Got the deluxe pedicure and I felt amazing!!!! One of my favorite part of the pedicure is the foot massage and it did not disappoint! Hot wax, hot stones, foot massage. Staff was friendly and nice. The paint job up close wasn't the best though. Actually is was really bad. Not worth $40.

OVERPRICED AND TERRIBLE JOB I don't really know what to say because the pictures should do all the talking. I came in for fills that somehow ended up costing me $65, which is already ridiculously overpriced. if I had been quoted that price at the outset, I would've peaced out. The icing on this craptastic cake is that filing job and the polish are just so abominable that I'm going to need to get them redone. The guy who was doing my nails did mention to me that it would cost five more dollars for him to do my cuticles, but then when I went to pay and I asked him for a breakdown of why he was charging me $65 all of a sudden it was $10 my cuticles. Hmmm.... There is absolutely no price transparency at the salon. I feel like I was lied to, treated poorly, and on top of that my nails look horrid.

I love this salon! I actually had my nails done for my wedding at the Murray location and they turned out perfectly. Tammy did them, and she was great. This is my 2nd time at Cottonwood Heights location, and I was greeted warmly upon walking in. Jeff (owner) was there, and very friendly! It was nice to meet him. Ty did my nails and they turned out absolutely amazing. He was very gentle and very friendly, and he has a great eye for detail. I recommend Ty, he is wonderful. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Called and made an appointment for a full set acrylic w/gel. Was told to come in within 30 minutes which I did. I arrived, I was asked if they could help. I said I called and made an appointment and was told to be there in 30 minutes. I waited and waited, no one acknowledged I was there, they did not apologize for the wait and after 45 minutes of nothingness I got up and left. I will never ever go back there for another service again. Very unprofessional. I was not a walk in. I called in advance read more

Paid 20 bucks for an add on design, not too hard. I was fine with the extra charge until I realized they can't even do it right. Paid for the deluxe pedicure because I wanted the wax, but with my design I couldn't do it. I feel like this should've been told to me before hand. Overall , I'm very disappointed. This is the closest nail salon to me so it's frustrating they charge this so much for the add ons when it's average work. I did really like the lady doing my nails and she was very nice I'm just disappointed, I even had them redo the design but it still wasn't done properly. I didn't ask for it to be fixed again, because I didn't want to seem rude or anything. I just feel like if you're gonna charge that much extra for a design at least do it very well. read more

I love coming to Galaxy nails. They are clean, the nail techs pay attention to detail, and they are fast too! I never see this location empty. It's always a friendly, fun, positive environment. It really depends on who you get for pedicures, first time I went she did a great job but there nail polish doesn't last ( probs why they push gell) the second time I went was so bad, felt so rushed.. just rubbed my calf not massage. (Should have said something) Not worth the deluxe price I paid at all. The polish already has chipped in 1 day too. read more

Tea has done my nails 3 or 4 times now and she is so amazing. The staff takes great care of their guests and assists them each with individual needs and preferences. IF I COULD LEAVE NO STARS I WOULD!!!! This man was so aggressive! I couldn't even believe it!! Going at my toe with cuticle cutters! Ripping at my ingrown toenails! Which he shouldn't even be messing with mind you!! He starts extremely manically going at my cuticles and proceeds to cut my toe! Mind you!! at this point NO GLOVES!! He wipes the blood with his hand!!!!! doesn't even spray alcohol!! continues to bleed and he just keeps wiping it! i look at the lady next to me and she's in total shock!! as am i!! i took pictures of this guy because i'm disgusted! first time i've never left a tip! i used to come here when Jeff was there all the time and this NEVER would've happened! sad to see this place take such a nose dive! never coming back! read more

