I recently visited Royal Nails and Spa on Saturday 3/8/25. I can't remember the ladies name who did my pedicure, but I know she's been there a while due to seeing her there a couple times. She was very sweet, but she did a terrible job on my toes. The work that was done was not worth a $58 charge. The polishing she did on my toes was very sloppy. Something I could've done at home. So, I decided to try this nail salon out since it was close by and I was familiar with the area. It's in a mini plaza so if you're speeding you will easily pass it. Once you pull in there's plenty of parking for customers which is always a plus in my book. As soon I walked in I was immediately acknowledged and I told her what I wanted and it went downhill from there. Once I sat down in the pedicure chair the girl began to remove my polish, she ask me was it gel polish on my toes and I told her yea. She proceeded to remove the polish. The whole time they had no music playing, the TV was on but it was on mute so it was dead quiet in there, quiet is good sometimes but not when you have a loud mouth girl sitting next to you on the phone the whole time, so I pretty much had to listen to her whole conversation while I got my pedicure. #PlaySomeDamnMusic While the girl starts on my pedicure she never once asked what type of pedicure I wanted, nor did she ever go over all the different types of pedicures they offered. With me be a first time customer that would have been nice of her to do, but oh well more coins for me! After she got done I wasn't pleased with my toenails at all. The polish was extremely bumpy, not sure if it was old or if she just didn't care. I didn't say anything because I figure "If you knew better you would do better." So I made a mental note to myself (Never Again) After she was done she told me just sit in the pedicure chair and let them air dry since the ceiling fans were on... Never in my life have I ever had a nail tech tell me to let my nails dry via ceiling fan, but ok! After my toes finally dried I went to go pay for my (Basic Pedicure) #21Dollars he tells me my total is $26. I ask how? He says oh we charge $5 to take gel polish off. Reallllyyyyy??? I came in as a walk in during a busy time and the whole staff (6 techs) were busy but they sat me at a station and I waited for 30minutes for someone to get free....but after I saw how detailed and how much they took their time I UNDERSTOOD. I'm very impatient but it was well worth the wait (I recommend making a appointment if you come during the rush hours to prevent this) Lena was my nail tech -They have the Georgia Cosmetology licenses displayed at their station (Plus) -I watched each tech fully clean their station with each coming person (Plus) -They have a ton of colors in the Regular formula and Gel, even the muted pinks and mauves that are really trendy (SuperPlus) -They use plastic bags to cover their Pedicure stations for sanitation (Plus) -cleaning brushes stored in clear/clean Blue disinfectant (pluuuus) They were all very friendly. Terrible experience!! !My husband and I went and got pedicures. He also got a wax and I got my nails dipped. We asked for number 4 which comes with hot stones and did not get. They wrapped our legs in warm cloths. Fast forward to today and whatever they did caused what looked like blisters on my feet. But both our feet are scuffier then when we went in, rough and torn up. Our feet and legs are both extremely dry and itch like crazy. They even made my husband bleed cleaning his nails out! They have NO idea how to properly do a dip! Even the lady next to me argued about how bad hers looked. I asked for gel and they didn't do it. Told me no, they don't use it with dip and whatever she used burned when she put it on. Didn't buff at the end before putting top coat on. My nails are scratchy, not glossy and honestly the worst I have ever had done. Cut my nails uneven and way shorter then I asked. My husband had already paid and they wouldn't refund anything. Lady next to me argued about same issues and the ladies just kept saying thats your nail, it was like that. The only reason I tried this spot was because a friend said they were really good and she never had a bad experience. So all 4 of us tried it out. I got a pedi and a "mani" and the only reason I put mani in parentheses is because she didn't even file my nails, she only shaved them down because I got dip powder polish (it was my first time getting that and I picked a terrible salon to experience that with). I stopped her and asked if she was going to do anything else other than just dip my fingers in powder and she had some young guy just lounging in the salon to tell me that I didn't need a manicure because my nails are fine... What? Ok. At that point I was just like, finish doing my nails so I can say good bye to my girls and GTFO of there. At the end she checked my nails and said I was fine to go. I made sure to tell the man who was running my card that she didn't give me a manicure, only the dip power so he wouldn't charge me for it. The top of my nails are bumpy and layered on so thick, I'm sick of them already. Waste of money. And the reason I didn't go back and ask to get them fixed is because they honestly rushed through my nails and my friend's nails to get to the next customer without any regards to how their work looks. The greeting I received was abrupt. I had asked for shellac colors and she kept waving in the direction of all the nail polishes. Luckily the man who did my pedicure helped me. He did a great job. The lady who did my SNS did a great job but only dipped twice so my nails chipped less than a week later. I appreciate the use of covers in the tubs and liked the small chairs for kids. This was my go to place until the last time I went which was YESTERDAY! It took twice as long and the woman I had rushed the entire time. She didn't seemed focused on what she was doing and ended up having to redo a nail so many time that it burnt my finger from buffing it so much! The top coat of the SNS powder would not dry completely and they put a gel coat on top of the SNS. This has never happened to me before. Today the gel coat is coming off the nail and chipping after ONE DAY! I will not be going back. $45 wasted! read more

