I tried to go to this salon today for a pedicure and I was turned away. The salon was open and completely empty. They claimed they could not take me due to scheduled appointments. They made no attempt to share any additional availability or book a later appointment. After I was refused service, I called the salon from my car and attempted to book an appointment as a new client. On the phone they did not mention any appointment issues and they said I could come in right away. I'm a Black/African-American woman, and it is clear they were not too booked to take me for a simple pedicure. The salon just did not want (or care) to patronize me in their establishment. I'm 33 years old, and in my life I have never ever been refused service or treated with such overt prejudice. My advice - if you are Black, a person of color, or if you care about people who are Black or POC, do not come here. read more

My Grandma and I have visited Lovely Nails several times over the last few months for mani/pedis. The staff are always very friendly, and each time they have done a *lovely* job on our nails! We have never been disappointed. On top of that, they are doing a good job of minimizing COVID exposure by screening upon entry and disinfecting between clients. I want to mention that they are good with my Grandma as well - she is slow moving and has fragile skin, and they are patient and make adjustments as needed to give her a pleasant experience. I can't say the same for some of the other places we've been to. Thank you to Kim and everyone else at Lovely Nails for providing such a fun and personable place for my Grandma and I to spend time together! We will keep coming back. read more

The nail tech refused to fix the shape of my nails after I asked multiple times, so they ended not close to the shape I wanted. After clarifying the price at the beginning of the appointment ($25) I was told at the end that it would be $40, and she wouldn't explain why she changed the price. She tried to claim that it was because of shape (which wasn't even the shape I asked for) and color (??). Overall not a great experience which is a bummer since this place is located so close to my house. This is all in addition to having to call 4 times in order to make an appointment because the guy wouldn't take his mask off to speak into the phone and kept mumbling and hanging up. read more

This little nail shop is the best in Sandy and Gresham and I'll tell you why. Not only do they offer water and tea as well as know how to give you any shape your asking for, but they also go above and beyond to make sure you leave HAPPY with your nails. I am very very picky and I speak up when there needs to be a little filing here or there. Some nail salons get offended or don't try to understand what I'm asking for but not this one. They don't scoff at the request but fulfill it until your satisfied. I've had my nails done by both the woman and man here and they both do great. Be vocal, bring pictures and you will not be dissapointed! read more

If I can give 0 star rating We would!! My poor mother had a HORRIBLE experience with the Owner Kim and Tony! I dropped off my mother to get her nails done, it was her first time here..Tony was RUDE but insisted to my mom she can get her nails filled. Out comes KIM rude and already having an attitude with my mom pretty much throwing the nail color selection to her and telling her to pick a color. Once mom sat down, she requested KIM to have a gentle touch on her...well just by telling KIM that...KIM went ballistic and told my poor mother off!! which by the way my mom is handicap, disabled and on Oxygen! She told my mom she had to get up and leave that she wasn't going to work on my moms nails and that she didn't take walkins! Thats a lie! Just because my mom asked for gentleness! Well, my mom took a seat while she waited for me to pick her up but KIM got annoyed by having my mom there that she called the police on my mother!!!! Wthell! Obviously the kind Sandy Police officer thought that KIM was crazy because he apologized to my mom for Kims behavior and offered to drive my mom home! Don't support this local company!!! She mistreated my disabled my mother!! But kudos to Armando the officer that was a sweetheart to my mom!! read more

Today was my first time back since the lock down due to the COVID19 virus. Kim did my nails with gel polish and did a fine job. Afterward she said, oh, the price has gone up. She said the cost of the Gel polish had gone up. Prior to this it was $18.00 to get Gel polish (I don't get the manicure or anything else with it). But, the price went up to $25.00!! Does that make sense to anyone? An addition $7.00 due to the price increase of Gel polish? I don't think so. Now if she's trying to recover after being closed for so long, I could understand that. That would make sense. A temp. raise in the cost of services would make sense. But, the reason she gave made no sense. Which means she lied to me and I can not tolerate liars. I will be going elsewhere unfortunately. read more

