I made a same day appointment, because I didn't know if I would be in that area. Ting was accommodating, even though I didn't book with her. I was booked with a student of hers. the nail tech was very detailed in her cuticle clean up. she definitely took her time making sure my extensions were done to the correct length. I did have to correct her in terms of design. I wanted it done according to the photo where it was on the pink, ring and middle & she started putting it on my middle, index and thumb. her line work wasn't bad, but definitely can tell where she stopped and started a line. also you won't get any treatments along with your manicure here, it's just the manicure - no lotion, no wax, but I am 100% fine with that as they put a lot of time into your nails. my only gripe was she put way too much glue under my nails. I ended up messaging Ting the next day who was willing to see me and to clean me up! she ended up apologizing & did a fabulous job grinding down the glue! I love the way my nails look & I'd 100% return next time I'm in the area!

They started off asking me to pick a color from a selection of books. Then the nail tech asked what shape I wanted, and began filing, shaping, and trimming my cuticles. Note to self and other nail newbies that nails need to grow out super long if you want square gel nails, to prevent the gel from touching your skin. The process was overall very relaxing, and fascinating for me to see the amount of care the lady puts into perfecting my nails. The process took around 1 hour 30 minutes, and even with my first time nails, the lady was chill and accommodated with patience, tips, and skill in making the gel manicure work on my short nails. The owner had previously canceled on me last minute, and I was understanding. Instead of asking for a refund, I chose to reschedule. When rescheduling, I was told a time with no clarification of AM or PM. Since I asked for the earliest slot, I assumed AM. I traveled from Brooklyn to Queens early in the morning and waited 45 minutes without a single response to my texts or calls. Hours later, I was finally told to come back. Frustrated but still loyal, I canceled other plans and returned--only to be offered a free manicure to make up for the mix-up. That day, my Uber costs alone were over $100--more than the cost of the service. Given all the inconvenience, I chose not to leave a tip, which is well within my rights as tipping is optional. I usually always tip, but not after that experience. Later, I was refused service completely--because I wanted to apply the deposit I had already sent toward a new appointment rather than let them keep it as a tip. Denying a loyal customer over something so small and unjustified is beyond unprofessional. This business lost two long-time clients over a situation that could've been resolved with basic communication and decency.
