These ladies are amazing! I was in town for a work related thing and had some old pink glitter polish on from my vacation a month earlier. It did not look good. I barely got there before they closed but they took care of me and I had one of the best mani/pedis. When one of the women there realized that I might have to walk to my hotel she even offered to give me a ride, which I totally would have taken her up on if I didn't need to get dinner on the way. I've been trying to find a new pedicure place in Sandy. After 3 attempts at Dazzle Nails I was recommended here. I had an excellent pedicure at Nails and Style. I got the most expensive pedicure and it did not disappoint! But the best was the detail that the stylist put into the pedicure. She made sure every nail was cared for with fine detail. So excited that this nail salon is open. I really needed my nails done... mom did too. I called and they were able to accommodate us the same day!!! Snow took the call and was gracious. She shared her humor and made the call light. Obviously a people person. She welcomed us to the salon as well and got my mom started with her gel manicure. Kim finished my mom's nails. Mom's were in poor shape so she had to go very short but they look lovely. Sandy did mine and was meticulous. She got my shape perfect without asking until she had already shaped them. She spent her time without feeling rushed and never once was I concerned about her filing too much or tearing my cuticles. The pineapple oil they use on hands smells divine... There's a restroom in here and a wax room as well. Acrylic fill with gel overlay was $35... Moms gel manicure was $30. Fairly average pricing. Sno and her girls do a great job of making me feel like I can really come in and be in a relaxed environment that isn't tight lipped and leaving me wondering what they are talking about in Vietnamese. Cindy and Kim have put up with my shenanigans for years, between working two jobs , being a single mom and needing things done without an appointment or outside of normal business hours, she is pretty accommodating. Honestly, everyone is always going to like and dislike something but I would rather go somewhere with women I know are working each day for a purpose. They need more praise than they get most times. read more

I went with my friend to this salon and the whole time it felt very rushed. For the both of us the total was $115. The girl who did my nails did a decent job id say, but the woman who did my friends nails did her so dirty, and she took longer too! I was about to just tell my friend to walk out and not pay because what the heck! but my friend is too kind and decided to pay anyways because the woman complained about how she doesn't get paid enough, but that's no excuse to not do the job right. You're supposed to walk out the salon feeing good not embarrassed!! also the woman claimed that she worked with nails for 20 years but didn't know how to do an easy coffin nail design, so my friend settled for just one basic color to make it easy... are you kidding. I was in at the end of Sept. 2017 and had my nails done in a french style gel polish (or shellac). I've been going here off and on. The owner Snow did my nails. I asked her to re-do the white part because it was half way down my nail (which she prefers) and I prefer it only on my natural tip. I think it look funny the other way. So it comes time to pay and I pull out my $25.00 gift certificate. She tells me that the price is $30.00. WHAT! It was $20.00 last time I had it done. So a couple weeks later I got to thinking and decided to call for prices. Snow answered the phone and said regular gel polish is $20.00 and the french gel polish is now $25.00. The women at this salon were very nice and I am very hesitant to give a negative review in hard times. But when it came to safety it was the most uncomfortable post-Covid experience I have had with a business. One of the two women was wearing her mask consistently below her nose, even after I asked her directly if she would pull it up. At one point while doing our pedicures she took the mask off completely for several minutes. I felt somewhat trapped in terms of not being able to move away and very uncomfortable with the careless mask use. I am trying to support local businesses during this hard time and this was an unnecessary splurge, but I would love to see them taking health precautions more seriously for both clients and staff. read more

Okay, I am with Hollis W. I have tried and tried to give them my business and there is only 1 lady there that is actually friendly and accommodating! Last time she wasn't there...I should have turned around. The other lady that helped me was SO rude! All I wanted was a brow wax. She took me back and got the process going then... She asks "you tweeze your brow?" I said "not really. I have before but I don't tweeze" She says "what you mean, you have but you don't?" really snotty I said "I mean that I have tweezed by brows in the past but I do not tweeze them now" She says (sarcastically) "Ohhhhh..." Then I get up front to pay...the charge is fair at $10. I tell her I only have debit which it clearly says that they take it and I know plenty of people who do not carry cash for many reasons. She says "next time bring cash" I said "okkkaaayyy" She says "It work better for us" What the heck!? I wanted to say "well, debit works better for me" WE will not be back! This was the last straw for us. Other times they have totally butchered my daughters nails and tried to tell her she should like them. There is such a language barrier in there that you have to bring a photo of what you want. One time my daughter wanted rhinestones and they said they didn't have them and they used SILVER GLITTER POLISH!! My daughter got rhinestones there before and had them take the glitter off. Stop trying to talk people into what YOU want them to have!!! And stop trying to take the lazy way out. read more

I usually go to another salon but due to Portland to Coast, I was out of town until Sunday so I had to try a new salon. I called ahead and asked if they do dip manicure and they said yes. I went in right away as they had an opening. They do have dip but I am just not sure if it is the quality of the dip or if she didn't make them thick enough. I immediately broke one two hours later opening an eyeshadow. Not normal. I have been getting dip for 2 years. I went back with limited time before my baby shower and she fixed the broken one but did like 4 coats so it is way darker than all the rest. By the end of my baby shower, all the original 9 looked dull and just overall not a very good job. I added my own clear coat last night and now this morning another chunk broke off on my other thumb. Dip should be hard to break and I don't even know how this happened which tells me something is not quite right. I paid $45 and am just not happy with them at all. I was glad she fixed the one before my baby shower though. I just will not be going back. I feel like it was a waste of money as it has only been two days and usually my dip mani lasts 3 weeks with no chips or issues. She also cut me and continued to nail file the cut which hurt and I watched several pedis with no liner unless asked. Not my cup of tea. read more

OK, I tried and tried to give them my business..... I like to "Shop Local" and they are in the heart of downtown Sandy... alas - never a good experience. They have a constant turnover of staff (management?), they have poor hygiene in the waxing department, they seem totally bored and uninterested in the patrons, talking amongst themselves in Vietnamese, have the TV on loud, on really bad shows... need I go on? Sorry, but try another local nail shop - this one has proven to be a disappointment. I have given them their last chance. read more

I've been here twice. First time it was very busy and packed with people, but still got in right away. second time I was the only person and the guy who owns the shop did my nails. He was pretty nice and freindly, a little bit of a language barrier but still kept up a conversation. Both times my nails turned out great! I get the shellac done. I like to 'shop local' as another user said. I live in sandy and on a sunday spur of the moment decided i want to go get a shellac manicure for 4th of july. I know there are jokes about asian people and nail salons, but the language barrier was so bad i couldn't understand anything they said. i asked multiple times before i let them even touch me if they could do american or 4th of july, red and blue stars, etc. They always say "yes yes yes" and then they go to do it and it looks horrible. For the first time ever i actually asked for the two flag nails to be redone and it still only turned out good enough for me to pay her, but bad enough that i will never go back. Even the other 8 nails that were simply painted red were done sloppily. Even though they are close i will never go back. I did make it in there at the perfect time to get sat down, then had a mad rush of about 8 people with only 2 workers, so she painted my nails and then left. Painted another coat then left. 1 manicure took me an hour and a half and the manicure part of it was not even enough to mention. Very disappointed. read more
