When I was in Utah I visited Van at E & J nails for face waxing, nails, and my first set of false lashes. She did great each time.

This place needs to just shut down in itself. Came to get my lashes done with a deal from groupon. I asked for volume. The problem is she stuck the lashes on my eyelid and it hurts cuz it was poking my eye. It was clumpy because She didnt wait long enough to let the glue dry so they would be separated. When it was done, they complimented me with the look and I wasnt happy with it at all as it was poking my damn eye. I flew the next day to LA and anymovement with the lashes hurt. It shouldnt feel like that! I am so livid when I called to ask them to get my lashes removed and they said they dont even offer that. How can you have a lash service without getting the shitty job removed?! I had to get a professional lash lady to get mine removed! I only had it for 4 days and I have had enough of it. I don't do bad reviews because I give them a benefit of the doubt but when they wont even fix the job that was done, then i write a review! I like supporting small businesses but this one is not it. Either you hire a better professional to do the lashes or just dont offer that service at all!! Get your salon together as this is a ground for a lawsuit as I am so unhappy! read more

I got a good deal off Groupon for a shellac spa manicure. So I figured I'd try it out. (Currently sitting in their parking lot.) It's located in a strip mall, next to Tandoor Indian Grill. It's your average nail salon. I called an hour ahead of time just so I know I would have a spot but it wasn't needed. There was only one other lady there besides me. They have TONS of selection for shellac colors. I would say about 60+ colors. The lady who did my nails kept the conversation going. We had discussed to have ring fingers be glitter, but she forgot & when I reminded her, she apologized but didn't ask if I still wanted them or not... I got a light color and she did only two coats. I asked if she could do one more coat and make it a little thicker and she kept insisting it was okay. I could see streaks...I want another coat. She then put on the third coat then left me there to go do another ladies feet. Then she came back to finish me up, I'm sorry but you touched someone else's feet then came and touched my hands without any washing. My thumbs didn't dry completely and when she went to wipe them with alcohol, it started to smear. She was very apologetic and redid them. Now, I know I got a good deal off Groupon, but I did pay for a Shellac SPA Manicure. I didn't get any lotion or massage. I was pretty disappointed. I also am leaving with shellac that has leaked onto my skin and the sides of my cuticles. If you have experienced this before, you understand my pain. The gel wasn't removed completely from my skin. I only give this salon one star because I can't do zero. I was in and out in 15 mins and I didn't get exactly what I paid for. I will not be coming back to this salon - even for a great deal. I purchased a full set of eyelash extensions last month from this place. I called to schedule an appointment today at the listed number in Groupon. An Asian woman with an accent answered the telephone and when I told her it was a Groupon for eyelash extensions ($109) she said that I would need to help her out by canceling my Groupon and being refunded then they would price match me for the Groupon price once at the salon. I asked her how I was supposed to cancel the Groupon. She said that I need to open the Groupon voucher (which voids your ability to trade in the voucher amount) and slide the bar (which actually redeems the voucher, not refund it) then it will ask me if I want a refund then I can request a speedy refund. So, I'm no I'm not going to do that for you to rip me off $218 dollars for eyelashes. I think not. This person is ripping people off by asking you to redeem your voucher then have you pay cash in person with what? The hopes that you don't notice that you didn't get your money refunded? So for real? Their own rules on their Groupon say you can only get a refund within 3 days of purchase and I was far from three days. Groupon did refund my money but now I'm having to find a place to do my eyelashes on a Saturday and that will be impossible on such short notice. This is absolutely ridiculous and they should be banned from selling on Groupon. Who knows who they have actually ripped of like this. read more

Very nice nail salon and the staff is so friendly and helpful. They wait on you right away and are gentle with customers. I have been to many nail salons in the area and have found this one to not be overcrowded. It is locatied in a small mall next to the Tandorri Indian Resturant. They have good prices and are have a 20% sale off of services. read more

Water was cold and the polish they used already came off :( Not worth the price at all. Pedicure was great but manicure was not.

This place was not very good 1st off they have a very limited color selection. 2. They were not very friendly or talkative 3. The pedicure was very lacking very little massage, and the massage I did get was very poor. 4. Plus the final product of my nails is not very good. It looks like I could have done a better job. 5. If I could give this place zero stars I would!!!!!! I went for a mani and pedi, there was a few people waiting and all the ladies were busy, not a big issue. When they got to me I was sat in my chair and she turned the water on, it was freezing. I told the girl, she said it would be fine and walked away to do some one else's nails. When she finished she came back over to me and started on my pedicure. She kinda scrubbed my callouses I asked her to go back and do it two more times. She only massaged one foot. When the time came to look at my toe.... my toddler could have done a better job. I went back the next morning to have them fixed, the girl rolled her eyes and shook her head at me when I asked to have her remove the dead skin she had missed. My nails were done terribly as well by a different woman. It's been not even a week and they are peeling off. Steer clear of this place!!!!!!! read more

