I have a 5 month old but needed my nails done. I was nervous to take my son because I didn't want to bother other customers if he got fussy. I planned my appointment around his nap. Well of course he didn't nap. He started to get fussy. The owner could tell I was struggling and asked if he could help and take the baby while I relax and get my nails done. I let him take my baby, and walked around with him, never leaving my sight. He entrained him and my son laughed and smiled the whole time. This is my first bad review that I have ever left on yelp. This place was so bad that I felt it was needed. I went here over the weekend last minute for a dip manicure. A lady named Michelle was my manicurist and she was awfully rude to me. She handled my hands with so much aggression and told me "no" multiple times when I asked for specific things. I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and at one point I had to use my free hand to reposition my baby because she was in my ribs making it uncomfortable to sit. Michelle told me to "stop moving". Towards the end she must have finally noticed my huge baby bump and said "oh, you have baby, I am so sorry", as if she knew she was being rude and rough with me. Like would she have treated me differently if she knew I was pregnant from the beginning...? On top of it, my nails looked horrible after. I will never go back here. read more

They accidentally put the callous remover on my cuticles and it ate away my skin and severely burned me. They said I was just allergic to the cuticle softener...no. I had my nails done there a few weeks ago and I was fine. It was definitely just an accident- the man used the wrong bottle, but wouldnt admit to it. =( . Anyway, people are looking at my cracked fingers in horror and it hurts to wash my hair because of the open wounds. After the man burned me he sat and played w his phone. No band aids, no nothing. And they *charged* me for the manicure. On top of all of that, my polish is chipped one day later. I normally would not even post a review in fear of hurting someone's business and livelihood, but this was just so awful and handled so terribly, that I feel like I have to alert people. read more

My fiancée and I came in for a mani pedi and suffice to say we had very different experiences. My nails were neatly trimmed and the cuticles look excellent. My fiancée on the other hand had her fingers and toes abused and had a lazy job done. The man insisted that he could not trim her nails better and when she called him out on it, he started being much rougher with her to the point that her cuticles started bleeding a little. After that, he did a terrible job with her nail polish. Another lady came and did the best she could to fix the disaster, which was acceptable given what she had to work with. My fiancée's nails are still so short 2 days later that it is hard for her to pick things up. To top things off, they wanted to refuse to take a Visa card as payment. Nowhere were we informed that they only take cash. And then it turned out that they did have a card reader. HUH!? We will not be coming back and I do not recommend going. read more

I've been here before and I've never had anything bad to say, but I won't be back. I went in for a fill, pink and white, not too difficult. It took about 1.5 hours and all of my nails are slanted or lopsided some how, and some even have space between the white and pink!! I know it was close to 6:00 p.m. and they were probably ready to go home. The man who did my nails obviously had no idea what he was doing. The man who did my sister's nails must not have known either. She asked for acrylics, he put the nail extensions on and PAINTED right on them! NASTY! Just took off my polish from a few weeks ago and voila.... AWFUL nail fungus! Disgusting! Came in for a quick polish change during my lunch break and they got me right in! They were fast, SUPER friendly and affordable! $9 for polish change, they cleaned up my nails too! Was in and out within 20 mins! I do have to say that the only con was that they didn't have many nail polish options, but that doesn't change the quality and service ... First time coming. I dont get my nails done on a regular basis so when I go I want a great experience. I went with my daughter who got acrylics. She said her experience was not as great because her nails were filed too long and it hurt a liitle ( a little over zealous - actually a little cut on her cuticle) but overall she was happy. I have been a patron for years. My last visit for a pedicure was less than positive. I was greeted promptly and escorted to a chair and the foot spa started. There were others also getting pedicures. I sat in the cool spa (not even tepid) water for over 1/2 hour. While waiting, the plastic bag lining insert in the spa was pulling away and getting stuck in the jet as well as sticking to my feet. I was assigned a male attendant whom I've seen there before but never had him do my pedicure. He was hurried, left my pedicure three times to check his cell phone in a drawer, he left in the middle of the pedicure to go to the cash register to complete a check out transaction, he left my pedicure to get someone a towel, and he left me sitting to start another pedicure and failed to help me with getting my sandals on, so I messed up one nail. He was rough, he didn't use the electric file to smooth ridges off my great toes, the nail polish I chose was too thick and he barely thinned it, he failed to remove all the polish on a couple nails before adding the new, he didn't put the cotton separating my toes, he kept using his fingernail to clean off polish around the nails. The floors were very dirty and their stools are worn out, cracked and damaged. The environment looks unkept and uncared for. I will not go back. read more

