I have come here before for a Pedicure. Apparently this time around, you have to pay extra to get a massage on your feet. The tech touched my feet for literally 3 seconds and didn't put any scrub or lotion on them. It was quickly done in less than 5 minutes. All the other Nail places around her spend time massaging your feet at no extra cost. After a long week, I was looking forward to a pedicure, the RIGHT WAY. I will not be coming back here again. The store is now called Lucky Nails. I came in with my mom for her birthday. I wanted to get the margarita pedicure package without any color on my toes. I had gotten my toes done the week before and liked the color and didn't want to change it. The women doing the pedicure was making fun of me for not wanting to get my color changed and kept aggressively pushing for me to do so. She was very rough when freshening up my cuticles, I said "ow!" several times and pulled away and she laughed. The women kept chipping off the paint that was already in my toes and talking about how grown out it was and that I needed to get the color changed. Will not return!!! read more

Worst nail job ever! My 5 year old grandson could have done a better job. My nails are trash. The nail tech was mean to me. I was so upset, I could not wait for this experience to be over. She was so nice to another customer while I was waiting. When it was my turn, it was a complete 360 degree change. Never coming back to this place and I do not recommend their services. My first time getting my nails done in Columbus. I'm not a confrontational person and I did not want to make a fuss. I just know this is the last time to be treated poorly by a nail tech. I got a gel manicure and pedicure at Nail Tek. I did the deluxe pedicure and it was great- I felt it was very attentive and done well, and the polish looked great. The gel manicure, however, I feel could be done better. There are many uneven spots and polish on the cuticle that makes the manicure look messy. It's a good place if I am in a pinch again, but I will probably look elsewhere. read more

I was visiting the area for the holidays and used yelp reviews to find a salon for a pedicure. I can only say I wish I lived in this area to go back for all my nail maintenance!!!! I got a nail fill and experienced their JELLY pedicure!!! Oh my word!!! Amazing!!! I truly enjoyed the entire experience and the jelly was just fascinating. So I just happened upon this place normally I come to yelp to look for reviews but in this case I did it because I just left the movie theater with my sister and her three kids plus one more, they drop me off in did some shopping, anyway I already had the SNS system done to my nails in Seattle Washington exactly one week prior but unfortunately it did not even last one week. Xuan who is apparently the head nail tech at this facility told me that she could tell it had been done incorrectly and she guaranteed me that her job would last the exact 2 plus to 3 weeks. Her new nickname is "That sassy Vietnamese chick" where I am sassy Nichelle. We are both strong-willed women ..me originally from New York, her from Vietnam. We started off a little rough but soon became good friends I will be following up in exactly 2 weeks to let you guys know how my nails look. The rest of the employees are absolutely delightful the place was clean the mom Mary is awesome she did my feet and my shoulder massage (one dollar per minute which is worth it if you're not looking for a true deep tissue massage) it is absolutely relaxing. One star for the person who did my nails. He was clearly annoyed that I asked for a basic manicure, instead of a more expensive service. He also told me that my nails were in bad shape -- right. From gel nail polish! He tried to tell me that gel actually strengthens nails. Well, not mine. No base coat and the polish was so thick it bubbled all over the nails, a fact I didn't notice until I got in the car. I took the polish off the minute I got home. Added a star for cleanliness and appearance of the salon. It's very bright and cheery, plenty of room, and the regulars seemed to be happy with the service. I am happy to say that Nail Tek is my go to nail salon. I moved from Texas about 2 years ago, and since have been to at least 4 other nail salons here in Columbus, multiple times. I always request Spring as she does amazing, and the other girls have their regulars come in while I'm getting my nails done, so that is a great sign. I went to another nail salon located down the road and was charged $70 (including tip) for a full set with gel coating, not okay! I recommend Nail Tek over the other salons because they do QUALITY work for a reasonable price, and I always get compliments on my nails! read more

I was very impressed with my gel polish and manicure. The atmosphere was clean, relaxed, nice music playing. I think the owner, very sweet, seemed to be enjoying her work, was very professional. She barely used the electric sanding thing, and used Emory board type files which were much easier in my fingertips than those kind that look like a piece of foam. They carry plenty of nail colors and all the OPI gel colors which I appreciated. I thought the price was fair- I will be sure to return when I'm in Columbus again. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon! I asked for SNS & it took over two hours, the color selection was extremely slim, AND they looked horrible! They were not smooth and were filed at a slanted angle when I asked for square round shape. They were not dry the first time & he acted as if that was my fault when HE was the one who told me to come pay. And when he fixed them, he asked me to come pay again & THEY WERE STILL NOT DRY AND MESSED UP AGAIN! On top of that, it costed $50 for a set of SNS with tips. I have never paid that much for that service, EVER, especially not for a terrible job done. A disappointment & waste of money. read more

