When it comes to spending money on my nails, there has never been any budget. I will spend any cost on what I want and I am a girl who gets very simple designs. I started coming to this place because of a lady who not only did great work, but was very sweet and kind to me. Today I had the worst experience I've ever had as customer at any nail salon I've been to. The nail technician, My (is her name), was so rude to me after me expressing my dislike of the nail design I asked her for. I asked if there was something else more simpler would could try she told me "no" and that I "wasted her time" Then she asked "you pay for what if I take it off" I said "money isn't the issue for me I'll pay whatever but this isn't something I like." And showed her another photo of something simpler we could do instead. She agreed. And tried to make me choose the color SHE wanted me to do. I asked if they had other colors for me to choose from she said "no" and I kept asking "what do you mean no?" Then after telling me no 3x that I could not choose the color I wanted to choose from my chrome she then goes to get the chrome color choices I've been asking for and hands them to me. After she hands the to me she immediately tell me to "leave and go somewhere else" I asked "so you don't want to do my nails anymore?" She said "no. If you know someone else somewhere else go to them." I have never in my yearssss of getting my nails done experienced this type of disrespect. Especially as a paying customer who told her that money wasn't an issue and that we could do something simple on my nails that made her feel more comfortable. They have forever lost my business. My experience here was fine. Kim was kind but my manicure was not clean like it should be after a manicure, like around my cuticles. The gel was lumpy, a bit messy, and had some noticeable bubbles. Overall did not have a bad experience but I wouldn't recommend coming here for a gel manicure. read more

During the "excellent service" the clear polish started bubbling and they didn't know what happened, they covered over and over again and now my nails look like PLAY-DOH! I was getting my nails done and didn't really like the shape. I wanted to ask if they could change it, so I called my husband to get his opinion, and he didn't like the shape either. The nail technician got upset and didn't want to remove the nails, even though they were only glued on without acrylic. I started feeling anxious, and even though she said I could just leave, I stayed because I was already there and my sister was still getting her nails done. So I ended up letting her continue with the service. Overall, I would not recommend going back. The experience made me uncomfortable, and it felt unwelcoming. read more

Unless you're white or have a go to nail tech, you will be discriminated against and given poorer treatment. This is not the same salon that we have been coming to for years. It's new/ different people. I was told to wait long for a nail tech "so they can find someone who can do my color better" when I didn't even ask for a color. If you're a POC and or young they're gonna give you to the guy nail tech. Don't even bring your kids to the kiddie area they're rough on their nails. read more

Had pedicure by someone who did not seem well trained. Gave it 24 hours to consider whether or not to return and have the problems corrected. When I arrived, I very discreetly and kindly explained my problem with person at front desk. Was handed off to another person in the back who had no idea why I was there and could not seem to understand what I was saying. I then left because my whole goal was to resolve this discreetly and professionally. It did not go well on their end. I've been to the salon on and off several times over the years and i have never had a really good pedicure there, but still give it a try every once in a while. I was a fan of this place until today. Their prices were always too high, but the quality of work was good. Today, I made an appointment with my mom who came into town for my daughter's 4th birthday party for two pedicures and a dip set. They offered course took the appointment. My toes were almost finished and no one was available for nails. I made an appointment because my time was limited and I was paying for a sitter at home. I asked for them to do be done together. After asking, they wasted more time and finally got Someone over to take off the old set. By this time my toes were almost completed and I didn't want to sit for another 1-1/2 hours. They told me appointments got precedence, well I had one. Then the tech started to soak them off and then wanted me to wait for the top coat on my toes to dry and then move me to her table for her convenience. Never asked me if that was ok nor finished what she started until my toes were done. I was so irritated by their excuses and lack of professionalism, I left. They should not take an appointment if they don't have the time or people. Who wants to wait in a chair for 3 hours to get their toes and nails done. I'm so annoyed and will never go back. Besides, there are tons of equally good places near by that don't overprice everything. I wouldn't bother going to this overpriced and lacking customer service establishment. Heather is an amazing nail tech and always does a phenomenal job and if this review was specifically about her.... It would be 10 stars. So if you are going to come here...... request Heather!! However since undergoing new management I've had to go to other places. If you have an appointment... be prepared to wait. The owner gives the nail techs walk ins within 30 minutes of your appointment and then makes you (and other regulars) wait. It didn't happen once.... But at least 5 times within the last couple of months. They also call you 10 mins before your appointment asking you to come 1 hour later and blame it on the nail tech when they were the ones that gave the nail tech a walk in. I've gone to this salon for upwards of 7 years and ever since the new management took over it's has been ridiculous. read more

Gel manicure was the worst I have ever had. Pedicure sucked. Only went because they had good reviews. My nails were not evenly polished & it looks like I got them painted two weeks ago. My toenails looked like I painted them myself & I don't think they even trimmed the dead skin around my nails off. Will not be going back. read more

