Poor color selection . And HORRIBLE service. Make sure to make a RESERVATION because they will make you wait like a idiot while people come in with a "reservation" . I have been waiting for 38 minutes and two people came in with a reservation and took the spot that was supposed to be for me . I get they made a reservation but that doesn't make up for the fact that I have been waiting for so long to be OVER LOOKED. In that case make your salon a RESERVATION ONLY salon. read more

I made a 12:30 appointment today. This was my first time at this nail salon. I decided I wanted to treat my feet. I went in for a regular pedi but of course they talked me into shellac. It's supposed to last 2 months. So I thought "Why not?" Lena did my pedi. She was very sweet and friendly. She definitely took her time which I appreciate. My feet are so soft. And they look and feel great! I didn't like their massage chair. It was actually uncomfortable. Maybe I'm a wuss. But I asked her to turn it off and she only turned it down. It was much better but next time I'll ask them to leave it off. It's hard to relax when you're bouncing around! The shellac pedi was $45. Not bad. I'll definitely be back for another pedi with Lena if this one holds up. She said it will last 2 months but I don't think it will last THAT long. That would be awesome! First time at this place very disappointed I got the deluxe thought I would treat myself what a waste of money she cut one of my nails so short and missed up on that short nail so just polished over it and massaged the hell out of my calfs this was Wednesday morning and today is Monday night they are still sore. After arriving in Pasadena, I quickly looked for the closest nail salon and was afraid I was taking a chance since there were so few reviews...but I was not disappointed! First, their hours are 9am-7pm. I arrived around 5pm on a Saturday with a nice, warm welcome while they seemed pretty full! I went in for a french shellac mani and regular pedi before heading out for my first cruise. The shellac mani looks good for now and was very basic, ending with a quick massage (no hot towel or anything) and a good price of $25. The lady who did my pedi, Kim, was So Sweet! She calls you "my friend" and makes sure you know she gives full service for a relaxing time. No complaints with the pedi, their upgraded pedi included a couple of scrubs with a baby oil rub down and hot towels for a total of $30. All in all, not a bad little place for stopping by. They had one large TV and everyone seemed very friendly. The girl next to me was from out of town as well and took a chance using yelp (best app ever lol)...she seemed happy and the lady helping her was very nice too. We were trying to figure out a good place for crawfish and these ladies have us a good recommendation on a popular local place, making sure we knew how to get there (again, pretty sweet). My mother would always take me to this salon when I was younger. This establishment since has new owners I believe. The first time I went back after the new management had taken over, I was welcomed at the door and was immediately invited to pick out a polish and to sit down in an available massage pedicure chair. After taking a ridiculously long time to choose between red or red, I chose red, and proceeded to head to my chair. As I sat down, a woman greeted me very nicely and went to work. Shortly thereafter, she asked me my name. After hearing mine, she told me her name was Cindy Crawford. I thought this was the funniest thing! Cindy is so goofy and friendly, and she always does a great job. She is the only person I let give me a manicure. All of the employees are very friendly, and are always smiling and having fun. It makes my manicure and pedicure seem like a mini vacation, due to the fact that they always take their time and complete appointments with happy hearts. Orchid Nails is one of my favorite places in the world! read more

Didn't have a very good experience. I came in for acrylic French tip nails and a normal pedicure. Of course they tried to up charge me on the pedicure and definitely tagged on an extra fee for my nails. My nails were crooked and had black fibers/hair in them. My pedicure nail polish immediately got messed up. I asked the girl to fix it and even after she carelessly did, my toes still looked bad. Well I came back in to fix my acrylic nails, but they just ended up worse and with MORE fibers. The girls were a little rude even though the services weren't of quality. This was my first time today visiting this nail salon. Honesty it wasn't so bad, other than the woman doing my toes and fingers was slightly annoying and rude. When she found out I had a mani after my pedicure, she sighed loudly and was obviously annoyed with the fact she had to do more. It made me feel really uncomfortable after. After my manicured she put oil all over my hands and then instead of letting my wash over the oil she drenched my arms and hands in, she told me to just keep it on my hands, even though it was practically dripping off. She may have had just a bad day, and I might have annoyed her since I was a walk in. But regardless, very uneasy. Still, she did a great job on my toes, but not so much on my fingers though. read more

Amy is so sweet and has done my pedicures for about a year but after today I will not be back. I just went to get a pedicure and two guys were leaving and just finished getting manicures and pedicures with bright hot pink and orange colors and everybody was being so polite to them saying, "thank you my friend! Come back and see us!" until they walked out the door. So I pick out my color and I sit down and as I'm waiting I listen to the two women that were JUST being super friendly to those guys and this old lady talking so much crap about them comparing them to dogs and then "oh wait let's not compare them to dogs because that's giving dogs a bad name" and then "oh I'm so sick of hearing about Bruce Jenner 'that man, that man' Bruce he wants us to call him a woman now". I got up and left and on my way out they asked where I was going. I said, "I'll do my own nails if it means I don't have to listen to this hateful bigotry." I've been here a few times cause it's small and seems less busy then most nail salons. But it is not that good, and this past time the experience was terrible. I went with my mom for pedicure and she also got a manicure. They say us down fast and prepped the water. A lady started on me right away, but my mom just sat there waiting while a nail artist sat across from her on her phone not doing anything. Finally after who knows how long she put her phone down and attended my mom but only cause another customer asked her to do her nails, and she said no I can't I have to do her pedicure. She then started on my mom and another lady started on my moms manicure. She removed the polish off my moms nails and then stopped because her regular customer walked in. She said oh she has an appointment so I have to attend her. Then the manicure lady asked my mom to leave the pedicure chair to do her nails better at the table. It was so unprofessional and I felt embarrassed for even asking my mom to go there with me. Had the nail artist started on my mom earlier instead of being on her phone she would have been done by the time her regular showed up for her appointment late. Not to mention I got the deluxe pedicure and it was terrible, I've had deluxe pedicures before and this one was by far lacking. It was pretty much a basic pedicure with deluxe price.
