the ones I had, and I was looking to get something similar. She began filing them, which I thought was odd because they had not soaked yet to be removed and were very clearly still attached to my nails except my my thumb, which I told her had peeled up slightly. However, within a few seconds, the tech grabbed pliers and ripped the fake nail entirely off. I was stunned with shock and the actual pain, and visibly pulled my hands back instantly. When I explained that that her, she continued cutting and peeling the nails with the pliers. I began crying, and told her I was in a lot of pain and needed to soak them. Immediately she was defensive and blamed me for not notifying her that I wanted them soaked. I don't know much about nails--hence why I get them done--but I have plenty of previous experience to know what she did was just wrong. Especially when I both react in pain and actually tell her. I asked her to just please only soak them, because I was no longer interested in continuing the appointment--mostly because my fingers we throbbing and felt far too damaged for additional acrylics. After arguing with me that the soaking method would take longer and us both clearly being frustrated, she walked away and I sat there until another tech brought the materials to soak them 15 mins later. The most bizarre treatment came from my friend's nail tech surprisingly, who told her that I must just be uncomfortable with that specific nail tech (?) doing my nails, and I was acting irrational. He also blamed the person who did them before, which was entirely ironic because it was literally the same lady. When my friend addressed his comments and that in fact I was in pain from the tech's own wrongdoing and continued with the painful removal until I forcibly said to stop, he also left and could clearly be heard talking with my first nail tech in the back of the store. After my nails soaked for an incredibly long time, another nail tech who previously tried to mediate the situation apologized, soaked and filed them off, and offered to do the nails I initially wanted to have done. Though I probably should have just left, after some convincing I obliged because it was too late to get an appointment elsewhere and unluckily wanted them done for a specific upcoming event 2 days later. He was really understanding of the situation and gentle with the damaged nails, and after more than 2.5 hours I got the intended result. I can't believe I paid full price now, but I was really just drained and wanted to leave without any other problems. Very long story short, go at your own risk. I am so disappointed because I specifically recommended the salon previously and thought I had finally found the one I'd continue going to, but the situation was honestly more than frustrating, uncomfortable, and straight up demoralizing. Between the blatant gossiping and the actual pain and damage to my nails, I have never been made to feel worse by a business. read more

If not for the fact that they do provide a great service (once they actually get around to providing that service) this would be way lower. We came to their "new" location (on Winchester Avenue) back in March and did not have an appointment. They took the people who had appointments first (fairly, of course) and then proceeded to us. When we went again this past weekend, we made an appointment, and they took people who had no appointments before us. It seems that there's no right way to get seated and taken care of. We waited for 30 minutes and watched them take people who had no appointment before finally deciding to leave. When I went to cross our names out, one of the ladies said they were "getting some seats ready" for us (they were not). I pointed out that we made an appointment and got a brush off "oh, okay." The only saving grace of this place is they do good work. But honestly, after the last two experiences (getting there early and people with appointments getting helped before us, then making an appointment and seeing walk-ins get helped before us) I'm going to be looking for another place. read more

Someone referred me to this spot while I was at a restaurant weeks ago. I was very optimistic. When I walked in EVERYONE looked at me no one spoke A WORD. I awkwardly asked if I could get a pedicure. Someone said "sign in" didn't even look at me. This is by far the rudest salon I've ever been to. Obviously only cater to a certain crowd. Just put a sign on the door if you don't want yo service people. read more

I visited this location to see if they could do ombre nails and because "Kim" comes strongly recommended from the locals. If you want a nice manicure you can make an appointment with Kim. However, she got an attitude with me when I was asking questions about their options and told me that ombre was above her skill set and the colors would not blend well. I got the impression that she didn't want to do my nails so I just left. A few months later I needed a pedicure so decided to give this place another chance. They ended up not giving me a pedicure or even trimming my cuticles back before painting my toenails. Not only did they leave polish on the outside of my nails, they left acetone all over my feet so they were white the entire day. Now, I'm going to need to go somewhere else to pay to have a second manicure to fix this one. I would not recommend this place. read more

Fantastic nail techs all around. I've had mine done by all of the techs and they are all equally amazing. I come in with challenging designs and they 'nail' it every time! Sometimes you'll have to wait a bit because they're very busy, but it's worth the wait. Highly recommended! read more

Went here for the first time last week. My friend and I both had appointments for a manicure and pedicure. We watched as people continually were taken and finished before we were. We kept getting told they would be right with us and then they would sit down with someone else. In the end, our manicure and pedicure took 3 hours from the time we arrived until we left. I was also cut three times when my nails were getting drilled. Will not return! read more

I am so extremely disappointed with the service i received yesterday. the lady that did my nails was bouncing back and forth between me and another client. when she first started, she used the dremel tool, and ran it way down in my cuticles. she cut almost every single one of my fingers with that. all of my cuticles are swollen, still bleeding the day after, and are now becoming infected. on another note, the cleanliness was beyond disappointing. there were nails all over the floor, they didn't sanitize between customers. the area where they did my nails was absolutely filthy. it looked like they hadn't swept in over a month. god help me if my fingers get any more infected. and of course when i called to speak to the owner, he wasn't there and i got hung up on. i will NEVER go back here again. waste of my time and money read more

Completely disappointed! I scheduled an appt at 10am for a dip manicure and regular pedicure. They started me off with the pedicure and left me sitting to soak for 45 min. Only took them 15 to complete the pedicure. Set me up at a nail station for 30 min. Continued being told they would get to me in a few min. And hour went by before moving me to another chair where I waiting again for 30 more min. Once I asked for the 3rd time how much longer they started on my nails. They spend 15 min looking for the color I chose and couldn't find it so I said I'll just to a gel manicure. This took 15 min!! The nail polish was bubbly and sticky. I went up to the counter to pay which I again had to wait!! I didn't leave the nail salon until 2:30!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. EVER!! Save your money and go where your time is appreciated and these services can actually be enjoying. read more
