If I could 0 stars I would !! Worse experience of my life!! I went in for a gel mani and pedi. Everything was going good at first until I noticed after drilling off my old gel polish she didn't wipe my hands or anything. I asked her "is the dust going to make my nails bumpy?" She assured me it wouldn't so I let her continue. She was about to apply the top coat and I had to tell her you missed half of my entire thumb she fixed it but didn't like that I said something to her. I then told her "please make sure you do a good job please but I am picky with my nails, I'm paying and tipping so I want to make sure I'm happy with them." She said yes of course they would be fine. This is how she left my nails and I asked her to redo them or fix the ones that looked really bad and she started getting upset! She stared saying "ask anyone here they look good." I said "I don't care what anyone else says because they aren't paying I'm paying and tipping so it's not about who likes what I don't like them and I won't pay if you won't fix them!" She jumped up and stood in front of the chair trying to intimidate me. So I got up even tho I was getting my pedi done and went to grab my purse and she grabbed my arm and pulled me so I pushed her off me. Then proceeded to tell me She knows my kind and I'm too picky. I said look I'm asking you to fix my nails and she wouldn't so I left!! I went straight to top nails and even the nail tech there said they looked terrible! Horrible customer service never again! Warning** Beware, awful staff working in this nail salon. I will NEVER come back to this place. Both Lisa and Helen are rude and unprofessional. Neither one can do a simple manicure / pedicure. By the time they were done it looked like a 6 year old did the work. My nails were not properly filed evenly, my cuticles were all over the place and nail polish all over my skin. I was in the area and found this place. The owner Lisa was courteous, and polite, I did not wait long while choosing the colors. The place is spacious, organized, the chair and nail area are polished and clean. I was impress with their attentiveness on my manicure and especially pedicure. I was not familiar with the extra steps were done like oil massage, applied pedicure scrub, cleaned and cooling gel, heat wrapped each calf leg, and heated stone massage on the bottom of the feet, then final rub before applying color. I love the colors and the service fee was inexpensive. I definitely recommend this place and will be a return customer. read more

Writing on behalf of my daughter.... My daughter had come here to get a gel manicure and all was fine until the lady doing her nails took a chunk of skin out of her finger. After it wouldn't stop bleeding and after applying tissue paper, acetone, and anything else you can think of, she decided to put a huge glob of super glue on top of her finger which was very unsightly. She then told my daughter that she "needed to go to the doctor because her blood was too thin" as if it was her own fault that her finger was bleeding. She finished the manicure and my daughter went on her way, having been a little disappointed in how rushed and sloppy she felt the manicure was. Being a gel manicure, it's supposed to last 2 or more weeks. After only a week, the gel was starting to peel up and chip. My daughter went back and asked if there was anything they could do for her such as refund her her money as she was disappointed in the job that was done or fix it for free. The lady agreed to fix it for free the next day. My daughter went back and they buffed her nails to insanity and she wasn't sure why until the lady pulled out the box of acrylic nails. She was very confused as she had only asked to have her gel nails fixed. Now after having her nails buffed to oblivion, she realized that part of the first layer of her thumb had been taken off... So, the lady starts the manicure and is a bit rough with her hands, pulling her fingers when she needs to paint. The manicure is finished and she tells my daughter "I'll give you a discount, it'll only be $20." My daughter was appalled as she was told that it would be fixed for free, and then they went back and forth and she tried to lower it to $10 but wouldn't understand that my daughter would have much rather instead gotten her money back but was willing to give them a second chance to do her nails for free as they had said. The lady was getting very angry, stood up from her chair, and told my daughter that she would see her next time... Well, my daughter won't be going back. There is a big problem when someone cuts someone's cuticle and blames it on them and makes them bleed so bad they need to superglue it, and then later tries to intimidate a teenager into paying money for something that they said would be free. Need I mention that it's a bit off-putting when employees are slurping their food very loudly and eating chip crumbs off of the chair sitting in front of them... I do not recommend this place and advise you to stay away. ProfessioNAIL right down the street is excellent. read more