I don't have a problem making an appointment-- but if you're advertising on the door that you accept walk-ins, I feel like the wait should be a little shorter. We made an appointment for 10:30 am for a deluxe shellac manicure and a separate deluxe shellac pedicure for the same time. We walked in and all the manicure stations possible with the staff that were there were full, applying fake nails and performing a pedicure in one of the other stations. They didn't start my moms manicure until 11:10am. They didn't start my pedicure until 11:15am. A full 45 minutes after the appointment time made. With that being said, my deluxe pedicure with Thao was AMAZING! She did everything that was advertised on the sheet, including the 15 minute massage, which in my opinion, doesn't happen at very many nail places. I'll be going back, but being cautious of making appointment times that aren't being kept. read more

I so wanted to love this place so I don't have to go Gresham or Happy Valley. Pretty typical salon with limited polish and powder dip colors. After a week my thumb nails (powder) chipped and they guy blamed me saying I must have hit them. Then after buffing them for an extended period of time, tells me my nails are thin. Took my daughter in for a fill on her nails done elsewhere. I got a regular manicure, everything turned out just fine. My daughters nails Done by a male, absolutely horrible. He kept hurting her fingers then kept touching the polish accidentally when he was painting her nails leaving blemishes. To top it off he tried to put her under the drier with the mistakes. My girlfriend suggested we get pedicures here, and I figured there was no harm in letting someone cut my nails and rub my feet. BIG MISTAKE!! A few days after my pedicure my big toe is all red, swollen, and hurts like hell! Apparently I got a nasty infection from their filthy equipment! This really sucks as I'm on my feet a lot of work and keep active at the gym. Fellas, don't let this place near your feet! read more

After reading lots of reviews I was excited to try this place out. Unfortunately the end result wasn't anything to rave about. My pedicure had transparent spots in multiple areas. My shellac mani chipped and peeled straight off in less than a week. I also had to clean up my mani once I got home as there was tons of colored and clear polish all around my nails on my skin. I will say their customer service is exceptional and honestly would go back and just pay for a leg massage. That part was exceptional! read more

There are only 3 or 4 nail salons in Sandy, OR and this was the only salon I'd never tried. I went bc the reviews were pretty good. Never going back... the owners were nice enough but it wasn't clean and when I first got to the salon, on a weekend in the later afternoon it wasn't busy, no one was there except me and the lady owner was in their back room doing food prep of some sort.. grating some sort of vegetable and speaking in Vietnamese on the phone... not professional at all. I got a pedicure and hadn't brought flip flops with me- decided last minute to get a pedicure. After the pedi and before getting my nails done she put some mans flip flops on me while my toes dried! I was freaked out!! They were obviously someone's flip flops! They weren't clean and were way too big.... usually nail salons use a clean towel for you to put your feet on while your toe nail polish dries and you get your nails done. Totally freaky and weird. Grossed me out!! My shellac mani looked horrible. She did a horrible job on my cuticles and paint. She was rushing because they were getting ready to close. She also tried to get me to buy some nail repair gel they sell. I asked how much it was and after 3 tries still had no clue what she was saying. Poor English! Don't recommend this place. read more

Just a warning to others I got a pedicure here the other day and now I have what appears to be an infection on one of my toes. It is very painful swollen and red and is not improving. I'm worried about the cleanliness of the tools used. I will not be returning to this salon and probably won't ever get a pedicure again after this experience. read more

I got a fill and my friend got a new set of acrylics. We had called the day before and made an appointment and asked about prices. We were told it was $20 for a fill and $25 for a new set. Our appointment was at 2 and we got there about 10 minutes early. We got in at about 2:30 my friend went first and I waited another 10 minutes for someone to get done so I could get my fill. She was really rough and working fast because they were a little behind. She scraped my skin while removing the polish several times and actually broke skin once. My thumb nails are slanted at the top she didn't check to see if they were straight and she got the polish all around my nails. When we went to pay the guy said my friends nails were $35. We said we called and asked and the lady said it was only $25. He said it was FIVE DOLLARS FOR THE SHAPE. $5?? For shape?? That's ridicules. I didn't hear what he said the other $5 was but the other lady said something to him and he ended up only paying $25. I won't be coming back. read more
