I am a regular there and I came in today to get a gel manicure and while I was waiting the nail tech came and greeted me and the thought she was really sweet. She started with cleaning my nails and after she used the nail clipper for the cuticles and she was not gentle at all. She made me bleed from my finger and didn't take care of it or wipe it with alcohol. She painted my nails really messy. The color was all around my nails and hands and the clear gel color was messy as well. They still had the audacity to still charge me after a horrible job. Never coming back here. Super disappointed. I don't know what happen to this place. They use to have really good nail technicians. The ones they have now should get more training.

I've been coming here for 16 years, but the service has declined so much it's unrecognizable. All I asked for was a simple French tip on medium-length nails and a basic pedicure with a French tip--nothing complicated. Instead, it turned into a three-hour ordeal filled with back-and-forth corrections, unprofessional behavior, and unfinished work. I had to micromanage every step just to avoid leaving with completely botched nails. When I politely asked the tech to fix acrylic that was overlapping my nail bed, he got defensive, said he wouldn't finish, and gave me a sloppy, uneven French tip on purpose. The next tech doing my pedicure couldn't shape evenly--one toe was noticeably longer--and seemed irritated anytime I asked for a fix. Meanwhile, the salon was full of chaos: staff arguing, clients screaming, and drama being stirred between customers. I left with unfinished nails and feet. It's sad to say, but this is no longer the place it once was.

Amazing family and great service! This place has done nothing but been amazing towards me and treated me with respect and love! I absolutely recommend this place!

This place never fails me. Friendly, fast, and beautiful work with lots of colors to chose from :) everyone's always super sweet to me.

I went in for a regular manicure yesterday. How is it that today my nails look like this? My nails aren't even similar. They're cut differently and horrible. I was expecting better service and I should have gone elsewhere but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and I was proven wrong. Thanks Tina.

Enjoyed the service here ! I went on a Thursday afternoon. I had two broken nails from another nail shop that I went to and they were able to accommodate me as a walk in customer. The woman who did my nails nailed it!

I'm fairly new to the gel ex nail game, and this has become my favourite place to go! The first time I went - I can't remember who my tech was - they admittedly used an excess of gel underneath the extensions, which then burned the heck out of my fingers. However, I went again about three weeks later, mostly to get them removed. After noticing that the tech I had that visit - Tony - was significantly gentler, I decided to try getting the gel ex service one more time. He did a wonderful job, making sure that everything looked smooth and clean. I came back today for my second set by him and got what I've attached in the photos. Again, Tony was great! I'd highly recommend going here. As for the nails themselves, they are quite sturdy - I took too long getting an older set removed and nearly ripped my nail up, yikes - and light. The only complaint I have that has been a recurring issue is how little polish is sometimes applied to the entire nail. When I got a nude set, they appeared gradient in low light, but it became clear in good lighting that there was not enough polish towards the tips of my nails. Otherwise, they have always looked and felt wonderful! As for prices, when I get gel extensions, my total is $50.00. Adding a removal service prior is only an additional $5.00. Today, I got a fill, and my total came out to $45.00. Do with this info as you will. Considering my natural nails have the structural integrity of playing cards, I opt to keep mine professionally done.

Don't go to this place . The service is horrendous! & staff is rude & unprofessional, I went for a pedicure & manicure and was extremely upset w/ the outcome. I told the " manager " multiple times about how ugly they left my nails & he wasn't willing to fix it , he just wanted to ring me up asap ! Tbh this place wasn't worth my money due to the unsatisfactory work . Save your money & your time , & choose another nail spot . Really overpriced for shitty nails. read more

I've been coming here for about 8 years now and have always been satisfied. The prices are reasonable for their service. They recently expanded so there is hardly any wait time. Get ready to wait no matter what day of week it is. Making an appointment means nothing to them. Had an appointment and still had to wait an hour. Someone walked in to get their two broken nails in the middle of getting my nails. They put me on hold to do the other person nails. They like to pause and talk a lot. My new spot! I love the way they do nails and the shop it self! It was my third visit last night getting a new set and a pedi, I like my toes and I love my hands. This place is awesome! I started going there when a friend of mine referred me there. When I leave there after my mani/pedi, I always feel refreshed. I love that they are particular about the work they do because I don't have complaints afterwards and I don't have to go home and "finish up" like I have had to when I have gone other places. Also, they keep everything nice and clean which is important to me because when I go to a nail place I want to feel like the only feet and hands that have been there are my own. Another plus, their prices are great. I have gone to other nail places and paid double for less than mediocre work so I usually ended up searching for a spot that did good work but cost even more (I don't mind paying for good work) but now, at The Nail Place I don't have to compromise or get ripped off...I get a great job for half of what I used to pay! Kathy and Vincent are so nice; Kathy even remembered my name the second time I went there. Definitely go to The Nail Place! read more

