The first thing I noticed was the VERY strong smell of stale cigarette smoke. I don't remember what this place used to be before it was a nail salon, but the stale smoke smell didn't leave during the remodel. After my appointment I got home and had to change my clothes because they smelled like stale smoke. I was happy with the service provided but I probably won't go back because of the smell. If they're ever able to figure out how to fix that, I would consider going back because I was happy with the service.

During removal of remaining gel product, the technician repeatedly used the drill to grind away the leftover gel rather than soaking and dissolving it. As he continued, the drill became increasingly hot and began burning my nail area. I told him the drill was becoming too hot and hurting me. Instead of stopping, checking my nail, or adjusting his technique, he dismissed my concern and stated, "It's not even powerful," then continued drilling. The process continued despite my complaints, and there were multiple instances where the drill came into contact with my skin. The experience was painful, careless, and completely lacking in sensitivity to what I was saying. Because of how I was treated, I made the decision not to continue with the manicure or wax service. When I went to the front desk and explained that I would not be moving forward because of the technician's treatment and behavior, the technician came to the front and loudly asked, "So you're not getting the wax?" After I said no, he proceeded to curse at me in Mandarin. What is unfortunate is that there seemed to be an assumption that no one would understand what was being said. Some people do understand Mandarin. I did. The comments were inappropriate, disrespectful, and entirely unprofessional. I chose not to argue, raise my voice, or create a scene because I refuse to respond to disrespect with more disrespect. I simply left. What concerns me most is not only the verbal treatment afterward, but the fact that a customer expressed pain during a service and was ignored. My finger is still hurting from the excessive use of the drill, and I am monitoring the situation closely. After years of supporting this business, this experience ended that relationship for me. I will not be returning, and I strongly encourage management to address both customer treatment and service practices before someone else has a similar experience.

They are smaller, but I think that's why I like them more. They are attentive, availability is reasonable! I've sat in the chair and watched them efficiently take care of everyone that came in. I absolutely love how friendly and attentive all the technicians are. They will carry conversation with a smile the entire time and make you laugh even. It's my fav place to go to unwind bc the employees have always made me feel comfortable. I'm always greeted with a hello, every single time. I walked in and noticed the cleanliness. The smell didn't bother my sinuses like others do bc remember it's smaller, not too much at one time. They are SO kind even have a candy dish with unique Vietnamese candies to try. I don't feel like my service is rushed like some express places. Most importantly, my dignity has always been a priority to them. I don't have the prettiest feet, but my nail tech makes me feel a million bucks. I love all of the ladies bc of how they make me feel when I visit and it's like a 2nd home. I made a follow up appointment from my first visit. I'm VERY particular about making appointments - I'm punctual and I expect the business to be, too. I arrived 10-minutes early, knowing I would have to soak my nails. I waited, and waited. Half hour later I was asked to sit at a table and they would be with me shortly to soak my nails. I politely declined and let them know that I made an appointment for a reason and I couldn't accommodate the significant delay. They apologized profusely but they'll have to figure out how to better manage the walk-in traffic vs committed appointments. I bought the Groupon for the haircut and partial highlights. When I got there Angela was finishing up some formal styles but got me in at the time that I made my appointment for. We talked about what I wanted to do -- even more surprising, she understood what I wanted! I'm so used to stylists not caring or understanding what I want to do with my hair. She got my foils in and let me hang out while she did some other haircuts. I watched her with kids and was amazed. She did a great job even though the kids were squirming the whole time! After we got my foils out she started on my hair. I do have short hair, but want to grow it out. She did a great job trimming and making sure that nothing was uneven, then she talked to me about what she plans to do next time I come back so we can make sure my hair grows naturally and doesn't look like a helmet of hair. Overall I was pleased with the service. The other reviewers are right -- this place isn't much on the outside but it is very spacious inside. No one will ever cut your hair like Doug. He doesn't just cut your hair, he molds it to your face. He has good insight on what is currently trendy and stylish with both men and women's hairstyles. If you decide to get a full hair shampoo and wash, cut, and style, you will be more than satisfied with the job he has done. However, you might walk out of there thinking, "It doesn't look as good as I thought it would..." To that I say, give it a couple days.
