I'm pretty ticklish when it comes to pedicures but Jade did an amazing callous treatment that did not cause me to react like a flopping fish. I found the seats to be extreamly comfortable and enjoyed my manicure by Q who customized the service to the way I need it (I don't like my cuticles cut too much). It's official, I think I've had one of the best pedicures of my life. Where do I start... Nailogy is a different experience than most of us have had at a nail salon. No loud talking, big crowds or uncomfortable chairs. From the moment you walk in the door the ambiance is set. Relaxing music, comfortable individual couches, champagne and water basins filled with fresh flowers welcome you. Think country chic meets meets your favorite day spa. All the ladies who work here are nicely dressed and extremely professional. Your pedicure begins with the option of essential oils, fruit extracts, and bath bombs. You can mix and match as you please and test all of the sents before you make a decision. Of course this isn't a necessary part of your pedicure but definitely something that makes it truly unique. Nailogy is big on natural ingredients and products. I decided to go with the honey oil blend, melon extract and honey powder. I have extremely sensitive skin and was elated to find a place that used all natural ingredients that wouldn't give me rashes. I'm definitely looking forward to trying the mojito mint or chocolate next time. In terms of the pedicure itself, my nail technician was knowledgeable and extremely professional. That is one of the thing that truly sets the salon apart from the others. No loud side chat or hard selling of products. They have a wonderful range of colors and use high-quality gel. Passed by this place on my way home from Orange County and I'm so glad I did! They just opened so they are currently offering a discount on your nails. I had May (I believe that's how you spell her name) and she's amazing! She went through each step of the process with me as well as thoroughly explaining Gel-x as this was my first time getting them. She's incredibly meticulous with the nails and will make sure that you are as comfortable as you can be. The biggest difference between this nail salon and other ones in the area is that they focus on creating the best manicure and pedicure service by using all natural products and ingredients. For the pedicure services you're allowed to choose between formulated recipes for your foot bath as well as the opportunity to create your own using the ingredients they have in their lab. I love this nail salon so much! It is unlike any salon I've ever been to in the best way. It was extremely clean, smelled great, the staff and patrons were all masked up, and since most of their products (besides polishes) are natural, it created a very calming environment... that smelled great!! I had the moonlit martini pedicure and a regular gel manicure with a design. I loved that there were little to no harsh chemicals used in the foot bath. It smelled so good and my feet feel so moisturized after. The polish job on the pedicure was amazing too! They used OPI polish on my toes which is my favorite brand and typically lasts more than a month without chipping. I didn't catch the name of my pedicurist, but my manicurist, May, did an amazing job on my hands. She was also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and informative! She also replicated a beautiful design I showed her... actually she did it better! I'm really happy this new salon opened in Placentia!! I have been coming to this nail salon on and off for a couple of years. When I first started going, I really loved it. Mainly because they use more organic and natural products. There have just now been too many times that have left a bad taste so I'm done coming back here. First off the work that they do is very pricey. I'm assuming this is based on the quality of their product which I always thought was fine and feel I've tipped generously. I originally stopped coming here because I moved and because I was put on some kind of a list where I had to leave a deposit before I attended the appointment because I allegedly had a no call no-show. I was never given a warning, or even told that this was a policy that they had in place. Nonetheless, I was upset because it seemed unfair that I was now on some list and had to leave some sort of deposit. I didn't mind the deposit it was the way that they went about it that just felt really icky and sneaky. Fast forward to maybe a few months even maybe a year later, I was in the area so I called to see if I was still on this list and low and behold I wasn't anymore so I made an appointment to come in for a pedicure and a gel X set. That appointment was fine. The next appointment I used their varago online system to book my appointment. When I got there, it turned out that for some reason I only scheduled a pedicure. But I actually wanted to get gel X done as well and have the previous set removed. I'm not sure if it's the owner, but whoever was at the front seemed to be visibly bothered that the appointment didn't work out. So much so I offered to leave if I couldn't be accommodated it wasn't a big deal. Truthfully, her attitude made me really not want to stay, I'm not sure why I did because I definitely didn't feel welcomed or comfortable anymore. That appointment was fine, but not extraordinary, and I'm not very happy with how my nails turned out. All in all I drive about 30 minutes to come to this location because I did appreciate the more natural approach but for the pricing and the quality of work I'm sure I can find some place else to take my business. read more

This is a great little salon! It's cute and clean. They have several pedicure options clearly priced and laid out on a book they give you to choose from. If I was local, I would probably come here all the time! I removed one star because they charged me to remove gel when I was getting another gel manicure and pedicure. I normally do not write bad reviews but I have NEVER seen such blatant injustice. My neighbors warned me that this is a scandalous place and that the woman at the front desk will cancel your appointment at a moments notice and without any warning if: 1.You do not consistently pay $100 or more for services. 2. If you ever cancel an appointment, no matter what the reason even if you give her plenty of notice. 3. If you do anything that slows them down from rushing you in and out, such as if you tell them you don't like something. 4. If you are the wrong minority, you will not be treated equally, plus you will get cancelled. 5. If you are elderly or handicapped they will find an excuse to cancel you. Well, now it has happened to me. At the front desk, I politely asked her why my bill was twice as much as the previous time when I was there. She said that it was because the last time I didn't get a pedicure and this time I did. I cheerfully conceded even though I did not believe her. She gave me my next appointment, I paid and left everyone a tip. The night before my next appointment to get my nails done for a wedding I got a cancellation text. (See photo). Was offered a refreshment and proceeded with the pedicure but they started out dry..i didn't "soak" first..that was after the actual pedicure (hope that makes sense) but still ended with a nice foot/leg massage. Now from what I now read..they only do natural nails..they don't do acrylic (which I didn't need a refill anyway) but to take off my polish and only polish them (gel) was $40..I didn't even get a hand massage or soak so I was a little disappointed on that part. Usually there is another lady who sits at the front who is wonderful every time (short brown/black curly hair). Basically this new person was annoyed because my mom wanted to get gel and she didn't know I had gel on my toes. She rolled her eyes at us and then told me to next time say, when booking an appointment, that I had gel on my fingers and toes. Which I understand and that I am truly sorry for. It was the way she said it and her attitude was UNPROFESSIONAL. She then proceeded to tell us "now we are going to have to push all the appointments back after you."Basically scolding us. It made us feel like she wanted us to reschedule and that she didn't want us there! Tried this nail spa out for the first time and not disappointed! I got the pedicure this time as I have a regular gel nail spot but will be trying out their gel nails one day. The service is great and such cute decor. Everyone was super friendly and they upgraded me because they are running a little behind schedule. Really great customer service here. The only thing that I would dock one star on was my technician was a bit rough and not as friendly as the others at the spa. She definitely wasn't rude but barely spoke. I told her I was more ticklish and to be more gentle. She was still pretty rough and cut one of my nails pretty short and ripped off a pretty painful part of my nail corner. Other than that I would definitely return..just hoping they'll be a little more gentle next time. So glad they opened up near my house regardles.
