I was a walk in and I will never walk in again. I requested a pedicure and that is what I got along with a horrible attitude. I picked my type of pedicure, the cheapest, a Classic, with just regular polish, not gel. She didn't seem happy with my choice. She was not friendly and had an angry face during the entire procedure. After she was finished, I sat for about 10 minutes, she sprayed something on my toes, pointed to my sandals and said, "be careful putting those on". Well you can guess what happened then. Let's just say she was very angry that she had to fix 3 toes. she mumbled something like, "you are my ...". Didn't quite understand in her broken English. Never ever going back there. Never again !! Second time this happened to me and both times Lucy was my nail tech. Had my pedi done there three weeks prior and it was not much better. Michele, the owner said I could have somebody else do it but when it came down to it, she gave me Lucy again. I feel it was done on purpose because I complained about the quality of my first pedi. TLDR: you'll wait forever even if you have an appt and walk in clients will get seated first. (Read the bad Yelp AND Google reviews that this behavior repeats itself) My Google review: I tried making an appointment for 430 but was told that was too close to closing time and to come in at 4. I showed up at 4 and sat and waited. A girl walked in at 420 and asked if they had time to do her nails (did not have an appt). Owner said yes. At 430 she seats the young lady in her chair and seats me next to a woman who isn't finished yet and tells me it'll just be a couple minutes. Meanwhile the owner starts the walk in client. I sat there and waited another 15 minutes before I gave up. At 445 I walked out. Don't bother making an appointment. You're not the priority. I've been going here for months but should have read the other BAD REVIEWS on here of people saying the same thing. Walk ins take priority over appointments. Furthermore the owner doesn't take accountability and it's disgusting. She blamed the nail tech I was waiting for for taking too long. Read all the reviews about how clients feel rushed. It's because the owner makes the nail techs rush through each job. She also replies to every bad review with an EXCUSE. Just admit you were wrong and try to fix it. read more

Myt cuticles are ruined! I was a nail tech. Michelle put the acrylic under my cuticles, and the pain from that isn't fun. Never will I go back or recommend that place. read more

To start, I had Tiffany do my nails. I showed her a picture on Pinterest and she said it was no problem and my nails came out amazing! I'm super happy with them! The only 'eh' I had is that I asked for coffin on my natural nails and they suggested square to keep my nail strength (which I was fine with square), but I feel like my nails are a little round and some are round-er than others (and a little shorter than I wanted, but that doesn't bother me much - they'll grow!), but maybe I'm just nit-picking? Regardless, I'm super happy with my nails and will probably be going back! I usually never let someone trim my cuticles (I just ask them to push them back a little) but Tiffany was SO gentle and careful!! Highly recommend going if you're in the area. read more

They have the best pedicures. I have never been disappointed. I have received manicures and they are good too. I don't get nail polish because of my job, so they often do a paraffin wax at no additional cost. They do really good eyebrow waxing too. I've never been disappointed. Can't say enough about their pedicures though!!! read more

Service is quite hit or miss in regards to manicures. It really depends on the technician. After my most recent gel fill, I wasn't the happiest with the shape of my nails. I asked for coffin-as always- and some nails came out rounder while others had one side that look like a coffin and the other side just didn't come in as much. The pedicures, however, are wonderful. They offer a different array of pedicures with different additions. The bowls are clean and they use a liner for the inside. The salon itself if beautiful and clean, and something that I can clearly see they pride themselves on is cleanliness and being very sanitary. I will definitely be coming back here for all my pedicures. read more

I'd give zero stars if it was an option. Came here last year for mani/pedi. Had another 2-3 appts, until one of the girls who did my nails told me she couldn't do the white part of the French manicure, curved. She could only do straight across . She started talking in her native language to her coworkers. I asked her what she was saying, 3 times, and 3 times she ignored me. I left and she later texted me to say she was "sorry" and hoped I liked my nails. Meanwhile, my husband bought me a gift certificate here before this happened. I reluctantly sent a message to them and asked if they could refund, and Michelle said she wouldn't refund. Made the big mistake of going there on April 20. I was told I couldn't make an appt and to just walk in and they'd take me. Michelle told me over the phone that they weren't busy. I arrived 10 mins later and ended up sitting for 45 mins at a dry sink in the pedi chair until I asked how much longer it would be? I was told I had to wait for the worker, who's turn it was for the next pedi. It just happened to be the one who wouldn't do my French mani the way I asked. I asked Michelle for someone else, and she said I'd have to wait even longer. I asked again for a refund, and she refused. I was furious and just walked out. I had heard through the grapevine that this place was bad for numerous reasons, but came here anyway. I should have listened. Horrible business ethic and very unprofessional staff. Michelle is not a good person or business owner. Do yourselves a favor, and just don't take the chance. Go somewhere else! read more

Overall they did a nice job it is really expensive compared to other salons I have been to. I got a French gel manicure and it ended up being 35 dollars. Most other salons I went to charged 25 dollars and did the same job. They are very friendly and nice but I don't think it worth the up-charged prices read more

Okay, so I've been going to NAILS BY MICHELE - YORK for several months now and I will NEVER go back! The last time I was there for a mani-pedi, I told Michele and my nail tech (who was on the phone FaceTiming with her BF in LEBANON, PA just about the entire time) I wanted a pedicure. So I'm done with my manicure, was told to have a seat in the pedi chairs, a couple of people came & went, I said nothin, then a young girl comes in & says she needs out within so many minutes they brought her right back & started doing her. I said excuse me but I was here before her & the last 3 people. I was told yeah but they had appointments, I said I did also, was then told they had manicures, I said me too. The girl said she didn't know & continued working on the new customer. To make and even longer story shorter, Michele came back, said she forgot about me. Took the tech from the girl that needed out in x about of time and put her to work on me, she wasn't happy, neither was I. Michele apologized and gave me a card for 10% off next visit. Okay, so like a fool I went back today. I was very plain when I made the request for a 1:00 appointment because I had to be out no later then 3. Michele pushed it till 1:30 stating, after I questioned I would be done by 3, that I would be. My manicure was finished at 2:30, I had being playing close attention and all techs were working on other people so I would have had to wait, so I said for forget the pedi to my attendant. When I went to pay Michele stated "You no get pedicure." I said no I don't have time, I was clear I needed to be our of here by no later than 3. "Yes, yes, yes, you have time." I said no I don't and left. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!! I have repeatedly her say, when I was in there and people walked in for service, DON'T LEAVE I WANT YOUR MONEY and then laugh about it. WELL, because of HER and HER ALONE, not the techs - they are great, SHE WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER PENNY FROM ME. Her customer service is deplorable, her telephone manners are extremely rude (another story), she cares more about people walking in then people already there and I am so done. read more