These are the nicest people I have ever met in a nail salon. They were friendly, accommodating, and my gel manicure looked great. I have been to Vincent twice now and he does a wonderful job, I'd highly recommend him. My manicure lasted a couple of weeks and I was able to play the piano without them chipping. read more

WORST experience at a nail salon!! I asked Vain (the nail stylist) nicely to please trim the sides of my nails to make it a coffin shape, but she didn't listen and filed them down aggressively with a filling tool and chipped my actual nail off, which hurt SO MUCH! So I told her "that's what I was trying to avoid" then she starts cutting off all the nails without telling me why. She also starting making rude remarks towards me, which was VERY unprofessional. She ended up saying she won't do my nails. It was a waste of time and a terrible experience! Never going here again. read more

Their Groupon for a "Shellac Manicure" is not actually for a manicure - it is just to put on the Shellac paint (which is not a deal at $15). They had double booked all three technicians, so it was a wait. I handed over my debit card and said, "Five dollar tip please" - which was generous for the 8 minutes the paint took to put on - and the woman put $5.75 on my card. When I called her on this she had the quick and barbed response of "well, do you want a refund?" It was apparent they do this to everyone who purchases the Groupon. Didn't clean the polish off my toe/skin where she globbed it all over the place.. The gel nails were REALLY thick, they looked ridiculous. When she was done I had to ask her to file the sides where the gel was on my cuticles and skin, and she was annoyed by this. Overpriced. read more

I've been going to see Van and her employee's for over 10 years, they are always a Delight! The product and services are ALWAYS consistent and just what I ask for. I've been from coast to coast and when in search of a nail salon outside of Salt Lake City Utah, I can NEVER find one that's even remotely adequate to what I receive here at home with E&J Nails. Not to mention the millions of compliments I've gotten through the years. This place is Truly my FAVORITE! Finally a place I will be going to for as long as I am here. Perfectly located behind a coffee shop. Prices are far better than any other place not needing a coupon. I went in to get a full set and when I showed her what I wanted she said she could do it. The acrylic isn't connected to my real nail. She didn't care that u asked her to fix the stones. She rushed threw the whole thing and when I told her I wasn't satisfied with the color she ignored me. My friend got her nails done too. She asked for square and was given round. She asked for stripes and was given some crooked random lines. The acrylic is bumpy and all over the place. None of them are even. DONT GO HERE! I went in for a mani/spa pedi. I was in and out the door in 15 minutes. Wham Bam, thank you ma'am. They were not thorough. I had to point out spots they missed and have them touch them up. And there was polish on my skin in several places. They were not at all friendly, either. I probably should have spent the money on a new bottle of polish, stayed home and done the job myself. I came to this salon because I bought a groupon deal for Two shellac manicures. The guy was very nice but only did nails no manicure, and that was advertised in the groupon. Also I paid for two manicures and they owner said it was only for one and redeemed my groupon, after showing her what groupon advertises, online, her employee said I could come back for that one time exception, so we will see what happens in a few weeks, especially since she already redeemed my groupon. Zero stars. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment for three gel nail pedicures to be done at the same time. I went in today and the lady told us to take a seat and wait. She said that we had one person ahead of us. I tried to ask how long we had to wait because clearly the lady ahead of us had just walked in. I explained that I had made an appointment because we had plans for the evening. The lady kept working on someone's nails and told us to come back at 4:30. I have never been treated so horrible and the poor customer was having her feet put in scalding hot water. My friend asked "do you see her name down on your books?" The lady went into the back room to look, came back and said, "yes." But that didn't change anything and we ended up having to leave. We will never be coming back. She just lost three customers forever. read more

Called in and spoke with a very nice lady to see if she could squeeze my boyfriend and I in for some last minute pedicures. She said manicure and pedicure was 30, 15 extra for gel nails. I thought this sounded mighty cheap so I confirmed, saying "so for me I will get mani, pedi and gel nails for 45 and my boyfriends pedicure will only be 15?" She said yes so we came in. I told them I had gel on my toes yet they started doing his pedicure first which I thought was weird.... then I hear the lady start trying to up sell my boyfriend to a "deluxe pedicure" for 35... so I said "wow that's quite the jump from 15 to 35!" Then the lady that was on the phone chimed in and said no the pedicure is 25 I thought you said male manicure. We went back and forth and she just argued saying she misunderstood. We tried to bargain with them and have them give us the deluxe pedi for the regular price for the miscommunication but they wouldn't. The woman literally stopped mid pedi and said he was done.... his legs were still wet and half covered in the sugar scrub.... I asked her to at least complete his pedicure because hellooooo what kind of service is that?! Just stop halfway?! The lady doing the pedi didn't speak or understand any English which was also very frustrating and un professional. Lesson here: his toe nails look like crap, I could've done a better job myself! The service is beyond terrible! They weren't willing to even try and make it right they just let us walk out very un happy. Oh and the place is a dump so don't get fooled by their bate and switch like we did!! read more