I've been here five times now. The first three times were for acrylic nails, and I loved all three times. The very next time was for gel nail polish. I picked two colors, a mauve and a gold glitter. The mauve gel came off within 3 days which was super disappointing but the glitter gel stayed on for the full two weeks and still looked brand new. So I decided to go again tonight for another round of gel polish to see if this one lasts longer than the last. Mid-week, mid-afternoon, so there was no wait. The salon is fairly roomy, although the manicure stations are pretty close. The pedicure stations look roomier. I got the regular manicure (non-gel). I thought the technician did a very nice job, really paying attention to detail. All the tools were sterile, as was the work surface. The price ($10 before tip) was very reasonable for the area. They use a liner in their foot tubs, sterilize their tools and dispose of files. It gets very busy because people just like their customer service. I always set my appointment with Lena. I went here because my regular shop was closed. I should have waited. I picked the 2nd level pedicure, $35. The menu states it's a 35 minute service. My complete pedicure, from the time she pulled my first foot from the water to polish, took 13 minutes. She did not thoroughly trim my cuticles or bother to smooth my heels. The extra sugar scrub I paid for in the level 2 was a joke. She slapped some scrub on there and rubbed it around, then did the same with the lotion for the "massage". This was NOT a massage. My mind was made up after the pedicure that I wouldn't ever go there again for a pedi... but I also needed my nails done. This lady didn't take the shine off my tips before she put acrylic on so they're probably going to chip quickly. My nails do LOOK okay, I'll give them that, so I gave 2 stars...but I truly won't ever go back to this place for ANYTHING. THIS WAS $65 THAT I could've just held on to. This is a great place to go if you want absolute sh*t service. I have gone three times and been upset every time. This most recent time I waited for 40 minutes before just getting up and leaving. If you aren't getting something expensive, don't expect to be seated. I had five people come in after me and be seated before me, one had an appointment so it doesn't upset me but the others were only because they were doing something pricier than me. Horrible experience!!! I went home with 3 deep finger cuticle nicks,BLOOD! Using neosporin and bandaids for a week. Big toenails cut so short, curved, not the proper way that should be cut straight across. I am currently putting a small cotton ball under each one in hopes they will grow out NOT ingrown. Currently living with them sharp and painful. An experienced, licensed nail tech would know better not to do this. When I would try to speak, tech acted like there was no communication. Would ignore me and talk across the room in Vietnamese to co-workers loudly. All the while many of the co-workers grinning and smiling at me for no reason probably just to compensate for not understanding my instructions of what to do with my nails. But when it came to collecting the fee, tech spoke english and understood transaction just fine. I usually don't give a negative review. I feel kinda bad, but I feel I owe it to another nice person and stand up for them. I would feel more quilty if someone got a serious infection. They might get that same tech they allow to work at their establishment without compliance. Please do some research. Go somewhere else. At this point I am doing my own for now on. read more

If there was a no star that would definitely be my review. I did not what a pedicure but he said it would take a while to soak off my acrylic nails so i should, I did. Well, she didn't even soak them.. she popped them off and before she even did the pedi! She made my nails bleed by breaking them! When asked why she wasn't soaking them she ignored me and glued my nail. So with the gel polish on top of a glued nail that is now broken my polish is coming off my whole nail in 4 days! So, I paid $71 for a horrible and cold pedicure i did not want and bleeding broken nails that were caused by the nail tech and also resulting in my gel polish coming off. Went in with my 24 year old daughter for a set of nails and pedicures. My pedicure was so so, the paint on the nails was horrible. Nails were filed crooked. My daughter's pedicure was great. While my daughter was getting her nail tips put on young lady walked in and had polish chipping after 4 days. The man doing my daughter's nails barely even looked at the lady's nail and said it was regular polish soooo... he was completely unconcerned whatsoever. She asked him to fix it for her and he pretty much brushed it off. She told him she could take her business elsewhere and at that point he said he would fix it. She explained she could only come back tomorrow and he quite ignored her. She repeated herself and then he said rudely, "see you tomorrow." At that point I knew I didn't want my nails done here. I felt disrespected for the lady and I became aggravated when he refused to pay attention to the nail color my daughter wanted and rushed through her nails. As soon as her nails were done, he left with the lady that did my nails even though I was trying to pay for our service, so I just sat back down. This is my first choice for nails in Columbus. I took my sister and niece here for a well deserved girl's day out this past Sunday. There is hardly ever a wait here. It is also very clean and the workers usually take their time and do a good job. They even have 2 smaller chairs for little ones to get pedicures, too! I used to get my eyebrows done here before but stopped when their brow service was a hit or miss depending on which tech you got. Let me start by saying the pedicure was great. Now the manicure was a whole other story. I asked the nail tech who turned out to be the manager if he could replicate a picture I showed him and he said yes. When he started the french tip design he said I couldn't make any changes. I was okay with my color choice and asked AGAIN if he was sure if he could do the design exactly as pictured. He said yes. AND IT WAS HORRIBLE. Crooked lines. He was yelling and obviously getting frustrated with me because he couldn't do the design. He told me I was taking too long to get my nails done when there was all of 6 people in the building. I asked him to change the color and not add the design. He was rude the entire time and when i asked to speak to the manager thats when he told me he was and i told him that it was not necessary to yell at me and make rude comments. I gave this place 2 tries and was disappointed both times. The first time my manicure and pedicure only looked slightly better than if I had done it myself which is saying a lot because I am horrible at doing my own nails. The second time I went in for a pedicure and they told me they would take me right away. When the told me what chair to sit in as I walked up to it, it had old toe nail clippings in the tub. But I let that go and sat down figuring they would wash it out. That didn't become necessary though because I left after sitting there for 15 minutes while no one even came up to see me. This is my favorite nail salon in Columbus. My absolute favorite nail technician is Stephanie and if I'm getting a pedicure, I like to ask for Michelle. It is very clean and sanitary. They put plastic lining in the tub of the pedicure chairs before doing pedis and you also get to select from a menu on which pedicure you want. I love the lavender. I went to Royal nails after reading the reviews and I thought it was below average. Quick service but not very detailed. The tech nicked my nail while putting on my shoe and proceeded to try to fix it by putting more coats of nail color on my toe. I had to ask another tech who did my gel to fix it because it looked so clumpy. The gel manicure was average did not wrap the tips. My cuticles did not look like I just got a manicure.
