Reminder that I asked for SHORT ALMOND. Does my nails and cuts them to be long and pointy. Shows me after she's done filing. I'm a people pleaser so I didn't say anything because she worked so hard. Made a quick appt online for 6 PM (new set)- I've never been to this salon so was a little hesitant but needed my nails done ASAP and the usual place I go to did not have any availability so I took a risk! I walked in & was taken right away, it was the quickest new set I've had in my nail salon experience which was great - I was out by 6:40; however the experience itself felt weird.. I've never had the hand lotion & towel part done immediately after washing my hands but they implement it standing up? To each their own - I just wanted my nails done! One thing that rubbed me off the wrong way was that that they had a promo going on for their anniversary which was 20% off if you paid cash (which is a great deal btw!) but when I went to pay, no one said anything until I did! I tipped on the original price & went my merry way! I was content overall & the job was done .... Until 3 days later .... and the gel polish is actually chipping??? I went here on a late Saturday afternoon on a whim and I'm so happy I did! I got the Combo 4 which includes a Tea Tree Spa Pedicure and a Powder Gel Manicure. My manicure was done first and as someone who is very picky about their nails, they did an excellent job and were very quick! I find that a lot of places do powder manicures differently, but this place did it perfectly! I asked for coffin shape, which can be tricky for certain places, but the shape came out exactly how I wanted it. I will admit I normally get a regular pedicure, but for the price of the combo I couldn't turn down the spa pedicure. The tea tree pedicure includes a 10 min massage; that alone made the spa pedicure worth it. My feet and legs feel amazingly soft. The salon itself is not as glitzy and glamorous as some other salons I've gone to, but that doesn't take away from how great this place is. It's extremely clean and everyone working here is very friendly. I had two separate people do my manicure and pedicure and both were so nice and did excellent work. I have never had a mani/pedi done so quickly and so carelessly. The polish chipped by the next day. This place is more about gels and tips and I guess my mani-pedi wasn't worth their time since it's so inexpensive. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

After a rude woman who seemed to be the owner shuffled my family off to their seats, we were charged almost $600 for 3 gel pedicures and 2 gel manicures. This included some designs, but overall, a ridiculous price for not the best service. Only one of the pedicures and one of gel manicures lasted two weeks. Go somewhere else!! read more

Review of regular manicure pedicure Really contemplated how I was going to review them. I feel like the pedicure was okay but the manicure was NOT. Starting from shaping it was rushed and uneven, and I had to ask her to reshape some nails. Then when she was doing cuticle care it was rushed, haphazard and honestly careless. The color application was okay but because cuticle care was so messy there are soo many bubbles in the color. Then the top coat application made it worse. It was soo splotchy that you can see where the top coat didnt reach. I think if you get gel/acrylic it looked like they take their time and are thorough, but if you get regular polish expect to be herded to your chair and rushed through. read more

Came here for the first time on a Tuesday 3pm as a walk-in. Solid 3 stars. Needed nails done for a friends wedding this weekend so decided on one sparkly finger. Needed it short due to my job which involves typing. I'm not a newbie to nail salons but never got acrylic extensions either. I'm the type that can do my own nails pretty well at home (I have a gel UV machine), but sometimes you just want someone else to do the cuticles and cut off the dead skin! I chose gel pedicure and powder gel manicure. No extra spa services. It was $75 without tip. Pros: -took me as a walk in when place was 40% full -it seemed like they tried to match the color I wanted. They made an effort by taking my Phone and showing other coworkers -cheaper prices compared to SoCal OC area and Manhattan $75 vs $100 for the same type of service -prices are listed clearly at the salon and up to date online. They tell you the cost upfront -didn't try to push or upsell on additional services but they did ask once -massage chair is on with pedicure -there's lots of variety for classic gel. Cons: -not a lot of choices for powder gel -sloppy work overall. See pics. Uneven coats, uneven nail filing, residue on skin. Thick coats that were not filed down evenly -didn't use cuticle softener for feet or hands -pedicure: was lightning fast. Didn't cut dead skin. I'm ok if they don't cut the cuticles or push it. But they didn't even ask. At least take off the dead skin at the ends/around of my nails. You know how there should be dead skin collected on that metal tool. I had none! He even skipped some toes. I guess he didn't think they needed it? When it came time for the buffing of the bottom of the feet or heels it was scrub-scrub-scrub 3 passes w the scrubber and done. Maybe they wanted me to pay for the extra "spa" service? So I guess to them pedicure is just the nails only not feet --which they didn't even do a good job on! -manicure: sloppy. They did not soak my nails in a bowl of water. Is this a new thing? I've gotten my nails done approximately 30 times in my life, this is the first time no bowl of water and no cuticle softener. They just went straight to filing, then commenting rudely that my nails are too short. (Are you only wanting long nail clients then?). After filing they went straight to the power dip procedure. No dead skin removal aka MANICURE portion. This was just straight up a nail painting service. I noticed she was going so fast too. Then I asked oh no UV? Which some places do as I've gotten powder many times before; she responds oh you never had powder before??? First time??? Judgey tone but whatever. Call me an ugly bag of dirt (I know immigrant bluntness is a thing; that's my mom, ok), as long as my nails come out nice. I just want results. Nope. -I didn't particularly like that I had 2 manicure techs since it got busy and my original lady got called away to do someone else's pedicure but that's fine just give me good results. Nope. -they do your manicure and pedicure one after the other; not simultaneously the way some salons do. I guess this is either a pro or a con depending how rushed you are. I spend 1.5hours here. -I heard them asking everyone if they're Chinese or Korean and what language they speak if they said yes to Chinese. They asked me the exact thing. In SoCal they ask if I'm Vietnamese. Sometimes I think they just want to gossip without us understanding. Overall solid 3 stars. Decent place on bell blvd if you need a quick no hassle manicure but don't come here if an event is coming up or if you want to be pampered in anyway in terms of nail care. They do give a 30 second shoulder massage but I'd rather trade that for a little bit of TLC on the nail care. Cut my dead skin off please!! Paint a little neater please! It's easier to get prettier acrylic nails with designs, but maybe on natural short nails, the flaws are more apparent. Ambience is brightly lit, no background music. Tools are not individually wrapped. Does not seem to be sanitized in between as they chose it from a common cup holder shared between adjacent techs. Tools are also not per technician. Some places, the tech have their own rolly cart with their own supplies they are responsible for. You get what you pay for. read more

