Called ahead for a quote on shellac refill and a nail trim... it was quoted $35-$40. I'm like ok great!! I'll see yall in a bit. Get there and the customer service is excellent Lisa took me in immediately no wait . She filed my nails and kept filing and I was hopeful like ok she is about to do something great but NO . Lisa then started trying to mold me a nail that now looks like pebbles ruby pebbles i absolutely love the color I chose but my nails now look like small ruby pebbles. Then she started talking about the price and how it will be extra for a trim $5 more and how winking to me saying but for you it's ok no charge... kinda hinting to me she was hooking me up. Excuse me Lisa I have no problem coming to pay for a great spectacular job done well and excellent customer service please don't wink at me like we are doing something illegal. I had high hopes for Marcel Nails & Spa in Deerpark due to the high reviews. However I am very disappointed. I will be straight forward... I called before, they approved a walkin. I was sat down and ignored for 40+ minutes. (I was there for well over 3 hours) Got a regular pedicure, manicure with black polish, and a wax of my arms. It has been less than a week and my polish is peeling. They did not paint to the edges to quicken my return time. I have a rash on both arms where I was waxed. Entire strips of my arm remained hairy despite my attempts to make them known. There are attractive aspects. However I was charged $55, without tip, for a wax that was patchy and has resulted in a persistent rash. Refer to images attached. $64 for Mani/Pedi (Not including tip) I do not recommend. read more

I visited this salon twice. The first time for a pedi only, which wasn't great, but wasn't horrible. The second time I got an acrylic refill, and a pedi. Again my pedicure was not a good experience, nails crooked, polish sloppy, and I developed a nail fungus! My refill was terrible. Not only did Vivian butcher my long natural nails when I asked for a slight trim, but every single nail was shaped differently, the lengths were all over the place, one hand had longer nails than the other. She also applied 5+ layers of shellac, on top of very thick acrylic. As a result the shellac started blistering and peeling the next day. I had to go somewhere else to have them removed completely to fix the damage. I lost over 3/4 of an inch of length and had to get tips on the new set. Beyond the shoddy work, they were very pushy about choosing more expensive services. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

Unfortunately it only takes 1 person to ruin a nice experience. As long as I've been going here, 1nail tech ask customers why they don't make appointments with her and then tells them frequently to set appointment with her. During my last appointment she blamed me for messing up my nails when she forgot to turn on the drying light. Then blamed the pedicurist so aggressively the young woman became viably upset. This needs to be addressed. Guests and your staff are being affected negatively. My return is still being considered. read more

My husband and I came in for the exact same pedicure. We were sat down at the same time, being told we would both be serviced immediately. Although I was able to get started right away, he had to wait until i was almost halfway through before he was able to get started. The person that serviced him was very distracted, did not do a proper job, massaged the same place over and over to the point where it caused discomfort because she was too distracted and unable to multi-task, overall did a rush job. Even though he waited much longer to be seen, he was done long before I was. There were other customers that came in after him that were able to start before him, and again compared to them he was done before they were 2/3 of the way through. We paid the same exact price for the same exact package, but did NOT receive the same exact service. We will not be coming back and do not recommend this place to others who hope to receive the service they paid for. read more

He does nails and also answers phones and directs the customers to technicians as if he's the manager, so I'm super surprised that he's not officially stationed as that position! Not worth the money I paid $126 I do my own nails regularly. I wanted to get myself pampered and have someone else tend to my nails (horrible idea). I had 2 different people working on me a lady for my toes and a guy for my nails let's start with my toes because it's simple she did an ok job she didn't get the color right even after showing her the color I wanted (milky white) I got white toes then she cut my toenails with the cuticle nipper and cut way too much of the sides it has been 3 days and my toes still hurt lastly she only showed me the expensive side of the pedicure options when I tried to grab the chart out of her hand she just held on to it tighter. Not cool. On to the nails I'm happy with the color that's it. The guy cut all my nails different lengths you could tell he was new which is fine you have to start somewhere and get better but not for the amount I paid just for my nails. He kept asking how long on each nail like I just told you how long I can't compare them for you to make sure they are similar lengths dude that's your job if not give me the cutters I'll do it myself. When he was close to done I asked him to add clear acrylic on top because they were too thin there was no apex he looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about but agreed then he added the smallest amount of clear which got me so mad because the whole point was to add strength they are too thin they are going to break I give it a week tops. I was charged $15 extra for shellac on my toes I was charged $65 for "long nails" which they weren't even long they were medium length I had to go home fix the length add some bling but nothing crazy since I don't want to waste my products on a set that won't last but I am still not pleased with them I will add the day I left the salon and after I fixed them a little along with my usual sets I apply on myself. You can also see on the corners of my fingers the mess from the acrylic he applied. Now I understand my sets aren't perfect either but I wouldnt mind spending $65 on the ones I do rather than $65 on the ones I just got. If and when I decide to actually do clients nails I can promise they will be reasonably priced and actually look good. read more

