Kim is the nail tech who perfected my toes and I am so happy with my summer feet that I went out to buy sandals afterward. I like the friendly atmosphere and the fact that they had immediately offered me a beverage which was either a bottle of water a Coke or Diet Coke. They cut me. I told them not to cut my cuticles and they did anyway. They sliced my my middle finger and it was only the 3rd they had done. They also pushed the other cuticles so hard that all my fingers burn. I went straight home to remove the terrible rough manicure and had to file my nails smooth which was hard cause they made them so damn short. I've dipped my hands in hydrogen peroxide just to make sure they don't get infected. read more

The pros: I was able to walk in and get a full set with only a 15 minute wait. The nail tech was friendly and personable and really focused on what I wanted. They also had holographic which is hard to find and she was able to replicate the coffin shape I requested. The cons: The quality of work was sub par, you could tell the nail tech doesn't normally do coffin or ballerina shaped nails. I ended up having to reshape my nails afterwards with many crooked nails and a few cuts. On top of the sub par work I was charged much more then what was posted and told this was due to the shape I requested. I was told this after she was half way done, so I had no choice but to agree. I was grossly overcharged for the quality of work. ($45) posted pricing was $25. This was an uncomfortable situation due to not being told until it was too late that it would be more than I expected. I would not recommend this place for anything that requires shaping technique. However, it appears to be an okay place for a simple pedicure or gel nails. read more

The two technicians that performed pedicures for my boyfriend and I were very professional. They took their time with the massages and paid attention to small details (like fixing up missed cuticles). The process didn't feel rushed, so I felt that I got my money's worth. They also have a very impressive collection of nail colors, most being OPI and other professional grade polishes. In the end, my pedicure was ok, but I will certainly not be returning nor would I ever recommend this place to somebody else. The thing that irks me the most is that they have a big sign outside on the street that says "Spa Pedicure $17.99." They hand you a menu with a few different pedicure options, so I expected them to ask me what I wanted. The lady sat down and started working on my feet after literally only saying "hi." Since she didn't ask me what I want, I quickly said, "Can I have the $18 pedicure?" Her answer without looking up or hesitation or anything was "no." as she kept working. I was like "uhhhhhh..." A few seconds later, the lady working on my friend's feet said "That price is only for Saturday and Sunday." Umm we're in here on a Wed afternoon and there is nobody else here... I'm pretty sure THIS is when you should have discounted prices. After we left, I looked at the sign again and it said "everyday low prices" on the bottom. I meant to call back on Saturday and ask if they are doing they "$18" pedis, but I forgot. I'm willing to be quite a lot that they would say no, though. This situation alone really bothers me. They flat out lie the get you in the door. The real price is $22 (recently raised from $20). There were three of us, there were three people working. I had the older lady. She was terrible. After the price issue, she kept working and got far past the point that she should have cut my nails (they were totally long and grown out, nobody would have wanted them as long as I had them). So, I asked her to cut my nails. She did, but that is definitely something I should not have to ask. Then the massage was terrible. It hurt so bad, I seriously thought I was going to be all bruised up. I didnt see any bruises afterward, but I was sore for the next two days! I didn't say anything because I had already said something about the price and cutting my nails. Then, she asked me if I wanted a design. Only $3, that's a good deal. She tried to draw something on, and it was the worst design ever. Like really, she should be really embarrassed. It was supposed to leaves or something. I told her I didn't like it, so she tried again. I said, "Can you just do a flower?? So, she did a flower, far worse than I can do. Not only was the skill terrible, but she put it right in the middle of my toe. It looked so stupid. So, I told her i didn't like it, and finally somebody else came over and put some squiggly lines on my toes that looked 100 times better. One of my friends said their message really hurt, too. The other friend goes there regularly and didn't have any complaints. She had the older man, who did a beautiful flower on her toes. I went in here thinking I was going to leave with an amazing pedi and mani (especially for $52.00) but I was not asked what kind of pedicure I want so now I'm left with dead skin all around my toes and a paint job I didn't want and a cut toe. My nails were probably the worst part. As soon as I put them under the uv light my fingers felt on fire, all ten. Of course as soon as I left (In a hurry) my nails started to crack. Lena is such a wonderful nail tech! I first heard about her from a coworker and decided to give the place a try. The first time I went I tried to get Lena to work on my nails but she was busy and booked (she's so popular!) I had her father work on me and he did a great job. The time after that I called and made an appt with her and I was so so glad to see her work was better than my friend had told me. I initially went in to have coffin nails done with a white matte polish. They looked great when I left but within one day the polish turned dark and nasty colored. I went back in to have it repainted and this time we did a white gloss nail polish. When I went to pull out my credit card to pay, the gentleman who did my nails in the first place told me no charge. I told him I couldn't tip him since I wasn't carrying cash and felt bad. He told me not to worry about it and to get him back next time. I definitely will be going back!!!! read more

Terrible service and communication If I could give these people zero stars, I would. I had an appointment today and even showed up 10 min. early. The guy who works there asked me if I had an appointment, to which I replied 'yes'. 10 minutes later, two customers walked in saying they had an appointment at the same time as mine. Both of these women got served before me. Then the same guy came up to me again and asked me the same question he had asked 15 minutes ago, " do you have an appointment?" I said 'yes' again and he just walked away without saying anything. After waiting 25 minutes and seeing other customers walk in and get served before me, I finally left. They wasted an hour of my time (including the drive time) and provided me with no acknowledgment or service. I will never go there again. read more

