Came in for a pedicure ($27 plus tip) and found the whole experience to be meh. Hastily greeted at the front, the entire place was empty. The pedicure felt very rushed, my nails weren't cut evenly, and I didn't feel great about the sanitary conditions. I visited this salon and it is the reason why I do not wear acrylic nails any longer. I went there two times, thinking the first visit was maybe a fluke, and because as a reformed nail biter who'd had a relapse, (gross, I know!), decided to give them a second shot, well, because my hands were ratchet and I had a special event to attend. Anyway, I felt hurried, even though I arrived exactly at opening both visits, and was the ONLY FREAKING person there. Nail polish was old and thinned. (I know you know what I'm talking about.) Tools appeared to be used on other people- again, first.thing.in.the.morning. I chose that time for a reason. Didn't follow directions on shape or length. Sure, it's no overrated gel mani, but the experience in general was less than awesome. I kept the nails short, but I still popped them off after only 4 days, because the seams weren't filed correctly. I mean fingertip length. What?! I mean... Sometimes it's a new tech... So I even gave them the second try. Nope. Even with a pedi the second time, (my cuticles bled into the pedi tub, and I'm not sure how well they sanitize, lucky for you I'm clean), still just "meh" service, no atmosphere, no personality or anything that would invite me back. And if probably have been better off paying for Sally Hansen nail strips at CVS. Seriously. The best part about the experience was the hot Italian hoagie I got next door after for lunch. Empty so I didn't have to wait. My pedicure took 10 minutes which included the leg massage. Waste of my time and money.

I hadn't been here in years, but I decided to try them again. I was not impressed. To begin only one staff member spoke English, this made it hard to communicate a physical disability I have. The second thing I had an issue with was that the manicurist twisted my hand to fit in the dryer. She really hurt me and was unwilling to compromise and accommodate things for my disability. My next issue with this place is the length of time the polish lasted. On average, gel nails are supposed to last 2-3 weeks. This manicure lasted me one day!! The manicure began to peal the day after I got it. I was very unhappy. I will never gain use this salon. read more

I did review a few somewhat negative reviews and I wanted to say this nail salon is exactly what I'm looking for. They always do a beautiful job and are conscientious. I and three other family members go here regularly and they like the calm atmosphere also. I am an older woman who has been to many salons, I can say this is my favorite. They get the job done. This place has extremely bad customer service. Got a full set overlay done. The girl who did my nails cut me twice. She was so aggressive with my hands. Gave me a cut on my middle finger which started bleeding and a cut on my thumb with her sharp nails. I did not tip. As I was leaving there was no thank you or bye. Unbelievable. The people who work here looks absolutely miserable. Not to mention they are so loud. Talking across the room. Never experienced such low service in my life. I went here using a coupon. Big mistake. This salon is terrible. My nail dip powder chipped after 1 day. I called to explain what happened. I went in for a repair and was greeted by a very rude person. She complained about this to other employees, of course I couldn't understand what she was saying. If i could give ZERO stars, i would. I went in for a gel REFILL, when i walked in & realized i was the ONLY person there, i should've walked right back out. The woman not only had NO CLUE what she was doing, she misshaped my nails & cut me... more than once. She also went on to tell me that what i had on my nails was not just gel but there was "acrylic" i NEVER use acrylic on my nails, strictly gel only... she wouldn't listen & continued to do what she wanted to do. I have gone to this salon a few times and the experience is always awful and I will never return again. My fingers around the nails have cuts on them and black spots in the polish. I really only go to this salon when I have no other option. It's just okay, the staff is not very friendly and they tend to rush their work. I went there today and was told I could not dry my nails because they don't have a drying station at the moment. I asked if I could just sit for a few minutes to dry and they were not happy. How do you expect your clients to walk out with wet polish? This threw me off. A lot of good salons are closed on Monday's and I needed my nails done today (which was a Monday) so like I said I only go here when I am desperate. Don't really recommend. I see why they only have 2/5 stars. Also overpriced paid $65 for a regular pedicure and a CHILD pedicure. read more

