So I will preface this by saying I actually met one of the nail stylists while driving for Lyft. With that being said I'm always up for checking out new businesses and was certainly not disappointed. Even with this time of Covid and uncertainty these folks took all the necessary precautions. From making masks mandatory, checking temperatures, to washing hands upon entry, and the partitions between the artist and the patron. Sure, does anyone like wearing a mask for an hour? No, of course not. However I felt very safe and secure there. My appointment was with Annie and she was great. She took care of making sure I was super happy with everything she was doing and I walked out feeling like a new person. Can't wait to go back for a little more pampering next time. read more

I came in today (Monday, July 6th) to get a pedicure and a gel- fill in. The place was empty, and they were able to take me quickly. The pedicure was fine, nothing to get excited about. My nails on the other hard, look atrocious. I asked for a natural rounded shape. My nails are actually shaped more like shrek. They are thick, and a lot of them are u even -- thick on one side, thin on the other. The guy flooded my cuticles and couldn't be bothered to try cleaning up the color that ended up on my skin. The staff was nice, and the salon seemed clean, but that's about the extent of the pros. I'll be getting my nails redone as soon as I can get home, but that's if I don't get a gel allergic reaction from having my cuticles flooded first. read more

I was recommended here by a friend and I have to say I was not disappointed the first day with the pedicures. The Spanish woman was great however by visit 3 she was gone. Red flag 1. It's conveniently located in a small plaza with ample parking. It seemed very clean and spacious but it's always empty. Oddly every time I went out, no matter day or time, was always empty with maybe 1 or 2 customers in the store - my being one. Red flag 2. I also noticed the staff seem very uptight when the owner lady (I think her name is Tammy) is there. Not as much when the husband Tony is. It's like she breathes down their necks coming in and out front from the back where she can hear or watch what's going on mid conversation with customer. I once had her do my nails and I didn't like something she was doing and questioned it and asked she not do it... she reacted very insulted and laughing off that I didn't know what I wanted. She couldn't let it go and after a while I was completely turned off by her lack of care in what I was seeking. They speak Vietnamese but what they don't realize is that I have an app that translates live on my cell since I work globally. She was talking so much trash to her husband and to another staff about me and another person. They also did away with their points program without notice to customers and parents but according to staff it isn't even real and never honored. They have cameras everywhere and she watches her staff from behind scenes and listens to customers. She was definitely listening to a conversation I had about brow tinting with my pedicurist because she later was trying to convince me to let her tint my brows. It was so strange They recently hired an excellent manicurist and pedicurist. He's EXCELLENT (tino) but it's only a matter of time that she will drive him away too so I'll wait for him to go somewhere else. It's clear they run a toxic environment. If their customers and staff can't stay committed that says a lot. I've been there a total of 6 times and every single time the lady is on top of everyone including her customers. Unprofessional and rude. My mother and I went in for a fill in. Once our services began, the woman working on my mother's nails just up and left her multiple times. She put builder gel on top of acrylic. The next day one of my mother's nails popped off so she went back to have it fixed. The woman told her she didn't have time to fix it and set her at the end with another person. They then used acrylic to fix her now gel nail. While she was getting it fixed, a lady came in asking for a full set. The man working on my mother's nails then left her to start on that person. Finally after over an hour to fix ONE nail, she was charged $6. Poor quality. Poor service. Poor attitude Will never go back. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

Two weeks later my gel nails still look amazing--a lot of times I have problems keeping them in, but these are still looking great. The pedicure was awesome too. I REALLY wanted to like this place. The employees are mostly pretty fun and friendly. The nails, however, came out TERRIBLE. I asked for thin nails, super square....I got rounded corners and the thickest nail I've EVER had in my life. They are lumpy and crooked. I have been in Wilmington for approximately 7 months and have tried several nail salons and they were not very clean. Been searching for the perfect salon and I thought I found it in Queen Nail. The place was incredibly clean and employees were efficient. I would have given them a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the time to pay. I got a manicure and pedicure and the price was comparable to the other places, but when I went to pay with my debit card, the lady (not sure if she was the owner) said do you have cash. I responded no, but I do have cash for the tip. She said I will take your card but for future, payment is cash only. I said I didn't see any signs on this, just tips are cash only. I was a bit annoyed. I know that everyone is struggling due to COVID and inflation, but a business is a business and debit and credit cards should be accepted. I moved to Wilmington from Chicago during the pandemic and waited as long as I possibly could to get my toe nails done. It had been months and it was NOT pretty! I planned to get a pedicure only ... I was nervous about getting a manicure because of the need to be so close to the technician. No worries here, though. I called for an appointment. When I arrived during my scheduled time I was asked to fill out a form stating that I felt well, had not been around anyone who had tested Covid positive, etc, and my temperature was taken. I was asked to wash my hands there were instructions posted on the wall by the sink to do a thorough job. The nail tech. Sanitized and cleaned the station and was wearing a medical mask ( everyone there was) . There was a plexiglass screen between the two of us and great care was made to keep me very safe. I am in the medical field and felt very safe at this place. I Decided to get a gel manicure AND a pedicure and I am so happy I did. The gentleman did an excellent job and I could not be more pleased! I am very picky! There was only one other customer there and she was getting a pedicure far from me. I heard her say as she paid " thank you so much! Another review talked about how comfortable they were with the cleaning, masks, and barriers. We can only agree! We had a great experience and felt very safe here.