Reasonable prices if you're looking for a cheap place. Only $23 for a mani/pedi. However, if I ever come back, ill probably ask for the owners. The girl who did my nails (i think her name was Lisa) was a tad rough when it came to cutting my cuticles & made me bleed not only once, but twice. She also didn't cut my nails evenly. read more

My nails look alright, what I'm concerned about was the dirty tools used on my nails. The cuticle cutter used still had someone else's cuticles on them I also thought it was strange that they charged $3 to remove the gel already on my nails from a previous manicure... the gentleman doing my nails literally poured acetone in a bowl and left me there for 20 minutes to soak it off so it didn't seem like $3 worth of work/product used to remove the gel. read more

Worst full set job ever . The guy made them super uneven and almost curving upward and when I told him about it he said "u should've told me exactly how to place the nail and acrylic" , when he's the manicurist ! & to top all the crap he starts yanking my nails off with a cuticle cutter which was so painful I had to make him stop. I went in for a simple nail repair I JUST got my nails done and they shouldn't be breaking I paid extra for a "special" acrylic that is SUPPOSE to last longer well I go in and NO ONE is in line some lady walks in "on her lunch break" so she needs to hurry.... so instead of fixing my one nail in 15 mins I'm suppose to wait for a lady to get a fill NOT COOL AND IM A REGULAR well I was but no longer going here read more

I'm not picky when it comes to my pedis and most of the ladies here know what they're doing and they are all very sweet. However, when it comes to my gel manis or my full sets, I am super OCD and perfectionist. Vincent used to be my go to guy but he is always so busy with his appointments. I was beyond sad when I got in 1 hour and 10 minutes before they closed and they told me that they were closed! That they were full.. That never ever happened. Happy for their growth but very upset that I'm a loyal customer and couldn't take me when I was willing to wait the time. I've probably been to this nail place for 7+ years. For acrylic nails def wait for Vincent. Jenn does amazing manicures and pedis. Your feet feel extra clean. Although she's only there Friday-Sunday. My mom loves Vann for gel. You can also make appointments but they still make you wait. They have all the cool colors. Parking isn't so bad unless it's 11-12 when its lunch because there's a gulianos right next to it. read more

I stopped going to The Nail Shop in Carson because this is so much closer to home. But only 2 techs actually do an okay job. For 20 dollars, I had to catch all these MAJOR mistakes. I felt very disappointed the last few times. I'll ONLY sit at a chair if it's with Vincent or the girl Who sits in the first station on the left for now on. read more

Soooooo I was running all around town trying to find a nail shop that could accommodate me asap. I was trying to get my nails done before work and I was pressed for time. I seen some reviews on yelp about the nail place some negative and positive but I love to form my own opinions about an establishment so I didn't let that drive me away. When I walked in the gentleman was very welcoming and it wasn't a lot of people in there. I was seated at Kelly's station and let me tell you she works thoroughly and is very detailed. I love my nails and I will definitely be going back. There's many nail shops in L.A and its hard finding one thAt you like but I must say nail place is very good. The shop is clean and have 2 levels, an upstairs and downstairs. The color selections are endless and everyone was so polite and friendly. Kelly is amazing but if you don't get Kelly, I've heard Vincent is veerrry good as well. This hidden gem is in Gardena and well worth the detour, please check them out. read more

Love Vince! He's done my nails twice so far. One was a gel manicure and the second was a fill. He takes his time, even if he's busy, and they come out great! I would definitely make an appointment a day or two ahead of time because he does book up. They also do same day appointments. read more

Wellll... i never been to a nail salon before and i never had anyone touch my nail in my whole 34 years of existence haha.. so yes! basically i have a virgin nails lol this is goin to be my first ever. The moment i went inside i ask how much and don't even had a clue what i want to do with my nails, since i have a fragile nails i just ask for a gel polish with 2 design in each hand total cost $25 not bad, forgot to ask the guy's name who did my nails cause i was so nervous. To cut the story short i made it through the entire process I was satisfied with the service and planning to go back tomorrow for my moms pedicure. :):):). I had a lot of compliments. read more

