The nails looked nice, but after they were removed they ruined my natural nails!!! THEY USE MMA BEWARE!! They file your nails too much, and use MMA which will severely damage your nails!! They also weren't very sanitary, work stations were dirty. And they weren't wearing masks over there nose. They were also touching the masks and smoking near the store. read more

Honestly I'm not quite sure their sanitation is up to par. As a cosmetologist I've been put through the basic sanitation procedures of pedicures and manicures. The last few two times I've come in for a pedicure it looks as tho they use the same file over and over again without disposal ( the one they used on me looked like it's been used on at least five other people) the other tools are just put in a cup how do I know those have been sanitized after each use? Applying nail polish I will say is great! They do many coats to make sure it's the proper color and result you would like but will say they use their fingers rather then a orange stick to clean up any polish while not wearing gloves.... read more

Let me start off by saying I came to this place with an open mind despite what people have said. My tech was John and off the bat this guys... THIS guy was talking a big game. "That he's the best, I'll do your nails better then any one has ever done before, I'll do it better bc it's me that doing it". At the time, I laughed because of how ridiculously he kept hyping himself up. He had finished and yes my nail looked good at the time but still not the best but good. 3 days later my nails started to lift from the tip and I went back and all they did was put glue and file my nails down. "All good" is what they said.. umm I think not. I will never come back to get my nails done. 2nd time I went was to get just eyebrows they said 5-10 mins, I waited 20 mins. During the time they never acknowledged me. The owners wife said ready and not a word after that. Took me to the waxing room I laid down and still no word from her. She finished and handed me the mirror and she opened the door ans still nothing. I paid and all she said was thanks. Horrible customer service. Word of advice Don't talk a big game if you can't deliver good service or know how to treat potential future clients. read more

I wrote one other review where i was very pleased but this time not so much and it may be my last time going in I asked for a short square-oval type shape and the length was fine but the shape wasn't what i wanted, I brought it up and the man doing them (i don't know his name) told me he will file it to shape... he filed it and it still was not right (i even had a reference picture) so i brought it up again and he told me it will be fine with nail polish and i said no the shape is not right and he ignore me, so now the paint comes around and a women does them, I planned on doing french tip all different colors but was told it's extra money for EACH color after i chose every color, i wasn't aware because i've had multiple colors and it was never extra charge but prices changes and that's okay so i settled for one color, the lady did a fine job painting my nails but when i went to checkout i felt over charged for only 1 color on french tips :((( and i'm disappointed of how many times i brought up how the shape was not right and it wasn't ever fixed, I live 35 minutes away so i drive allll the way there hoping they would at least listen to me When i finished paying i noticed many more mistakes like how none of them are straight and most of them are many different lengths, i work really hard for my money to not only drive to get my nails done but also pay for them to be done and i'm so sad with the outcome read more

I have come to Master Nails for the past 2 1/2 years and have been all over Oak Harbor, and Master Nails is the friendliest and cleanest nail salon in town. They clean out each station and use liners, and offer beverages. I have had waxing done in the salon and they were very professional. They have taken great care of my nails and my feet. Was in town visiting my sister and we stopped in for gel manicures and pedicures. The lady that did mine was very unfriendly, cut me twice and was clearly in a hurry and didn't want to be there. Can't believe within 1 week 3 of my fingernails with gel chipped and within a week and a half all started lifting and the shellac was completely removed. Total waste of money and time, especially since we could have easily gone to the next salon down the street. read more

I got a mani pedi and the manicure was really bad. My cuticles are messy and the lady scratched up my nail even though I didn't want polish. Even after getting a clear coat it was dull and scratched. The pedicure was subpar for a deluxe pedicure and they didn't cut a large piece of hanging callous. My callouses were barely touched and my heels are still rough. When susan did my ingrown toenail she dropped one of the tools on the ground on accident and wasn't going to clean it until I said something. When I complained to John about the hanging skin on my foot and he asked how everything else was I told him all my complaints about my manicure and specifically the messy cuticles and roughness of my nail he told me I complain too much and started yelling at me. He told me to ask all the other clients if my nails looked good and so I did and obviously everyone was very uncomfortable with that and didn't want to be involved. I told him I didn't want to pay for such a bad manicure since he went out of his way to humiliate me. Then he threatened to call the cops so I told him to. My mother insisted on paying for it since she didn't want me to get arrested. I even told him they did a good job on other things and he yelled at me the whole time. I wanted to block them with the Navy but my husband informed me that's not how it works so I do apologize for that. However, they berated me and humiliated me in front of the whole place so do not come here if you have any standards. read more