A clean, well managed nail salon is hard to find. Found my neighborhood gem right here at Nails and Spa on Rayford (next to Kroger and Massage Envy). First you're greeted by a friendly host who is quick to discuss what you need and get you lined up with the appropriate technician. Prices are listed on the menus and lots of options are available from basic painting to more deluxe spa pedicure treatments. The nail stations are clean and the pedicure basins are individually lined each time for a clean, sanitary start. The entire salon has a clean feel to it. Then the technicians- they're great! I personally LOVE Lena who's been doing my nails for a while. She's careful to not cut or burn, she talks to you about different options and- my favorite part, she can do some amazing designs for you... much more than the standard flower or heart. Many of the ladies that work here are talented artists and if you let the hostess know you want a design she'll make sure to put you with the right person. I often bring a pic I found online and have good success in them re-creating it on my nails. I recommend you give Nails & Spa of TX a try. I'd say ask for Lena... but then she might be too busy for me! read more

Quality of service has really gone down hill here. It seems like they're just trying to feel their chairs rather than hiring good, reputable nail techs. The guy I went to didn't bother checking nail length to make sure they even match up which and the lengths ended up being completely off. On top of that the refill itself was was horrible, it had lines and bumps on almost every nail which i couldn't really tell until the polish was on. They tried to blame it on it being a different color being picked but when I told them I've had the same color for the past few months, their response was "are you sure" (I have a picture of the nail color number I get, i was sure). They did offer to redo the set but their response and attitude was just really off-putting and I'd rather just wipe my hands of this place and move on, this is after 3-4 poor experiences might I add. I have been to this location many times and I've only been satisfied once. I always get dip nails and pedicures with regular polish. Almost every time the nail technician doing my pedicure asks multiple times if I'd like to upgrade my pedicure. Today I said no twice and was asked again and finally gave in because I felt uncomfortable. In regards to the dip nails, I have gotten them at least 7+ times because I've gone through the stamp card they have multiple times. The first time was the best my nails have ever looked and I believe the lady's name was Tina. Since then, every time I've gone back they have not done what I asked in terms of length and shape. Today was by far the worst my nails have ever looked. I agreed to more of a rounded nail, but they are squared off and EXTREMELY lumpy. I have used this exact color in the past, so I know it's no the formula. It also took over 1.5 hours.. When the technician was finished he asked a colleague to come look and they spoke to each other about my nails because it was obvious they don't look good. It sucks I paid over $100 for a mani and pedi and I'm going to have to pay more money tomorrow somewhere else to get them fixed. I would not recommend this location to anyone and I will not be back. Today was the second time I tried Nails of America. I decided to go because it is close to my job. The first time I went the gentleman that did my feet was very personable and held conversations with me and did a good job. The only thing was that he kept getting up to do other things while doing my pedicure so a normal 1 hour pedicure took 1 hour and 45 minutes. I was annoyed but my feet looked and felt good. Today I went again and was very disappointed. I signed in at the tablet and I was told that it would be a 20 minute wait for a pedicure. I told her I was going to go to Kroger and I would be right back. I returned 15 minutes later expecting to be ready to go. Instead I took a seat and waiting 10 minutes. At that time another customer entered and asked how long the wait was. I told her I was told 20 minutes and I have been waiting about 20 minutes. At that time we were asked to come to a pedicure chair. We sat at a chair with no water in it waiting for someone to come after another 15-20 minutes of waiting we decided to leave. No one asked or said anything as we left. The establishment is clean, you can choose to wear a mask if you want and they have a decent amount of polish to choose from. You also get wine or mimosas with your pedicure. It's a nice place but the customer service could be better. read more

Maybe I am beyond spoiled by the prices I got back in my home state, but my goodness to the cost of my services here. $27 for a basic pedicure - white tips $40 for shellac manicure - white tips $8 for eyebrow waxing So my pedicure was pretty thorough, nothing special your basic pedicure (add 5 bucks for the white tips). Probably the most enjoyable moment was me getting to watch the food network channel on the flat screen. Another young lady had started my manicure while I was sitting in the massage chair receiving my pedicure. I have to say I don't like this. I know they try to rush to get you done and I appreciate that part but when you start occupying all my limbs while I'm trying to relax its like a clumsy mess. I did however like that they put a disposable toe separator on and my sandals after my pedicure was finished. Now on the shellac manicure, these have always been the best choice for me because I generally am pretty hard on my hands and this type of manicure holds up better (roughly three weeks or well was the case with prior experiences). So with my Girls Vegas trip coming up I figured this was a wise choice (again there is an extra charge for white tips). Sadly these didn't even last through Vegas, I danced/clubbed them off, ha. Not really sure why they failed, oii. Basic eyebrow wax, was kinda disappointed she didn't even make sure they were fully cleaned up, just wax, remove, done. If I'm short for time, since this is so close to home I think I would only return here out of convenience. read more