I got my nails done here and unfortunately they turned out terrible. During the entire process the nail tech was on her phone and not paying attention. I knew something wasn't right when she placed my hand in the light to cure the gel polish and it burned instantly. I'm guessing she did not allow it to cure long enough because it not only burnt, it now appears as if it's got dried bubbles in the polish. It looks like water was left on my nails that won't rub off. That and she spent no time filing my nails, preparing the cuticle or even ensuring that polish made it onto the entire nail. Overall they turned out terrible and I am so disappointed. When I asked her about the bubbles she said oh that's what happens sometimes with the light. There was no offer to fix the mistake or anything. Very disappointed. read more

Absolutely terrible. Went in to get a quick underarm wax for my trip and it was the most painful experience ever. The women started with tiny patches of wax... my hair was long I had been planning to get waxed, she then proceeded to individually pluck each hair out because my "hair was too short" I had to make her stop because it was so painful. I asked because it was so painful and I still have more than 1/2 my underarm I waxed that I not pay full price... I feel like this is reasonable considering the circumstances. Set in a calm and peaceful community on the west side of Simi Valley. It is to the left of Viva La Pasta Italian restaurant. Took my girlfriend here and was greeted by the very friendly staff. It was not her and my first time being in that kind of environment. Thus, she and I knew what a good nail salon consisted of. Due to the friendliness of the staff and laxed environment, the services was very relaxing according to her. Also a very clean salon that doesn't have the overwhelming chemical smell like other places she has been to. Definitely services and the attentative staff is what earns this place 5 stars for us. Ill start off with I work in the beauty industry and I have a license to do this work as well and I know how hard it is to be working during such a hard economic time but to me that means make it worth it for every client that walks through that door. I called last min because I was seeing a friend earlier that day and when I was leaving I remembered that this county nail salons are open (I live over 3 hrs away) so I called the 3 closest places to where I was and asked for pricing on a basic mani pedi and found out of the 3 this one had the cheapest pricing so I made an appointment. Upon my arrival I noticed they weren't very busy and I figure due to being later in the day. So when I went inside to check in I also notice not only their poor polish options (its summer where were all the bright summer colors) but also a lot looked as if they hadn't been touch in quit a while. So I finally found a bright pink and sat down outside at the station she told me to and waited to started. I dont know any of their names but a woman came out started my mani and immediately she said "oh you took your acrylics off!want to put them back on" when she already knew I scheduled for a basic manicure and declined a bit annoyed I'm already trying to be upselled before anything's even been done so I let it go. I started with her filing my nails mind u they're short already but not even, I get the bare minimum slip slop job of the 1 2 across my nail and then puts my hands in cold water. I let that go and she proceeds to again do a quick 1 2 with the buffer which didnt do anything at all leaving the ridges in my nails. I was already having a bad day and just was looking forward to my pedicure. So moving on she proceeds to clean up my fingers which I gave the second star because I did notice their implements were clean here and following the CDC procedure guidelines which I appreciated but aside from that they would've been 1 star. As I sit there the man comes out to start my pedicure which starts with cold water again I'm annoyed and asked for warmer water. He decides to bring more water out in another tub and add to my cold water so now its lukewarm I let that go and again during my pedicure I get MAYBE 2 mins of scrubbing and a shit 2 min lotion rub in my legs and barely touches my feet. At this point it's clear to me they wanna push me out the door before closing and between both services I'm done in a half hr. The paint job has already chipped on 3 nails in less than 24 hrs. I didnt tip but did pay the $30 I agreed to before arrival. Needless to say i should've read more on yelp and listen to everyone else. This place is amateur and in felt cheaper leaving then when I walked in. Save your money and give your business to another salon. read more

Venus did a great job making my nails LOOK good but they didn't actually take care of my nails the way I needed them taken care of. I call and ask how big there selection is of gel nail colors. The woman tells me she has so many and can't look through them all. I asked her do you use relish? she goes ya ya.. I go do you have chunky glitters? ya ya just come in.. of course I go in there trusting her and see the she has literally under 10 colors of gels. The worse colors and on top of that its a cheapy brand I have never heard of. I felt so pressured as they kept asking what I wanted and I drove all the way there. So I gave in, then... It was literally some aftermarket brand you buy downtown. The color was horrible and it chipped within hours! I was so upset but didn't even wanna be bothered being trapped in there again.
