Friendly and helpful when it comes down to choosing the color and style you want. However, I was not satisfied with the shape of my nails that the nail tech did. I did ask for a round shape but the nail tech is not good at shaping. Plus, the nails did not look evenly at all. My mom' s male nail technician did a wonderful job with the shaping. I recommend him but didn't get his name. Also, I got two designs that only required lines with nail polish on two nails. My sister got nail designs on all 10 fingers. Got a shellac manicure today, I really like how they turned out! I would have given 5 starts but, I got there and had 40 mins before I had to leave to get to class, I asked her before we started if she'd be able to be done by that time (I haven't gotten shellac ever so I didn't think it took very long) she assured me she could finish. She seemed to be in no rush, which is understandable since she wants to make sure it gets done right. Love this place the employees are so nice! I got my nails done on a Wednesday I was very indecisive and didn't know what I wanted. So picked something that totally wasn't me, after 24 hours I realized I could not stand looking at these nails. Called and told them I had picked the wrong nails told me to come in the next day and that they would take the nails off for me and give me whatever I wanted (of course I had to pay for a new set) but the way they went about made me feel very comfortable. They completely understood and didn't have an attitude with me or push me to wait hours they took me right back and got started. Absolute trash. I only went here as a favor to a friend who didn't want to get her nails done alone. I walked in and was immediately skeptical. I'm used to my spacious nail salon in pearland, but I thought I'd give them a chance. My friend makes a comment about them PEELING off her acrylics on her last visit and then I'm scared, but I don't want to be rude and just leave. The guy who does my shellac (don't trust them to do dip) clearly is inexperienced. He keeps tripping up and nearly cutting me with the drill when removing the dip from my nails and laughs it off as if that's something that happens often. Then when polishing my nails I have to tell him to paint the sides!! How are you gonna leave a big empty space on the side of my nail?? Honestly I only let him go through with the service because I loved the color I picked out. I ended up with something I could've done myself at home. It's already lifting and chipping in some spots. ALSO!! One of my thumbs was broken on the side and he blew it off saying the shellac would seal it instead of filing it down (like common sense would suggest). Then the other thumb was clearly uneven so I asked him to fix it and ended up just giving up and doing it myself at home. How are you a professional nail tech and you can't even shape nails? I have been going to Nails Club for about 6 months. Kathy usually does a really good job. The stones for nail design are poor quality and dull. Went in on a Sunday and was so disappointed. Amanda rushed at the end. Nails started to chip away 2 days later. Pedicure was ok, but pedicurist was so rude. Had originally considered shellac for toes but once I changed my mind, the pedicurist, Julie, was clearly bothered. I contacted the business by Instagram and never heard back. First off, I had been letting my nails grow because I like to get the dip powder and Amanda, my nail tech, filed them all the way down. I find it completely insane the exposure everyone is taking to get their nails done at the Nail Club. My neighbor use to own a nail salon until she came down with cancer. The nail polish remover and drying agent in the nail polish is a carcinogen. You are exposing yourself to toxic levels of VOC's every time you enter this place. The owner is only worried about money NOT your health. She has all of her employees wearing particular dust masks. These masks will not protect you from volatile organic compounds. Only charcoal filter masks would work for VOC's and of course the owner would know you might be alarmed if her employees were wearing the correct protection and you were not. The ITC fire had the same type material in them. You would never consider breathing those vapors on purpose would you? The Nail Club is shorting you life lifespan each time you are exposed to those chemicals and you are paying them to do so. It was so packed in there today I literally waited about 30 min but it was definitely worth the wait. The staff is very friendly and they offer you complimentary drinks (water,fountain drinks,) The only thing I found shady was that it was extra 5 dollars for the "white tip" nobody told me it would be extra and I would complain but the girl was so good with my pedi That i just left it alone and still tipped. I'm giving this place a good rating because i've never had a bad experience until now. I got acrylics from Nicky and they are THE WORST!! She cut the length without confirming with me first, then she didn't even ask what shape I wanted. Then when i asked her if i could have the shape that I WANTED she said it was too late. She was VERY sloppy when applying the acrylic and got it all over my skin, and she left it! It ended up drying on my fingers and ripping them open when i tried to get them un-stuck. Took my mom here for her birthday since I wanted to try a new place and seen a line outside, so I'm thinking "this place must be good". WRONG! They rushed my pedicure and don't respect what you say, they push you to get a more expensive service and then they don't even do a good job, I got a $30 pedicure and the lady kept saying "it's better, sugar scrub" blah blah blah so I let her convince me into going for it. Worse decision ever! She didn't even take 15 minutes before she was done and she didn't clip my toe nails nor did she paint my toe nails right. I also got a REFILL on my nails and they charged me for a full set, mind you I kept my old nails and they didn't even trim them down. Plus, the nail tech cut me in various