Went sat for over an hour of my appointment time.... took over 30 to start my pedi and then she rushed thru it and it was finished in under 8 mins because they over book everytime and she had to rush to finish other people.. at that point I have been here for over an hour and half. If I go other places I'm done in 45 mins or a little over. Again it's because they over book and need to tell people there just isn't time. I had barley any gel left on my nails for they were 3 weeks over due and these people made me pay 15$ for a "mani" which all she did was take the polish off and clip my nails.. Worst pedicure I ever had. Do not come to this nail salon. First off, he didn't even perform half the services in my pedicure. He removed my old nail polish, applied lotion to my calf and started painting my toe nails. I asked him to trim my toe nails and shape. I wanted my cuticles removed but no, didn't happen. I went in for a full set of nails with a picture design to go with and also to get a color change on my toes. Full set $50 on their board (gel or not, Idk) and for design was not told how much, moving on to my color change on my toes $15 on their board (gel or not, idk) they went to gel polish on my toes without asking and I'm sure this cost was more than $15 dollars. I showed John the design I wanted, he said he could do it but will make it look better, (hmmm I thought). That was not the case. I'm not that kind of person to say anything, I barely understand what their saying anyways. All in all for a full set of gel nails with design plus gel color change on my toes, total for this service shocked me in the end. I paid $110.00 total. My jaw dropped!! It was not worth it, considering the amount of time I sat there for about 4hrs because I was pushed aside so they can move between customers. I paid my $110.00 bill and walked out! I did not want to argue or spend anymore time there, I was done. Afterwards my friends n family wanted to see my nails, I was so embarrassed to show and tell them how much I paid. First off I will say the positives of this place, the atmosphere is great for the most part, they are very nice and do care about how your nails look and that you're satisfied with your color and shape. That that being said if you're paying full price for the nails and feet then you should feel like you're a priority to them during that period of time it takes to get them done. They need to work on that because they kept leaving me and my friend to work on other people before finishing on us (and we did make an appointment the day before). Sat there with the wax on my feet and a mask with a cold towel for 15 minutes waiting for them to come back. I do understand they took on more people than they should have but that's really not okay unless you're offering lower prices for getting half assed work. They were constantly rushing each other to get more people in and it showed in the quality of the work they did near the end. Also we kept asking for dip powder which they advertise on their front door and they insisted on doing acrylics instead. So basically they said no we're doing this you'll love it more and did what they wanted. Overall I don't think they're bad but they are so invested in upselling and taking on new customers that the ones on the floor don't get exactly what they want if it's not what they want to sell you and don't get the quality service and amount of time to actually do that. Took my mom here for her first manicure ever. The wait for a tech was over 30 minutes. Would have been longer had the two ladies before us not walked out because it was taking to long. My moms gel set was decent but my gel set was terribly done. They didn't even lay a towel down for my hands, just had them on the cold marble. The gal was hardly paying attention to the work. Each one of them a poor experience in their own unique way but to avoid going into detail I will just tell you that I have always felt my time there was rushed even if there was no one else there. They have skipped steps that I have paid for (in a package) & then charged me for it. They are very rough in the process, burning me & scraping me & cutting me all for an anticlimactic reveal at the end. I have just never left feeling extremely happy with my service. I could paint my nails at home but when I chose to spend my hard earned money on someone else to, I just expect better/more. My coworker and I came here on June 1st, 2018. It was national "Nail Polish Day" and we wanted to get mani's right after work. Unfortunately all the other salons were crazy busy and I thought of this spa. Luckily it wasn't busy and we got in right away. My nails were previously ruined at another place and I had to explain how to fix it. I was very happy with Lisa and that she was able to fix my nails. I did have to cut my nails all the way down because they became thin with the previous pile up of hard gel polish. Lisa was also very timely with the amount of gel she had to drill off my nails. I had an hour until I had an upcoming appointment so I'm pleased that everything was very fast but efficient. My cuticles weren't cut/pushed down the time prior at the other spa so she had a lot to clean up. Their spa is very nice and clean inside too. Way cleaner than Top and Happy nails. I will definitely be seeing Lisa again in the future. And it only cost $30! read more

The second time, however, I felt like the owners, (I am assuming the guy and the smaller lady) were having a bad day. The lady did my full set which literally took 20 mins. And the guy polished them for me. Once they were done I sat for a polish change on my toes and while I was getting that done the two were arguing in the back room. Not one of them spoke to me while I was getting my nails done. Also, I read an add that they served a beverage for free but that was never offered. My husband brought me here to get a full set done and I couldn't be anymore disappointed with the work done. They are full of small bubbles and have fingerprints all over the nails. Most of my nails have dents from not paying attention when using the nail file and uneven amounts of acrylic. It was my first time in this Salon and when regulars walked in my nails were rushed through and I was left alone several times without being advised if someone would be back to finish. Also never once was I asked for my name which alone is horrible customer service. I have had my nails done for two days now and they are already breaking and chipping.