This is my home base as far as nail salons go. I always make an appointment with Sue, and she is WONDERFUL. She is the ONLY manicurist I have ever had that can remove old acrylic without it being painful. After that, my favorite thing that she does is that when she glues tips on, she puts them right where the natural whites of your nails start anyway, so the tips are virtually invisible! She always makes my nails the perfect length, and I can't tell you how much I love her work. When my sister goes, she always has her toes done by Yao Min (the only guy there), and he does a wonderful job, but I've had pedicures as well by other people there, and have never had any complaints. read more

First walking in, the salon seems clean and well kept, but after getting my pedicure I couldn't help but notice they don't clean the foot baths after each customer. Got a pedicure, walked in no problem, the place was empty. I was glad because I was last minute but it should've told me something. The people were not friendly, the nail polish did not look fresh (ANY of them). The pedicure was rushed- cold water, towels with holes, no attention to heels or cuticles other than lotion, massage was zero pressure, and the polish on my big toes LOOKS clumpy. They walked me to the dryer, which, while she switched it "on" wasn't lit or warm, so I think it's broken. There are many things I can say about this place but I'll focus on the most important. The technician I had was horrible to say the least. The polish is uneven on my nails and the edging is not perfect like it should be. The technician also asked me for a tip before I was ready to give it. This was probably the worst nail experience I've ever had. I came here with a friend for some girl time pedicures and felt terrible to expose her to such an awful experience. It was her first pedi (she's a mani kind of girl) and the girl that worked on her couldn't have been more rude, rushed or ungentle. The guy that did my nails, didn't remove half my nail polish (blue) before applying my new one (light pink). Obviously that looked like crap! The place is old looking and their idea of "cleaning" the pedi bowl was to spray it with water. I don't even think they rinse their tools at all. They rushed my friend out of her pedi station to the drying station even though 4 other pedi stations were empty and she could have stayed to chat with me (her lady finished her a good 10 minutes before mine was done yet we started at the same time). After seating us to dry and taking our money, no one even bothered to look at us. After about 25 minutes we just let ourselves out. We went straight to the Rite Aid around the corner and bought a bottle of Tinactin and sprayed the hell out of our toes in hope of not getting some nasty infection. I normally only write reviews if positive, but my experience was so lousy and we have choices...next time I'd make a different one! The woman who did my nails did not speak a word of English. She made no effort to try to communicate. I got a mediocre pedicure while my fingers soaked to remove a gel manicure from a salon. After I soaked she was ready to move on to the manicure. The polish was still on. She didn't know what to do, or how to remove it. and had I not complained to someone else she would have proceeded. I really didn't want her to do much b/c it was clear she had no experience, so I had her only buff my nails. I couldn't wait to get out of Nail Perfection. My nails were so rough and there was nail polish left over on my skin around the nail beds. Once again I found a manager/owner and he tried to explain to the woman what to do. He ended up finishing the manicure b/c he clearly had someone working for him that was inexperienced. They asked for extra money to soak the gel off, which was surprising and a first since I was having another manicure. If it's the last place to go, I'd skip the mani/pedi. There are choices in Newtown and surrounding areas...you're better off somewhere else! read more

I've been going to this nail salon for at least 10 years. I've never had a bad experience. Their polish manicures and pedicures last forever, as do their gel manicures. It's clean and comfortable. The woman at the counter was so incredibly rude and would not give me a direct answer on prices when i asked.(my normal salon charges 20 for acrylic refill and i get gel polish for no charge) i nearly lost my mind when i was handed a bill for 39$!!! The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Walk-ins welcome? I don't think so. I didn't have an appointment and I walked in at a not busy time. I waited about 5 minutes then someone took me back for my manicure. She began drilling and filing my nails down. Then a couple came in (also without a manicure) without saying anything to me, the woman doing my nails took the couple back and began doing their pedicure. I say there for about ten minutes and no one explained to me what was going on. I then walked back to ask the woman if she was done with my nails. She said someone else would be with me but every one else was in the middle of another customers manicure and would easily be another 20 minutes to get to me. It would have been one thing if te woman explained to me what was going on. Nt only did she never do that but once I said this was ridiculously rude service and I would not wait, I did not even get an apology. I'm appalled at this business.