places. As for my mom, she also said she wanted the $30 pedicure and the lady kept pressuring her into getting a more expensive one and insisted she get shellac instead of the normal nail polish, my moms English is not very good so I feel they took advantage. I ended up paying $50 for her $30 pedicure and then her nail tech did not do a good job on her nails nor did she understand the shape of nails my mom wanted (almond) and she didn't file her nails right, they charged her an extra $5 to cut her cuticles which is something that should be done automatically with a new set, it's been 3 days and her nails are already lifting. I would not recommend this place. I went in and got a gel manicure and it was a chore. They didn't have the best color selection to start with but one can live with that. Then the man (Henry was his name) filed my nails down, to take off my old gel, so far it started hurting my nail bed and cuticles. Then when he asked me what shape I wanted he argued that he couldn't do it. After telling him forcefully he does it, vigorously and semi painfully. And they all tilt to weird angles. They aren't straight. He painted my nails fine, but didn't clean up the color that ran onto my cuticles and there's bubbles of paint off the sides of my nail. I'll have to file these down later. Also he didn't cut any of my hang nails, not that I have many but still. And the lotion massage was dumb. He lotions one arm then immediately went to the next (so no massage) lotioned the other hand and then shook my thumb til it popped and said he was done. DON'T GO TO VAN!!! Just to preface I made a yelp account just to inform others of the hell this place and has put me through. I was so excited to come here. They had amazing color selection and I wanted to get my nails done for prom here. Initially I wanted to be positive about my nails even though they were shaped bad and lumpy they were still pretty at first glance so it was enough to satisfy my prom needs. I tried to ignore the fact that they were extremely unsanitary. Van spilled the chrome powder all over herself and the floor which was okay accidents happen but she started taking the chrome powder from her shirt with the nail brush and putting it on my nails. This wasn't even the worse part. While I was waiting for my nails to dry she took a paper towel and started picking the chrome glitter off the ground and putting it back in the container. They rushed someone into my friends chair without even cleaning up the station as soon as she stood up and her stuff was still on the chair. This explains the fungus my other friend got from this place. I wasn't even going to write this review but not even a week later I barely hit my nail and my entire REAL nail ripped off with the acrylic! As I starting removing my other nails I could see why this happened. She did not take her time and applied the powder so thick and with so much glue it's like cement on my nails. I've never had such a bad experience with a nail place. I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to love this place but now I'm never going to get acrylics again. This was the worst experience I ever had. I made an appointment the day before my wedding and when the lady who did my nails refused to listen to me I ended up with something I didn't ask for. I repeatedly showed her three different shellac colors and each one was not even close to what it looked like on the displays. I ended up settling with a cream white and when she started to paint it on my nails It was iridescent and streaky. I proceeded to tell her I didn't like it and she yanked my hand and said "just let me finish I know what I'm talking about". The color kept streaking and in the middle of her doing my nails she went to dilute the paint because it was running out and instead of fixing her mistake she tried to cover it up. So once my shellac was done I told her it still wasn't the color I had asked for she sent time to the front desk where they informed me the only time they could re do them would be the next day, which was when I was getting married. Initially I would've given this review at the most a 4 star because of the nice nail tech I had, but now considering that this business will not reply to my message it has gone down to a 1. In my opinion it looked like the young male owner has some free time to keep up with customer related things online, so why no response? I had been following their instagram page for awhile now and made my first visit yesterday, a Sunday. I saw a color that I absolutely loved posted online and to top it off they had a special of 20% off going on. Long story short, I went off of the color number the nail salon posted. I did not get what was pictured. Not even close. I anticipate my nail visits only once every month and half because it is pricey and to not be satisfied with my nails is unacceptable in my opinion. Now the special going on was posted by the salon yet it was though the young man at the register did not want to give me the 20% off. Came here for the first time today and I will never be back. I wanted a simple pedicure with standard polish and the lady would not stop pressuring me to get shellac polish until I finally said okay. I told her about 5 times that I only wanted standard polish and I had already picked what I wanted but she would not leave me alone to the point of embarrassment. She talked about some discount and eventually I just let her do it. She gave me the menu and I told her which package I wanted and then she kept trying to get me to upgrade me package even though I told her no. These people only wanna take your money. As she was almost finished with the polish, she then told me that for a basic pedi, no massage, no callus scrub or anything and with shellac was gonna cost $48! I was shocked and I told her she should have said so before tricking me into getting it. I get much better service at my normal salon and usually get basic pedi with scrub and massage and shellac for $30. The lady also cut my cuticle and was very rough.
