They are conveniently located in La Costa in the same plaza as Starbucks, Albertsons, and Broken Yolk. This is a great salon & they have a lot of color selections. There are many nail technicians so walk-ins are not a problem. However, I highly recommend Renee! She is so maticulous with her work and so gentle at the same time. She always gives the best manicures (gel or regular) and pedicures. She also does waxing and is great at it as well! In addition, she is very interesting to talk to and so sweet. I could go on and on about how great she is, but you should def. check her out for yourself! Unfortunately they do not take credit cards. But Renee told me that starting October they will begin taking credit cards due to change in ownership! But I doubt the quality of their work will be compromised. Decided to come here since my usual favorite nail place isn't open on Sunday. Took my daughter with and it was her first mani/pedi. Called to make appointments for us and was given some right away which was great and the man who took my appointments greeted us right away with a nice warm smile when we arrived. My negative experience comes from the actual service. My pedicure massage was not at all a massage and more like I was just getting lotion softly rubbed into my skin. The massage is the main reason I pay for a pedicure. We both got gel color and it wasn't painted down to my cuticle but looked more like it had been a week since the manicure. And less than a week later two nails completely peeled of the color. I haven't had gel color ever peel off that quick. The standards or training should be raised so that this salon and it's nice people don't suffer the consequences. read more

I made an appointment. arrived early and still wasn't seen for another 20 minutes at which point they sat me in the pedicure chair for another 20 minutes unattended, no water. Finally got my toes done when they started to work on my nails. I asked for a gel manicure and the woman ground down my nails until they were fine. I explained several times she was burning me and it felt hot. She did nothing. Then she used a different color than the one I picked out. She finished my nails, charged me $40 and no hand massage. It's awful and I will not be returning and will be sure to tell the people I know that place was awful. read more

Been a very satisfied customer for over a year and so happy Renee was available for my first visit .From the beginning she has been very kind and always shows an interest in how "things" are going for me. Probably the sloppiest set of nails I've ever gotten. They were supposed to be "coffin" shaped but that's far from what they looked like. Very thick, crooked and the shape was terrible. I only went here by default because it was the closest salon to me. The salon was also about 89 degrees inside. It was so uncomfortable and hot. If I'm paying for a service I expect to be comfortable and relaxed, not feeling like I'm at the gym in the sauna. I'll never be back. read more

I really like using Nails 2000 plus. I recently moved to the area and hadn't found a solid nail salon until coming here! I had tried at least 6 different places until I found Nails 2000 plus. They are GREAT! I go for a gel pedicure once a month and gel manicure every two weeks. They have very consistent performance - never too long of a wait if you call ahead and get an appointment. If you're wanting someone that will pay attention to detail, spend quality time making your nails look gorgeous, and in a timely manner - use Jessica or Mandy! They are so great at gel manicures! I also love Nails 2000 plus Carlsbad because they give you a rewards program punch card that will give you $5 off your 5th time at the salon and a free manicure the 10th time at the salon. I went to visit this place today and got a special spa pedicure. The regular spa pedicure is $21 but I decided to upgrade and get a few extras like the foot mask and scrub which came out to $31 total. And the massage was about an hour long, it was very relaxing and the woman was very diligent. This place was very nice and clean and the women didn't try to upsell you on things you didn't want.
