Our kids played a little with the toys but they also put kids shows on the tv so our kids had a great time while my wife and her friends had a great time. They had some candy for the kids too. Prices were reasonable, everyone was relaxed with the massage chairs and nails looked amazing! AVOID- unless you don't mind getting bamboozled. I went in after spending 10 minutes calming my child down out in the parking lot because we happened to pass by and see the cute kids' chairs inside. Mind you a nail salon was not even in our plans and was not why we came to that building. They had kids' nail pricing and I thought it's not bad but the lady suggested gel pedicure and I agreed thinking it's a gel "add on" to an otherwise typical pedicure. All she did was paint my child's nails using gel. There was no water in the basin, no soaking/cleansing the feet, etc. to the point my child even the asked the worker "no water?" And it's because she's had pedicures done before so she knows the drill. For $15 would have painted her nails myself. They basically gave her a nail polish change service, but charged much more. Just moved to the area needed to get my nails done. Went in made an appointment for the next day. Needed a wax too and they called to have Susan come in for me. She did an amazing job!! Had my pedicure done by Ted! Great guy! Very personable! Michelle is wonderful too! I got a pedi mani done and was sooo relaxing. I also had an ingrown mail michele took care of. I've been coming to this place for 3 years on & off, mostly because it is half a mile from my house but today was the last straw for me. Whenever I would request white for my color, the female owner would laugh at me & continue to make fun of my choosing throughout my pedicure. Yes I know it is a basic color but with summer & events approaching, it goes with everything. I even stopped going to them when I wanted white so I wouldn't have to hear it. She also continuously slaps my feet? Even after I ask her to please not do that. Maybe she thinks it's funny or to lighten the mood but I don't find that funny. Not too mention they are way too rough with their work to the point it is no longer relaxing for me & I can't wait for it to be over. This time, she scrubbed my foot so hard she cut the side of my foot. When I told her she cut me she accused me of coming in like that! WHAT!? She stuck to that so of course no discount or compensation was offered. I wasn't even going to tip but the husband who is at the counter taking payment watched me like a hawk (even bent over hovering over me signing the receipt) to make sure i tipped. I was so upset & uncomfortable. This was the nail in the coffin. Will not be going back. I only gave this review an extra star because my nails do come out good, but I can no longer make excuses for them & the process isn't worth it. read more

I have been coming here on and off over the last 13 years. I've had some good and some not so good mani/pedi with various technicians. Today was, unfortunately, the last time I will be coming here. It's a family run business and I had a pedicure with a gentleman. The pedicure lasted a total of 12 minutes and the massage was about 30 seconds of lackluster rubbing. The pedicure was $21 which is very reasonable but honestly, I could have saved my money and just painted my toes myself and it would have looked better. Very disappointed. read more

Ken did my pedicure and also did such a great job. He was very meticulous with the pedi and removed and reapplied a couple times to make it perfect. I definitely have to give SoCal nails a five star rating. I had just recently got my nails done back home and had come to California for my dad's celebration of life. The day of my dad's service of course one of my nails breaks. I frantically went around to a few nail salons And asked if they could possibly fix my one nail. Some told me they were too busy others told me they didn't do acrylics etc. etc. i've been started calling numerous places to no avail. I found myself getting nowhere and was going to just have to go with my one broken nail. But then I came across SoCal nails I gave them a call. I explained my situation. The kind man that answered the phone Didn't hesitate to tell me to come on in and that they would take care of it. When I got there I was greeted courteously then sat down immediately. A wonderful woman came and took care of my broken nail, not only did she fix the broken nail she re-shaped all my nails and painted them all again. This was much more than what I expected. The nail salon was nice and clean and had a wide selections of colors. The employees were kind and courteous and the salon had calm atmosphere. Nothing special. Came here in between classes because my regular place in TO was busy. Just came for a pink fill. No one was in there besides one guy who said the ladies would be there in 5 mins to do our nails. That was about 11:05am. They didn't get there until 11:20am, and only had one girl to do acrylics. Kept my shape pretty good in a coffin shape. She did cut my cuticle and didn't even do anything about it. I can see the seam on a few of them, which bugs. I stopped going here mainly because they always tell me to wait when they have techs in the back. I decided to give it a try one more time and I requested a regular pedi. The owner and other tech start talking in there language which seems to me like they are arguing. After they stop they tell me to come back in an hour because they have two appointments which is reasonable. I decided to leave and find another place. It is sad that I actually have to give a whole star... this place is horrible. I have been to this salon several times but not in a while. I decided to visit this establishment last Friday with my supervisor at approximately a little after 4 pm.. the place empty.. I had a manicure and a pedicure.. no gel.. which the lady seemed to be upset that I wasn't upgrading.. We were both quickly hurried out in less than 35 minutes for both of us.. (mind you my supervisor had new gels put on) My 4 year old god daughter could have painted my nails better... no cuticles were trimmed on the toes or fingernails... I wished I had spoken up.. but not a big complainer... but after less than a week of staring at the super poor work done I have decided to yelp about it. I don't know if this is how nails get cleaned in America. But for Php50, that's a dollar, I can get well polished, manicured hands! Today, I paid 28 freaking dollars for a mani-pedi that a ten year old could have done better. I like the lotion and everything but hey, I actually need my nails cleaned. I don't know if he has magic nipper or something, but the guy who cleaned my nails was just touching the nipper to my nails! I observed carefully to see if he was just moving it tinily but no! He would touch the end of the nipper to my nail then drag it like he was pulling something. How can you get anything if the nipper was not nipping? And does he even know how to apply nail polish?! Check my picture for evidence. Pretty bad job! Never going back. Wasted my hard-earned money when all I wanted was to pamper my nails! PS. Don't let that guy clean your customers' nails. You'll lose customers. read more

I love this place. I now make the trip of 28 miles to have Michelle who does the most amazing acrylic pink and white that always look natural. I can squeeze as much as three weeks out of her work. And they never lift and look absolutely perfect right up to the end. And I am a massage therapist at the Westlake Village Four Seasons. I'm very busy there and wash my hands at least 15 times a day. So they are in water a lot and still they hold up. They obviously use quality product. And one of the best selections, of nail color that I've seen. In fact I don't ever remember my nails paint chipping. I remember they opened in 2009. I moved away in 2014. I lived in Moorpark for over 20 years. I've been going here since they opened. And then I moved to Channel Islands, where I change to a more local nail salon. I won't do that again. Because not only did I pay too much, have to listen to them talk and scream too much family chatter in Their native language. I found it to not be relaxing and actually quite stressful. Oh and got that other salon I ended up with warts on my feet and my client who goes there ended up with athletes but he never even leave the house he's 92. Only gets his had an issue as well. But not here. SO CAL NAILS they're also family-owned but quite a bit more courteous and really one of the cleanest salons I've ever seen. I've been there twice now when they actually had an outside cleaning company doing a thorough cleaning and sterilizing the basins and piping or plumbing of the pedicure chairs and they actually sterilize instruments and do not use dirty equipment on your you. I always recommend bringing your own pumice stone as anytime you scrape off dead skin anything you have on your feet get transferred onto the stone. That's just means there's a greater chance for cross contamination.I do believe she uses a heavy duty process for cleaning all instruments and not just what is required by industry standards. I will keep coming here because it's well worth it. I got out of here today with a great pedicure by Susan and pink fill with Michelle for $38. She even uses gelcoat and I don't believe she charges extra for that. Maybe but it seems so cheap that it just doesn't seem to matter. I want this company to succeed because they are that good. Please feel free to share the news. I'm not sure why I never reviewed them before but this is long overdue. read more