Posted by my wife: We are from out of town but we highly recommend Nail Tek. It is run by a great family. The mom, Mary did a great foot massage even with the basic pedi. She knew some pressure points that really felt great. They told us to come back for her shoulder massage. I wish we had time. Spring, her daughter ( and I think owner) did a perfect acrylic full set with gel for my aunt. She likes them short and not too pointy and she did them exactly as she asked for. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Morgan pained my toes and did my basic manicure. She worked quick but made sure they were painted perfect. Highly recommend. Wish I lived near by. read more

I was recommended by a friend (resident of Columbus for 10+ years) to visit Nail Tek for my manicure and pedicure needs. Being new to the area and having Nail Tek as my only recommendation I visited the nail salon. I walked-in and asked for a regular manicure and pedicure. I was immediately taken care of by two very nice women. one person did my manicure and the other my pedicure. Both women took their time doing my manicure and pedicure. In the middle of my manicure I discovered they offered gel polish services so I changed my regular nail polish to gel polish. (Initially upon walking into the salon I didn't see any advertisements or signs for gel polish so I just assumed they didn't offer it. Silly me.) Therefore, I was transferred to another nail tech to do my nails with gel polish. I was given the foam flip flops, so I didn't have to walk on the bare floor and from what I saw in their inventory they had several more foam flip flops in stock. My third and final nail tech was very professional and did a great job with my nails. I enjoyed my visit at Nail Tek and feel they did an outstanding job with my nails. In addition to manicures and pedicures this salon also does eyebrow waxing, several women walked-in and got their eyebrows waxed and gave positive compliments upon paying. Not entirely sure of what other services they offer but I'm sure they offer more nail spa treatments. Yes they do make appointments if you prefer not to walk-in. They also have specific nail treatments for men, I read somewhere that all men receive the Deluxe Manicure. The photo of the salon shows blue walls. However the salon must have gone through a recent interior uplift because the salon now has a light pink maybe beige color not entirely of the color but they definitely were not blue. Again the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. They did play music from an ipod/iphone but that didn't really bother me. I may have walked in on a slow day... there was no wait and other employees were sitting in a circle having a conversation while folding towels. Overall, clean nail salon, great customer service, nice people, fair pricing. I paid $50 for basic manicure, pedicure with shellac, and gel polish. Where I'm originally from I would pay on average $65+ for the services I received today. read more

Great service! I just got a manicure and an eyebrow wax and they both look great! The typical manicure lasts maybe a day a two, it has now been 5 days and my nails still look incredible with no chips whatsoever! I don't live in the state of Georgia but if I ever return this is the only place I would go to get my nails done. read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I went in with an hour and 35 minutes. They told me that they had time to do a pedi/full set/brow wax because I asked up front. I left with a pedi only and a crooked toe nail that I brought to their attention and it wasn't fixed. It was painted over again! Granted, they were busy, but they shouldn't have told me there was time. Now I am going somewhere else to get my hands and brows done. They put me, and my mom, and my grandmother in a chair to soak our feet for about 30 minutes. It was almost like they did it on purpose so we couldn't leave. Never again...never ever ever. Im new to georgia so I found online a spa and went for a facial and loved it. I figured i'd stop by the nail salon right by the spa since i figured id have a great experience as well. I liked the fact that i was helped right away and that two people helped me the only thing i didnt like was i mentioned i soon as i walked in that i didnt have flip flops with me but they never said anything. So once my nails were done the person had moved on to a next client and the second person finished me up, but then just left. First of all, im usually offered to buy flip flops at the nail salons i go to and at this place i was never offered it. Dont get me wrong not all places sell or push for you to buy so in that case they lend you flip flops or some places even have the paper flip flops just so when you walk to the driers you arent bare foot. Well at this place i wasnt offered either. I had to ask if i should walk over to the drier and the worker said yes and she walked away leaving me to grab my own purse socsk and shoes with my wet manicure. It wasnt till one of the other works told her to help me with my things and if i needed flip flops. By that point i had already walked barefoot through the salon to get to the drier. I just didnt feel like i had a good experience.This was my first time walking barefoot and having to grab my own things with my fresh manicure. I felt bad sitting there barefoot tring to dry that i just put my socks on and shoes and left. My pedicure was ruined but im def not going back to get it fixed. read more