I'm so disappointed to leave a bad review because I actually like galaxy nails (usually go to Draper) and I really like the owner. I got a pedicure and the nail technician did not smile once, strike conversation etc. she actually seemed bothered that I was there. It made the pedicure uncomfortable. They try to upsale a lot and if you don't choose to they seem upset. Besides the fact that it was bad costumer service, my toes were done very sloppy. I also got a fill and the different nail technician was actually very talented. My Nails came out perfect. at the end for the massage I asked for two more minutes which I was happy to pay for, but the lady completely rolled her eyes at me and seemed very upset by it. She wasn't very friendly either. Seemed bothered to do my nails as well. When I was checking out I tipped her fairly generous and she proceeded to say "ok bye, I've done enough for you" and rolled her eyes at me again. I love the talent here, and the owner. But the employees have bad customer service. Definitely won't be coming back to this location. I was so disappointed. read more

Had the best experience here. They totally listen to you and your needs. For example they don't use the electric nail file if you ask them. Tiffany is great! She spends time and is very detail oriented. My gel nails last a long time, more than 2 weeks. Well worth the price. read more

It is embarrassing how long I went without a massage before coming in here while on vacation…read morerecently. I am a big believer in healing massage and should be going much more frequently than I am. It absolutely works, for your physical and mental wellbeing. My friend suggested we visit here because she had a lot of credits and wanted to gift me one of them. (We had originally planned to go up to the Crater for some relaxation, but weather was doing Utah weather things and this was a safer option for doing a heckin relax.) She comes here a lot and has earned them being a loyal customer, but it was still very kind of her to offer one to me. We both prefer a more feminine touch, and in order to both have a massage therapist that fit our preference we scheduled our hour massages back to back. I am forgetful, and have forgotten her name, and I'm sorry, but she was fantastic. I would definitely come back again. Apparently another new thing that's popped up in my adventures with anxiety is that I am uncomfortable putting my face in the donut hole, how fun for me. She was awesome though, she said we could modifty it so I could lay on my back and sides, like they do for pregnant people. I was nervous, but this turned out fine. She had a great sense of how much talking I felt comfortable with, and I found her easygoing and kind. I only wish I could remember her name. They did have extras, or "enhancements," you could add on to your massage, such as hot stones, CBD, or aromatherapy, but I decided not to do anything extra. The temptation was there! The value of a one hour massage is $100, and they did have square so I could tip appropriately even though I did not have any cash on me. Again, this place had great vibes and I loved my massage therapist and her willingness to accomodate my weirdness. It is nice to go somewhere for a treatment and feel better than comfortable. I would absolutely come again when I am next in the area.

I was hoping to release tension in my upper back and neck but the therapist could not quite get deep enough or help relieve that. It was relaxing, but I would not pay for the service again. My husband had a different therapist obviously, but he also said that he felt like it was not a deep massage to relieve the tension, but more of just a gentle back rub with oils. Honestly we could have saved the $200 and rubbed oil on one another for the same effect that we got.

Someone finally showed up and they said they didn't have any massage therapists and lied and said they texted and called me to cancel, but the only text I got was the confirmation of my appointment 2 hours before. It took weeks of trying to get another appointment. I asked the owner, Candy to compensate me for me showing up and not getting my first appointment and she just stopped texting me. When I finally got my massage it was ok for the first half an hour, then I started hearing kids yelling "hi-ya". Turns out they are next to a karate dojo! Unless you find screaming relaxing, do not get a massage here!

I cannot actually believe they're continuing this BS for another summer in Utah! It's unacceptable...to the clients, but even more so to the employees!

She asked my permission to do extractions and was very attentive in making sure I was comfortable. My skin looked and felt great. I look forward to coming here again on my next visit to Sandy!