I received a gift certificate for this nail studio for a mani/pedi. I went in with my sister and asked if I could get a pedicure and she could get a manicure and showed him my GC. The man who spoke with us was very rude and told me it was not acceptable to use the GC for both of us but he would make an exception. He gave my sister her manicure and it was very shoddy work. It would've looked better if she had painted her nails herself. And there were times where he wasn't watching what he was doing with my sister's nails and cut her cuticle to make her bleed. My pedicure was mediocre at best. We were both 'done' with our servies in 20 mins. And, upon checkout, I was then informed that I needed to pay the extra $3 not included in my certificate since the services were done on 2 different people instead of just me. I was dumbfounded, but I paid the extra and included a couple bucks even for tip despite the rushed efforts, messily painted nails and rude service. A gift certificate brought me into this spa but I will not be returning. I wish I could give it less than one star. read more

Possibly the best manicure and pedicure I've ever had. They pay attention to detail. Ever hangnail is trimmed, the nails are buffed and filed to perfection. I had a manicure several weeks ago and the polish lasted beautifully. I had my second mani pedi here today and I'm very impressed. They're wonderful. I've beeing going here for the past few years. The quality has gone down a lot- mainly because they are getting a lot of clients these days. The owner rushes manicures and pedicures when she sees people waiting. They treated my grandma roughly because they were running out of time. They always seem to be in a rush, poking people and not paying attention to detail. I once made an appointment and they made me wait over 45 minutes because they took so many walk ins, they didnt have anyone available to work on me. They dont respect appointments at all. I keep trying this place for convenience(its right across the street from my house)...yet time and time again they let me down. Last time I went they charged me to take off my dip nails! I've never been charged to take off my nails. And I went 2 Saturdays ago (1.5 weeks)and my nails are already peeling and breaking! This place is great. It's clean. The price is reasonable and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a walk in pedicure. Dont waste your time. They are awful and messed up my acrylic nails. Fixable? Yes. Worth my money? Absolutely not. Never been so disappointed with my nails before. I paid for gels and THE NEXT DAY they started chipping off. I'm not a picker when I get gels at all, but my nails look like they have been picked at and are ready to just completely peel off. I called today to ask if I could get my eyebrows waxed and the owner, Michelle said that it was really busy but she could do it at 4:00. I thanked her but I couldn't come at 4. She immediately told me to come right then and she would take care of me. I arrived in the next 5 minutes (I live right up the street) and she asked me to wait a moment, which was fine with me. I could see that it was busy but she took me back within 5 minutes. She started to put on the wax and I felt like it was a little hotter than I am use to but I wasn't in pain(yet) so she continued. When she put on the wax next I screamed because that one was really hot! It really hurt, and I have a big threshold for pain. I told her that I knew she was busy but I didn't appreciate her rushing to get done with me. She immediately changed her tune and apologized. She was almost finished so she cooled off the wax with a little fan and said that it hurt me because I had a lot of hair. Right. I felt like she blamed me for her hurting me and rushing through. I wanted to warn everyone to not get waxed if this nail spa is busy. Michelle won't take good care of you and will do a half assed job at that. I had a nice little surface burn below my right eye brow. Thank goodness for aloe vera! Anyway... I'm not going to go back there. I hope this review was helpful to you. P.S. NEVER AGAIN! Never again will I be coming to this Nail Spa! Please be careful ladies!!! Today Was my first and also it will be my last time! I decided to go here because it was close by, also I wanted to give it a try. I went in to get my eyebrows wax. They took me in right away which was great, I didn't have to wait. As I laid down the lady began. She applied wax on one side of my eyebrows then she reached over for more wax, as she reached for more she dropped it on my eye! Yes my eye! That hot wax on my eye which got all over my eyelashes! Right away I got up! Trying not to open my right eye ( where she dropped the wax) all she would say was " I'm sorry I'm sorry" which she should of been helping me remove it. But no of course I had to say "help me give me something to take it out" all she gave me was a tissue ( like if that did anything) I got out of the room and I started walking out. Then the owner saw me leaving and asked what was wrong. I had told her what had happen. Then she told me she had something to remove the wax from my eyelashes. Which was good but why didn't the other lady know about this wax remover?.. The owner was able to remove the wax. But my eye was still really red and swollen.. and up to now I can't believe I had this experience! This has never ever happen to me! I still think the lady should of been more careful! But Thank god I still have my eyelashes! So please be careful and don't have the same experience I had! Because it really does hurt and up to know my eye is still swollen and still hurts! read more

