I followed Hue here from another salon because she's so awesome. She does a great job and she's fun to talk to.

You ever go to a restaurant and the food is great, but the service is awful? That's basically the…read moresame situation you'll receive here. I had been seeing Julie for close to a year and a half because her work was good. The past 6 months, the customer service began to go downhill. A warm welcome wasn't there, her studio started becoming more unclean at each visit and she would constantly complain about how tired she was and vent about her life troubles. I even started bringing in my own nail supplies because I never saw her clean any of her tools. Ever. When I arrived at our last visit, she was under the weather and rushed through our appointment. She had cancelled 2 appointments more recently last minute (30 minutes to an hour prior to my appointment time) and today was the 3rd and final time. It's obvious girlfriend is burnt out already in her short time as a business owner. I won't return and encourage future guests as a heads up that there are other amazing nail techs out there who won't take advantage of your time, will happily provide amazing service and great work. You just won't find that here.

Used to go to her all the time. She started at a salon off El Paseo (she should have stayed there)…read more She eventually branched off to her own business, which is great... However, she has bailed on every appointment I have tried to book with her. I stopped going to her when she cancelled me and decided to give her another chance and she cancelled on my again haha. I had this appointment booked for almost an entire month. She didn't even try and get me in for another time slot. I am happy for her that she has her own business/ salon now... but she is VERY unprofessional in this matter. I am NOT returning to her. Just be prepared when you book with her - that she will likely cancel on you the day of. DO NOT GO TO HER. Old Town Nails (in old town la Quinta) is great. Go there and request Christina. She does AMAZING nail art. Or go to Nails World!! They are professional and never cancel on ya :)

I had requested gel tips & a pedicure as a walk in client. The manicurist told me I was getting…read moreacrylic nails. The girl who did my pedicure put some odd liquid base coat on my toe nails and stained my natural nail bed pink and also a new fungus appeared after she took the polish off. After I was told I was getting acrylics he put the powder on super thick. It just wasn't what I asked for. This is the second time I got nail fungus from their polish. The first time was with gel polish on the toes and now it was regular polish. I'm a pretty good tipper but I don't think this place is at all cleanly. I'm not going back. They need to replace and buy new polish frequently and I know they don't.

Came here sporadically because we were in town and wanted to get pedicures. Place is clean however…read moreweren't greeted at the door. I had Tracy and she was very good. I HIGHLY recommend going with her if you want someone to pay attention to detail. She gave a phenomenal foot massage as well. The issue was that even after 1-2 hours after the pedicure my child stepped on my foot and it completely printed on my nail. Also my friend had a different person doing her nails (someone with glasses) and she did a terrible job and I would have been throughly disappointed if I had her - she completely skipped the base coat and was rushing through the whole process and when she brought it up the person was arguing with her. Ridiculous.

Got a set of 3 manicures, 2 were acrylic and 1 was just gel polish with designs and charms. Pricey!…read morePaid a total of $236. Both acrylic sets were beautifully done but one was a bit rough around the cuticles. The other set with no acrylic was not good. The given set was not what was asked for and they had an inspiration picture to follow. Highly disappointing on that portion. The people also weren't so talkative or anything. As I prefer the non-acrylic sets, I would NOT come back.

I went in to get some Gel X nails done . The lady was so incredibly kind , I enjoyed her as a…read moreperson but as my nail tech I was left pretty disappointed. She was incredibly truthful and admitted to not being able to do what I originally wanted so I changed the look . After a couple minutes I changed it again for something more simple as to not take her out of her comfort zone . The first red flag was her just cutting and dehydrating the nail but not doing any cuticle work . For how expensive the place is you'd think they'd clean up the nail before starting . I had to ask to get my cuticles cleaned up . Cool she did them awesome . Stabbed me twice with the cuticle cutters and noticed she hasn't replaced any of the tools she was using from the girl she had just helped before me, this was worrisome because like I said she stabbed me with a tool that she could have been stabbing someone else with leading to infection. I let it go as she was very sweet and I figured maybe she's just a bit tired . She gets to gluing the nails down and they are completely messed up , one nails going to the right while the other is going to the left they just looked a whole mess . I had to ask her to please re do the placement as they looked terrible . We're moving forward alls good , until the drill she's using starts to burn my cuticles more than once ... Now we're putting the color on and everything is going good until an appointment of hers shows up and she starts rushing what she's doing . I'll place a reference picture underneath to show what I wanted and what I got . She did relay that it would not be identical as obviously she's doing someone else's look . The price and the final product just was no where near $95 dollars. The nails on have polish on them yet still look clumpy and the sides are uneven from the filing she did to the sides . My nail was left with a tremendous amount of nail polish around the cuticle because of the airbrush machine she used and the quickness she went to finish for her next guest . Instead of taking the time to clean around the nail she went in very quickly with a brush still leaving a tremendous amount of excess nail polish . I'm not confrontational so I would never ask for a discount or not pay the service I was given with a tip . This review is simply to inform others that if you are planning on doing GelX this may not be the best place for you . To me on my hands they unfortunately look like dollar store press on's that have started growing out . The nail's themselves are not horrendous just not worth the heavy price tag they charge you for them, $95 .I just got the nails done yesterday April 24 and as I left I realized they already looked like they had grown out. Just very dissatisfied with them overall .