I used to work in homeless services and there is a concept called "meeting people where they are at" rather than where they should be. I feel like Jun met my body where it was at, and not where it should be. In other words she was adaptable, intuitive, and really got into the core problem areas. I am so SO SOOOO disappointed. Jenny is about the ONLY one there that I would trust. I had a great experience when she took care of me. She was charming and very skilled. Unfortunately, I came on a day she was off. It seems the staff does NOT consider friendliness to be anywhere on their priority list. There is a shorter young lady who seems to have a major attitude issue and the others don't make much of an effort to smile AT ALL. Perhaps when the boss is away, they don't care. Not the best way to run a business. I was there for OVER AN HOUR for a simple shellac POLISH. Nothing more. I specifically told her that I liked the length my nails were already at (and you girls know...growing them out can sometimes be a pain!) & she STILL insisted on filing them down!! I was so upset. She also filed them CROOKED! I know ENGLISH is their second language, but communication is crucial. You want to make sure your client gets what they want. It is so surprising to me that people can't be expected to do what they should be qualified to do!! I am no certified nail tech, but I can most certainly do a much superior job....they can't possibly have looked at what they did to my nails and be PROUD?! I like the convenience of having someone else do them for me....but when it takes forever and I end up having to go home to redo them, what's the point?? Like I said, Jenny is literally the ONLY technician there worth spending any time and money on!!! If you want great service and attentive nail technicians...go to JADE nails in the sane area, or T&T Nails on 2100 S. I have ALWAYS had impeccable service. They are all very patient and ALWAYS ask me DURING service if everything is to my satisfaction. Not that there is ever anything to criticize, but if there ever is...they are HAPPY to fix it....they don't revert to their native tongue to complain about you, they eagerly FIX it. That's how it SHOULD be. I think it's rude to talk in a different language when I only understand English. It's obviously a way for them to complain Waste of TIME and money....I hope Jenny decides to retrain her staff or replace them completely. read more

Was referred by a friend, Recently moved out of state this past year but I still visit frequently when I do I want my nails and toes done, well search is over found the best spot at Sophias, no one does better than her, I'm a nail snob I don't ever go longer than 2-21/2 weeks without getting mine done, it's been well over a month& they look great none broken, chipped, faded I'm amazed this is a first for me, my aunt also had hers done same as me, we are gonna be so loyal, we adore her, her work speaks for itself as well as her customer service, she does the best designs, doesn't rush you to just get you done, she multi tasks like no other, and very reasonable in cost, don't waste your ,don't waste your money elsewhere I've been too beyond many in the Wasatch/SLC Valley I know what I'm talk in about! Love the mani/pedi I got at Galaxy while in town this weekend. The only reason I can not give 5 stars is because the price was so much more than I had anticipated but the quality is great so it's okay! What I really loved about Galaxy that is different from all the other nail places I went to is they take so much time with each client. I was not rushed and they really made me feel good in there! The polish/gel selection is HUGE so give yourself lots of time to choose! They have some really great brands and colors! One suggestion for Galaxy: get some shades for the windows. It was so bright and the sun was constantly in my eyes. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Oh how I love this salon/spa!! Jenny, Jessica, Trina,Tina & Rose are the BEST! I have been getting my nails done at Galaxy Nails for almost two years now. I have had the pleasure of having all the gals do my nails, each one doing an exceptional job. I've always left happy no matter who did my nails. It is family owned and I feel like I'm visiting my sisters when I visit. Jeff is so fun to talk and joke around with. He and Jenny take it very serious the their clients leave happy and satisfied! I had an amazing experience at Galaxy Nails! Jeff and Jenny, the owners, were incredibly welcoming and took such great care of us from the moment we arrived. This is my go-to place! Jenny is excellent! She really listens to your requests and is super patient when working on your nails. I love her attention to detail and really appreciate how friendly and careful she always is. She always makes sure that I'm happy with the results every step of the way. Visiting from the East coast and tried this place because it was close. Specifically showed technician problem areas on my feet and indicated they were in bad shape. I paid the extra for an upgraded pedicure and still left with very rough areas and calouses. Be careful when paying, they use an iPad and it calculates a percentage or dollar amount, make sure it is listing what you want it to list. Will not go back. read more

This place is Rock. I saw Sophia's Nails on Facebook and love the pictures. I called and they were able to fit me in right away. Pedicure starts only $18. Deluxe Pedicure is $28 and it's the best pedicure I've ever had. It included paraffin wax, warm lotion massage, hot stone massage and all kind of stuff. I also had Shellac done for my nails and it lasted forever, like a month. I highly recommended this place. read more

We called with one hour heads up for our group of five. They hustled and found enough technicians to accommodate us. They use liners in their foot baths and have three levels of pedicures, starting at $25- all the way up to 45. No nonsense, but we're kind enough to offer water bottles. Very convenient! read more