I have been a long time customer of this place and will never go back again. I went in to get shellac done as I had many times before and asked her to trim my nails because they were very long. She trimmed them to the correct length that I wanted and proceeded to put on the gel. After the curing she started to file my right hand nails ALL the way down and the left hand she left my nails noticeably longer. I made a comment about how she filed off all of my nails and they my left hand was longer than my left so I needed her to make them even. I also noticed that the nails weren't symmetrical at all. She barely speaks English (although I think she understands and speaks more than she lets on) so she acts like she is giving me a discount for charging me only $18 (which is what it says it costs on their price board). Sorry guys...you just lost a customer...there are places just as cheap nearby that won't do a hatchet job to your nails. PS. Their kids who also work there do a great job...perhaps mom should learn from them and possibly learn English relevant to the nail business so she can accommodate their clientele read more

He did not ask what pedicure I wanted and he did not offer to give me a manicure. He clearly just wanted to get back to his tablet lounging lazy man. If I ever return it will not be to him . Had gone here for a while for acrylic nails then switched to Shellac. The first couple of times were ok, but they would soak my nails, then use the drill. This made my nails even weaker and sore. The last time I got Shellac there within two days all of the polish started to crack so I went else where. When they went to soak off the polish it would NOT come off. The only way was to drill it off. I was told that they did NOT use Shellac, but a no soak off gel which is way less expensive to them. I am left with VERY sore fingernails that will take at least a couple of months to get strong again. I am VERY unhappy with this dishonest practice! read more

While visiting Salt Lake I had some free time and decided to get a mani/pedi. The worst decision ever!! Rather than telling me that they closed 10 minutes after I got there, they rushed both my manicure and pedicure. Soaked the gel off of my nails by submerging my fingers in a acetone which dried out my fingertips completely. Then did a half ass pedicure. Used motorized grinding tool to take the gels off thinning my nail until it hurt. When putting the new shellac on the layers were not cured properly and within 6 hours they were chipping. Did not even do any basic nail maintenance like cuticle care. I have never been more disappointed in a mani/pedi. read more

2 of us went in on a Saturday for pedicures & manicures. There was only 2 people working, I thought everyone else might be in the back. We sat down for a pedicures, after about 10 minutes the lady came over to do my friend's pedicure. She spent less then 15 minutes on her pedicure then moved over to do my pedicure. She didn't file my toenails,and hardly rubbed my feet- my pedicure was less then 15 minutes also. We had called and they said the pedicure was supposed to be 30 minutes. Long story short- bad serivce and I was out almost $40 with little too show for it. They said they were short staffed, but we made the appointment and they should have just told us they didn't have the staff that day. read more

This was only my second manicure ever. Gel nail polish. Simple. I had them done for the first time by someone else (I forgot who) a week earlier, and decided the color wasnt for me. Anyway. Their color selection is pretty limited. I asked for gel, and they tried to offer shelac. We finally found a gel color that looked comparable. I showed them one of my nails and said " I want them all to look exactly like this one"; clear polish except a dark gray tip. They don't listen. They do NOT listen. First, she insisted I had previously had mine painted white; I didnt, my nails are just naturally white in color. She didn't believe me and seemed to think I was wearing fake nails. I'm lucky she didn't grind my whole nail completely off! I'm not sure if the problem was the language barrier, or the fact that they didn't care to hear what I had to say. When they painted the nail, they put two extremely thin layers of the dark gray on; it looked transparent brown, and wanted to call it a day. I told him I'd like for it to actually look like the color I picked and not transparent. He was irritated and kept reiterating that if I wanted more coats, I should have told him before he put on the to coat. Point taken, but I shouldn't have to TELL him that dark gray should LOOK like dark gray. After the next thin coat, I asked for one more, just to be sure. Now he was irritated that I asked!! I was too intimidated to ask for anything else. He finished, and got me out of there as fast as he could manage. My nails are mediocre, still somewhat transparent in color, and not at all how I would have liked. Lesson learned, not all nail places are the same, I should have kept my nails as they were! Never coming back here again! Horrible service, horrible attitudes, and they do not do a very good job. Spend a little more money and go somewhere else, or just do your own. :/ read more

Terrible customer service and nail service!! Jack was in a rush the whole time and drilled through the layers to my nail bed on a couple of my nails!!! He did the wrong color, admitted it but wouldn't redo it because he had other customers waiting (it was NOT busy) yet he still expected me to pay for the service that he screwed up. He upped the price too, just randomly for no reason! When I questioned him about this he was very unprofessional and disrespectful. When I wouldn't pay unless he would correct my nails he became very angry, took half my polish off and told me to leave. I have never been treated so poorly while receiving a service, I was in shock! I left Nail Trix with dry alcohol soaked fingers and wretched half painted nails. Thankfully there was another nail salon right across the street in the shopping center next to Planet Fitness, Expression Nail Spa Pedicure where I had my nails fixed. I walked in, told them what happened and they said they have had several people come over there after going to Nail Trix with bad experiences.