Highly recommend Sam for your nails!! He is so meticulous and has great attention to detail. I showed him a picture of ombre nails and he perfected it. I was nervous at first from past experiences with other nail techs but he re-assured me that it would turn out okay and IT DID. I couldn't stop looking at my nails. The ombre acrylic set costed about $65, which is pretty good compared to other places I've been to. It lasted me about 3 weeks. They also have different combos available for a mani-pedi, which are all affordable. read more

Very, very torn about this salon. I really think this is more of a 3.5... Let me switch it up and list the pros and cons on why this was a tough one to rate: Pros - 1. Their color selection is on point. Not only for powder gel but regular gel too. You can also tell they like to do designs. 2. They were very thorough with my manicure. They noticed my nails were fairly uneven from my previous manicure and did a great job of straightening them out. 3. The techs were nice and they were also very efficient. My manicure lasted just under an hour. 4. As soon as I walked in they made me use hand sanitizer and I noticed that they had masks available for those who riding have their own ones. 5. The price!! $32 dollars for a powder gel mani with SNS colors. That's hard to beat. Note: Tax is added when you use your card, so it came out to $34 and change. Cons - 1. When I walked in, the place looked messy. Not dirty, just messy. It didn't look super clean either... 2. The first thing I noticed upon walking in was that there were no partitions in between the customers and the techs or in between each customer. I'm not sure if they were up at one point and then took them down, but for a place that is fairly congested, my thought is that partitions would still beneficial. 3. The techs do not wear gloves, only masks.... Not a huge fan of this. 4. Only some of the tools they use, are sterilized. The nail clipper the tech used to cut my nails were not included in the sterilized pouch of tools. Rather only the cuticle cutter and cuticle pusher were the only sterilized items. 5. When I was done with my manicure, she told me to wash my hands. But then instead of finishing with lotion and a warm towel back the the table, she did all this in front of the sink. Finally, the biggest reason this was a three star rating is in the midst of my powder gel manicure, literally as my nails were being dipped, they moved me to a different nail tech. I made and appointment and when asked if I wanted a certain tech I replied "Anyone will do, this is my first time there". You would think they would want to make a good first impression. And I would have been happy with really any of them. Both the techs did a great job! The reason they switch me was because another customer made an appointment with my first nail tech. The kicker -- the customer that they moved me for was 30 min late. This is a real pet peeve of mine. It makes me feel like I'm less important customer than the other customers. I was honestly really upset by this... Will I be going back? Probably not. It's great that they have loyal customers and they did do a great job. It's just not the place for me. read more

Got a great manicure and cat eye polish. Wendy did a great job with application of UV Gel filling. She also did a nice job shaping and filing. The only one problem was that she showed me the shape on the first finger, but the rest of my 9 fingers are a more narrow and shorter (in proportion to one another) than what I thought I was getting. I will still go back. I will make sure to express that all my nails match proportionally and pay attention to each mail as it's being done. Their pricing is moderate but they are worth it compared to some of the surrounding salons that glopped the gel on my nails and made them too thick. Had they all been in perfect proportion, I would have given 5 stars. I will be back for sure. I just hope they plan to renovate because it feels like a salon from the 90's. read more

If you're looking for a no frills nail salon, Sweet Sisters is the place for you. Their pricing is pretty on par with all other nail salons in queens (The regular pedicure spa paired with the gel manicure was $55.) What draws me to this salon though is their efficiency. I walked in on a Saturday morning expecting to get turned away without a reservation, but they surprisingly fit me in. Thye were able to get me in and out the door for a regular pedicure + gel manicure in 1 hour and 15 mins - AND they did a pretty damn good job at it. Had good conversations. BUT they do like to gossip and talk negatively about their customers. So beware LOL. Sadly ,I really do not like my nails. I paid $164 plus $30 tip for mani and pedi. Mani was $95, pedi was $64 gel ( with a "lemon lotion and 20 min massage"). The flower on my nails looks poorly did, bulky and cheap. The sparkles/ bubble design is so bad. I feel ripped off. The foot massage was HORRIBLE and the lady was just lightly rubbing my feet for 20 mins. Not worth the money. Barely a massage. She was trying to upsell me. Like to rub the dead skin off my feet. I have been getting my pedicures done here by Angela for the past 2 years. She takes her time and does a great job always. The 10 minute massage is worth every dime.