I went in today as a walk-in , I waited for about 30 min until somebody attended me , but it was worth the wait. I've tried many places and they can never get my nails right , there will always be an excuse about how my fingers are crooked or they are to tiny for the acrylic , but here the lady had no excuses and got the job done she's so good ! And I was speaking with a lady about how she's been coming here for years and she only goes with the lady that attended me because she's actually good at everything ! I was beyond pleased! I just moved to the area from Las Vegas & had my own nail shop I had gone to for 5 years! So when my friend recommended this place I gave it a try, me and my BF both went in for pedicures. And I also got a full set! Kathy did my full set! She was amazing!! So friendly! Made me feel comfortable plus she is just amazing! And the best part?!!! She doesn't speak in her language to talk shit about me... lol she is just amazing! I absolutely LOVE this place . When it comes to my nails I am very very picky! Lisa Does my nails and she always does the most amazing job! I tell her how I would like them and she's does nothing less then what I ask. She's never pushy on extra stuff either. Major plus. The staff is so friendly. They pretty much know all their clients by name (including me) which makes you feel a little extra special. They also don't just sit there and make it all awkward. They converse with you the entire time. GREAT Customer service. Their prices are also reasonable , which is why they have so many clients. Trust me it's worth the wait, if there ever is any.! read more

Always my go to nail salon. I originally went there because they were the only salon that was open after I got off work and accepted walk ins/last minute appointments. I usually come in with a nail design that I have found on the internet and Vince has yet to disappoint me. He is so creative and talented. Kathy has done my nails once or twice and she is also very good. She is super friendly and is always asking me questions about my life. I was surprised by the 2nd time I went there they knew me by name and remembered where I worked from our conversation my previous visit 2 or 3 weeks before. So today, January 21, this lady has been doing my nails for about almost 2 years now since my first nail tech Frank is sick and has been sick for months and my previous nail tech as well, Liz moved to Florida. I needed someone that does designs and they said Lisa was the next best person so I decided to go with her. Today I came in for a polkadot French tip/refill and as she was doing my nails, her next appointment came in. She told the front desk to tell the lady that it will take her another 20 minutes because she still has to do the polkadot designs. This is at 12:10 PM. Mind you I came in at 11 to get started on my nails. Lisa then starts rushing on my nails messes up a FEW polkadots and uses the nail file and messed up another nail. She expected me to pay $100 of rushed work and walk away. She then started to call me names and say I'm very picky and that she doesn't want to do my nails anymore and that no one at the establishment wants to do my nails. I have been going there for over seven years. I've only had about two or three nail techs and they have all left the establishment. She is very rude and will do sloppy work when she is feeling rushed and will tell you that you are too picky. I save lives for a living and all you have to do is do my nails correctly and I'm picky? It's such an insult. Especially after giving these people hundreds /thousands of dollars over the years. I highly suggest you guys start reconsidering coming to this establishment because it has greatly changed over the years. The only person that I trust on the nail side is Natalie. She does amazing pedicures and she will always make sure that it is done to your liking. I'm actually grateful she banned me from her booking list because I don't have to deal with her nasty attitude anymore.

She repeatedly cut my cuticles with the drill, causing them to bleed, and attempted to remove my set using a nail tip before doing a soak-off. Because my nails were not lifting easily, my natural nail cracked and broke during the removal. What concerned me most was that my skin and natural nail were damaged to the point of bleeding, and the area underneath my nail became exposed. She then applied KDS nail glue to the area and continued with the service. The entire appointment felt rushed and careless. I left with bleeding cuticles, a broken natural nail, polish on my skin, and pain that lasted for days afterward. I paid $65 and was so unhappy with the result that I removed the design myself and cut my nails down shortly after. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I left disappointed with both the quality of the service and the condition of my nails. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon.

I understand a hustle but stop haggling me to spend another $10 for some scented water and lotion-- I'm good. They reuse the same nail files on everyone which is so disgusting. My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Vincent is THE man for acrylic, seriously! Every other salon i would go to my nails wouldn't sometimes even last a week let alone two. Vincents nails last longer than two weeks, no pop offs or anything. Always make an appointment with him because he does get busy, but you never wait long and always love the results.