I came here because my usual place was closed and my toes were sore. The pedicure itself was decent. I got a regular $18 but she did try to upswell the deluxe for $14 more. When she was done she asked if I wanted a manicure. I said no. She told me I needed one and mumbled something about my cuticles. I told her I know I need one but I'll do it at home. Then she left me sitting there. After a few minutes I realized she wasn't planning on coming back to put my sandals on my feet. (Every other place I have gone does this.) So I got up and put my own sandals on, gave her a smaller tip than my standard and waited for someone to take my card over at the counter. She came over but didn't seem to know how it worked. She got some help, I signed my slip and left. Doubtful I'll go back after her rudeness. One more thing: the lotion they used smelled a bit like perfume. I have been to this salon a few times now and have never been satisfied. They are extremely unorganized and tell you the wait is 5 minutes and they end up starting your pedicure 30 minutes later. I went along with my sister today and they had us wait 5 minutes to be seated in a chair. Once seated they started my sister immediately and started my pedicure 20 minutes later. This was a problem because we drove together. Then to make matters worse, during my pedicure she left to go clean another chair and then came back to me to continue my pedicure. My foot massage lasted only about 30 seconds which was also extremely disappointing. Then, after I had been there for well over an hour and she had finished with my manicure, she just left and never offered to help me with my sandals. I had to put them on myself and ended up smudging my nails. This was again, a terrible experience and I will not be coming back. read more

I've been coming to this nail salon for the last ten years. When I moved to Moorpark I tried a few different salons that had extremely long waits and did not do a good job with acrylics. Kenny has always done a wonderful job with my acrylics. Michelle has been very welcoming and kind over the years. She waxes my 12 year old daughters eyebrows and does a beautiful job. My pedicures I get will last me 4 weeks. If I've ever had a back experience with a pedicure the employee didn't last long. Michelle has always kept quality people at her salon. I went to this "salon" because my regular one (Milan) was closed. I walked right in which was great and picked my color. I asked to use the restroom and was directed to the back left. While the bathroom was clean, the kitchen area right outside was disgusting...but I didn't go there to eat so, no big deal. I sat in the chair and asked for a regular pedicure with callus remover. All went well until the callus removal. The technician started vigorously rubbing/scratching. It was ok for a bit but then she repeatedly scratched my insole. I told her that it hurt and she acknowledged that but then went back at it again. I pulled my foot away and told her to stop that it really hurt. She tried again and I didn't let her. She then did the same exact thing with the other foot and I had the same exact reaction. When I asked her why she was doing that she said that my feet really really cracked (they weren't) and that that's why it hurt. THIS WAS ON MY INSOLE! There are no calluses there. I dried my feet, paid and left. I've tried this salon before, for waxing and had a similar experience. Please avoid! read more
