The positives: First, I easily made an appt with only 24 hours notice. Second, the price, $125, was lower than what I usually pay for my old polish to be removed, a manicure and premium pedicure, and reapplying my polish. Third, the salon was decorated nicely, didn't smell strongly of chemicals, and the temperature was acceptable. It was clean, but not unlike most nail salons, the dust is thick on surfaces and it could benefit from a deep cleaning. The negatives: I will preface this by saying I may be spoiled by my nail salon on the east side of El Paso who performs my manicure and pedicure one at the time, not simultaneously, and assigns one person to each task, not multiple people who take turns completing various steps for the manicure. I thought this was normal procedure for a mani and pedi, but this is not what I experienced at Nail Studio despite me having an appointment for both services. My pedicure would have been relaxing and enjoyable except for the multiple people performing various steps in my manicure at the same time as my pedicure that kept interrupting my relaxation to perform their tasks. While I was sitting in the pedicure chair trying to enjoy my pedicure, three different techs worked on my manicure. Making my pedicure and manicure experience even less enjoyable, instead of standing on my left side to work on my left hand and on my right side for my right hand, they asked me to contort my left arm across my body so they could reach my left hand from my right side. Having to contort my left arm across my body so the manicurist standing on my right side can perform the services is not only not relaxing, but painful. If they must perform the mani while the client is sitting in the pedi chair, my suggestion for ensuring the client's comfort is to stand on the same side of the chair as the hand they are working on. Not ironically, the manicurist even commented that I needed to relax my hand while he worked on my nails. Really? Relaxing wasn't possible. As a service provider, you need to read the client. If your client is tense while you perform their manicure, ask what you may be doing to make them tense. Just to give you an idea what my experience was like, imagine you are a professional race car who stops in the pit mid race for a tire change. 5 or 6 mechanics race to change your tires, oil, and replenish your gas so they can get you back on the track in 1 minute. That's what I felt like. Rushed. Just a body sitting there being worked on as quickly as possible. I will not get another manicure and pedicure here u less they perform them non simultaneously. read more

I went in for a pedicure and was greeted and taken care of right away. My pedicure was quick, but not rushed, and done very well for a fair price. Upon leaving, I accidentally kicked my door with my toes like a dummy and smeared the polish. Swallowing my pride, I went in and asked if I could pay to have it fixed, but I was told that they would fix it for no charge. I had planned on coming back in the future, but this wonderful customer service just ensures that I will return for every future pedicure. So it's been a while since I've gotten a Mani and pedi, but after a month in the field I truly needed. Plus my wife told me my feet and hands were like same paper. Nail studio is new. My wife normally drives all the way to the fountains to get her nails done at the wood something spa. That's how serious she is. So finding this hidden gem was awesome for both of us. The service is great, but because they are new, they need more staff for the increase of customers. I truly can't complain. I had an older gentleman service me and not too bad. I made an appointment for a pedicure. When I walked in to the shop, I was ignored and the only remaining pedicure chair was given to a woman that was a walk-in and did not make an appointment. Came here 6 days ago for a classic pedi and gel mani. The tech did not know what almond shape meant for my nails. My polish started peeling off 2 days ago but more importantly, the tech cut down into my cuticle so far that it immediately started bleeding and she hurriedly pressed the rest of my skin back down into it that she was trying to cut off. It has since become swollen and infected and painful to the point where I cannot use my entire hand to do basic things. Simple tasks have become excruciating. I was in a rush to get a full set today because I have a scheduled trip coming up very soon. After reading reviews on Yelp I decided to call this place and ask for pricing and availability. The guy on the phone was so polite and gave me exact pricing and the time I could come in. As soon as I walked in the same guy I spoked to on the phone greeted me and acknowledged my appointment. Him and all the girls around him were extremely polite to me and offered refreshments. I picked my color and the lady that did my set was so nice and fast. Fast in a good way!!!!!! I was out of there in 45 min. with some of the best work in town. I highly recommend! I got a full set with gel and paid 40 dollars, yes girls FORTY dollars. two of us went to this nail studio and paid over $100.00 for complete nail care. the manager assigned 2 people to our care. the first thing that happened was the water was turned on in the tub and it was scalding hot. That was fixed. Manicurist walked away and both tubs overflowed all over the floor, our shoes and purses. it seems there was an argument going on amongst the workers and manager and it affected our service quite negatively....muy mal....undeniably The Worst business in El Paso. the owner should spend some time at this location. I feel like I had left a review here before when the place was called Q Nails or at least their yelp business name was Q Nails.... not sure if they changed management or just restarted their Yelp business page. Anyhow the personnel that work here are all the same and the service is still pretty much the same. I generally come here when I'm in a hurry they are the nearest to my home. The service is good and the so are the prices. I guess the only things I don't like is that sometimes it can be hard to get service right away they seem to be understaffed. Claimed I was going to steal money if they gave me a refund immediately instead of waiting 5 business days to see IF I will get refunded in my bank account. Never going here again! So unprofessional! The salon itself is very nice and a wide variety of colors to choose from. I got a set of acrylics which were said to be $30 but I ended up paying $45 which I don't understand why when I didn't get any designs just 3 colors. Also i noticed a few of my nails have too much acrylic so it bubbles on the side of my finger and he didn't paint the the top of a few of my nails. Overall the shape was very nice but it felts like the nail tech was rushed to help the next person in line. I was also told to come back at a later time and when I arrived I still had to wait another 20 minutes. read more