Over priced pedicure & the staff can not speak well enough English to explain their services. They did not have the prices for services listed for one to decided. I took my daughter in for pedi, cause she's pregnant & they charged me $70 for a half fast pedi & $18 for a mani on Sunday & my polish had already started chipping on 4 of my nails. I had to pay because they were almost done when with her ties when I asked the price. Even a Parifin wax pedi is only $46 in the real world. Hellen is my lady and has been doing my manicure and pedicures for around 2 years. Now, I do only get shellac in both hands and feet and Hellen does not do fake nails or tips. So I am from Baton Rouge and I have been going to the same nail salon for about 9 years now. I've been staying in this area for a while and I was in desperate need to get my eyebrows waxed. Before you walk in its questionable because it has those signs up everywhere and you can't really see what it looks like from the inside. When you walk in it is very clean and organized. You fill out a slip and wait. The guy running around was very personable and informative. I waited maybe 5 minutes to get my eyebrows waxed. The bed they bring you back to is comfortable and clean. It's only $7 to get a wax and that is cheap compared to what I'm use to. My eyebrows look GREAT. The only reason I didn't give it 5 out of 4 stars is that is has that terrible nail salon smell that I haven't smelled since I was in middle school. All of my nail salons back at home don't smell like this and I don't really know what the cause of that is but it makes me feel like I'm smelling toxic air. But I will continue to come back and try different things! read more

I just got normal acrylic nails and a t first they started out fine but the lady just kept filing them down and they ended up WAY shorter than I asked for. Also, the nails on my left hand are WAYY shorter than those on my right and couldn't see them/ be shown u til they were already painted and it was too late. the polish was also applied way too thick and would not dry completely. read more

Not the best place. I went there February 10th, 2016 on a Friday at about 1:30, wasn't crazy busy so I enjoyed that. I asked for holographic acrylics over a teal color and was questioned on my choice... 1) don't question what I want 2) I had researched and watched videos about the holographic nails and etc prior to coming so I knew what I wanted. It has been just two weeks and the holograph part of the nails is peeling off because she did not bring it to the very tip of the nail (which you are supposed to), she also didn't apply it to the very top near my cuticles either.. I just left my appointment so angry. I went in for a basic manicure. My technician KIM of course tried to up sale me multiple times (powder-no thanks, dip -no thanks, shellac- again, no thanks!). That's not even the bad part, I expected that. What made me mad was she rushed the job and didn't even give me a massage. My paint job is horrible. When I went to pay it was $15!!! I said $15 for basically a paint job, no massage?! She proceeded to laugh nervously and said she "forgot" about my massage, but conveniently didn't forget to ask if I wanted to tip her!!!! I've been going here for about 4 years now and at first the customer service was good but recently when I voiced dissatisfaction with my manicure the nail technician was incredibly rude and rambled and ranted to her colleagues her frustration. I kindly showed them the nails that were not done well and then kindly asked to have them redone, there was no need to handle the situation so poorly because now I have no desire to continue to do business there. I will say that Helen and Mary are the best nail techs there, in my opinion. They really care about the quality of their work and i respect that. This trip I was extremely unhappy with my Gel manicure the top coat portion and my Pedicure she cut me with the clippers 2 times skin was broken multiple places on my hand by the technician. I won't put her name because I'm not going to be that person as well as by the woman doing my pedicure. I felt management did nothing to make my experience better but go back and fix the top coat their technician messed up multiple times. Also a few I'm sorry by the poor woman. I also had other services I requested but never received and didn't remind them. Because I didn't want to take a risk of them taking a whole eyebrow in the process. Recently went for a nice Valentine treat had saw this place and decided to try and I'm so happy I did. When you first walk in ur greeted by the manager who shakes ur hand and is very good looking! Then there are very nice nail techs I was taken care of my Lena who is very nice and did an amazing job on my nails. Also got my eyebrows and lip waxed for only $13 by Tina who did an amazing job! Another bonus is that males and females work at the nail salon also they have name tags because if ur like me and forget name but remember faces it helps! Also they have all these new pedicure and manicure treatments like deluxe lavender pedicure and manicure. Which is a bonus because other nail salons only offer the deluxe items for pedicures and this places offers it with manicure genius! Lastly, the icing on the cake of this new place is they offer reward card after getting 5 stamps u get $5 dollar off ur next visit I had yet to find a nail salon that offers this!