Came in here yesterday for a shellac manicure. My manicurist was very sweet and did a thorough job. I was really impressed considering my friend and I went in 20 minutes before close. What got me about this place was the staff. Now, I'm Vietnamese and I understand all the Vietnamese talk. Usually it doesnt bother me because they'll just gossip about each other's lives. But there was a male employee who made me especially uncomfortable. He kept saying I was pretty and bothered me about my life. Asked if I had a lover. I usually brush that kind of thing off but he grabbed one of his coworkers ass right in front of me in which she called him a perv. Now, this just made me really uncomfortable. Might I add he also got in my personal bubble when he asked me about my life. Lets just say, weird and creepy. I might return to this place if that guy isn't there. I usually love coming here an never had problems. Today... it was all downhill. I got a 10 minute up charge for pedi and of those minutes, the lady working on me was so busy chatting with her coworkers in Vietnamese that it was almost frustrating sitting there. Being pregnant, my feet hurt and I decided a pedi would be great. The normal foot rub I usually get is great. This one not only didn't last that long but I paid more just to listen to the ladies chat away in vietnamese. Yea.. grumpy when I left. She just told everyone I was pregnant in Vietnamese so she took her time and she really didn't. So disappointed. I got one towel wrap and a mini scrub with the spa pedi. I had a mani/pedi done here once before about a year ago and had a fantastic experience. I don't get my nails done very often, so when I went in today for a mani/pedi in preparation for my wedding shower tomorrow, I was looking forward to treating myself. However, the experience was totally unpleasant and I am still in shock that my bill was $100. -I was hardly acknowledged by either nail technician that worked with me, and every time I said anything to them it went ignored (from saying hello to asking not to fold my pants a certain way to pointing out that the gel machine hadn't been turned on because they were too busy chatting with each other). I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time I was there because of this. -When my nails were being filed, she literally swatted my hand each time she moved to the next finger. Just plain rude. -This may be petty, but I am bothered by the fact that when using lotion, both nail technicians took the bottles from the cart and loudly squirted it on my arms and legs. If I'm paying $100 for this service you can do better than that. -For the massage that I paid for as part of the manicure package I chose, I received warm wet towels vigorously scrubbed up and down my arms. I was actually embarrassed at this point to still be inside this place. -When finishing up my pedicure, the technician kept dipping the brush in the jar and wiping the excess ON MY FOOT instead of the towel. Why??? -Only 5 hours after leaving the salon, I already have a chip in my gel manicure. Safe to say I will never be back. read more

First time here and did not have any serious issues. I was seated right away and got my shellac manicure. I had Tina who was very friendly and chatty. She Offered me water right away, fixed the pillow on the chair and pulled the chair out for me, and also made small talk. One thing though, she touched my eyebrows and said I needed to get them waxed. Um, please don't touch my eyebrows, and I know how to up keep my eyebrows, they do not need waxing. This place is amazing! I got the royal treatment - Tina's pedi and Vanessa's shellac mani were totally worth it. They helped me pick the perfect grey color for a fall wedding. I love that they use plastic liners for the pedicure tub and disposable kits (buffer, pumice, file) so you know it's clean! My favorite part was the stone massage and light exfoliating scrub on both arms and legs. The owner was around that morning and even offered me wine. I had to decline bc we had plans for lunch at the new Fogo de Chao... which was also bomb. One week later and my nails still look great. Worth every penny! #treatyoself read more

This place is huge, I don't think I have ever seen a nail salon with so many chairs. It's crazy. In line with some of the other reviews, I do think it's over priced. I don't know if it's because of the area or because their rent is probably higher because it's so big, but I'm not used to paying an arm and a leg for a mani/pedi. My pedicure was great, I expected more of a massage for the price, but other than that they did a great job on my toes. The shellac manicure was ok. I don't like it when they do the tag team thing, because it does take away from enjoying the pedicure I feel. I think they should probably ask you before just assuming you're in a rush and want to skip on out of there. Two of my nails also chipped the next day, and the others aren't holding up very well either and it's only been a week. I'm not sure what caused this, but it's rather frustrating. Drove a little farther than normal to check this place out. I made an appointment for me and my in-laws for both a mani and a pedi. When we went, all three of us had two techs each! It was perfect! I don't agree with the post below about two techs taking up your limbs. Usually, we have one tech that first does the pedi, then does the mani, and that takes forever. It didn't seem at all like rushing, more like respecting my time. I loved the fact that the techs paid attention to us instead of what I'm used to... the techs talking to each other. The place was very clean, and the butterfly chairs for little girls was too cute! Maybe i'll bring my goddaughter very soon! She'd love it! My father-in-law had particular directions for his pedi, and the tech spent extra time to make sure he was happy. He's a pretty picky guy, so I'm glad we have found a place he likes. read more

I want to start with the positives, the front desk staff is nice and they do a good job, it's clean and pretty easy to get an appointment. Now what I disliked about my experiences, they give you a price sheet for the different options - great. Their basic pedi starts at $35. The entire time I was trying to relax during my pedi the lady was constantly up selling to me. Do you want to add wax -$6? A design -$10? Eyebrow wax? I have no problem saying no, but it was so much that I could not relax or carry on a conversation with my friend. So your $35 pedi ends up being $60 if you aren't paying attention. I went back a second time to see if it was maybe just the person who gave me my pedi but no, same experience. I have had a ton of pedicures in my life and know what I want when I go in, I don't like having a salesperson in front of me for 45 minutes. Due to this reason I will go elsewhere and enjoy my relaxing pedicure in peace. read more
