While both of my daughters who saw female staff loved their nails, I was given a man (whose name I was not given) who completely messed up my nails. He cut my cuticles/nails beds with his file on three fingers to the point of bleeding and never offered antiseptic or apologized. He also insisted on putting tips on a few nails, rather than "build an edge" like I requested, but then ended up filing the tips down to where the nail was! My total bill for the three of us was $191 before the gratuities, and I was never given an itemized bill (or receipt.) So, I am extremely reluctant to go back...but since my daughters were happy, I'd say if you give this place a try, don't let the man do your nails!!! read more

Awful manicure experience. The woman who did my nails was completely distracted. She only cared of Covid protocol, send you to wash your hands, made you sign an agreement there and takes you the temperature. Then she took her cell ph and started answering ph calls and texting as well, also chatting with her colleagues in their language. The result was that my nails were cut short as my request but no chance to stop her to cut them super short bc she was distracted and she didn't hear me. Then, the whole process of Nexgen was totally incorrectly done. Again no way to say anything to her because she was up and down on her seat and paying attention to her cell ph more than me, the client. Not only my nails grew up in a week but they look like my manicure was done 3 wks ago that they also look thick and poorly done. Not sure if the nail technicians in that place care of their clients or only care of $. Do yourself a favor. Check out other places around before coming here. Update: I will answer the response of Cindy, the business owner. I am not complaining of the protocol, which seems to be the norm in many other places, and that's ok. My complain is about the lack of attention to me, the client. You or whomever did my nails should focus, and not be on the cell ph. Try to think as a client, put yourself on my shoes. There are a lot of salons in Boca and unfortunately I chose this o e because of the reviews. As soon as I arrived there a very "gentle" woman said: go wash your hands! Didn't ask me what time my appointment was, no greeting, nothing. As soon as I came back she stuck a thermometer on my forehead without warning. I understand and appreciate taking people's temperature, but it doesn't hurt to inform you before. After that I sat for 45 minutes waiting for my appointment. Someone came after me and started her pedicure right away. When I asked them, they just told me to enjoy the massage and someone would be with me. I just got myself out and went to get my nails done somewhere else. What it looked like was that they booked way too many people at the same time. If you want a cheap and rude experience, this is the place. The owner sent me a message offering free mani/pedi but I will not spend another 2 hours on this place. read more

The worse nail salon service ever. Lenna nail tech is very nasty and she has a bad attitude. On my last visit to her she was so rude to me and refused to finish my nails because she thought I was not satisfied. Then when I asked Cindy to finish she quickly decline. The two of them were so nasty to me and I paid for my half ass service from them. The worse pedicure and manicure I've ever had to cost almost 100 dollars. I DONT RECOMMEND GOING HERE. I love this place! I get the dipping powder and they do an amazing and fast job. You can add a tip to the nail on the dipping powder if you'd like too. A quiet and relaxing place. The dipping powder (with over 40 colors to choose from) is a price of $35, which is totally normal. Very nice staff too! read more

I heard great reviews about this place and when I went it was very nice but the quality of service was not. I got a fill for my acrylics and I thought it was a bit pricey. Even more so that a week later one of the nails fell off. I've never had an acrylic fall off. So I went back to get it fixed and it was very rushed and rude. Now 2 more nails have fallen off. This place is great and well priced. The staff is very friendly and the owner really knows her customers. There are so many regulars who go here too (which is always a plus in my book). Whenever I get a gel manicure anywhere else it starts to peel up after a week. Here they last over two weeks. I'm so relieved I finally found my nail place in Boca. After living in south Florida for 4 years, I can say with confidence that many nail places are over priced and don't know how to do nails. Never coming back. Cindy is so rude. I've been coming to this salon consistently since moving to the area 8 months ago. Each time, I pay way more than I feel I should, but they do a better job than most so I deal with it. Unfortunately, that will not be the case after yesterday's experience. At 9:15 AM I booked an appointment for 2:30 with Cindy. Upon arriving, Cindy was finishing up another clients pedicure, so I waited 10 minutes - no big deal. When Cindy was ready for me, I explained that I wanted a very simple design - funny bunny dip powder with a small red heart on each nail. Cindy told me that she couldn't do it and offered to use stickers instead. I told her that I don't like how the stickers look and she offered no other option, so ignore all of the reviews claiming she does great nail art, I guess it depends if she's in the mood to try. I told her that I would do French again, but I was unhappy as that was what I had already had on my nails and wanted a change. Cindy didn't care. Then, as I was soaking in nail polish remover, the previous client informed Cindy that she still needed her eyebrows done. Cindy left me sitting there with my hand pruning in acetone for 15 minutes. Finally she comes back and starts my manicure. I told her that I don't like the white on the French to be too think. She told me you'd be able to see the natural line (you cannot) and proceeded to do my first hand with the white so thick that it covered half my nail. I told her that I didn't like it and she told me that she could take it off but first tried to prove me wrong that it would look bad thin. When I told her I liked the look of her "test nail" better, she was clearly annoyed. I then said that I was really unhappy with the first hand and really didn't like it. Being that I'm spending 52 dollars for this, I'd like to at least be content with the manicure since I'm already not getting the design that I wanted. Cindy's next client then came in, so she told me that I would have to be switched to another technician to complete my manicure. This makes no sense as I ALSO had an appointment, was disregard and told to wait during my time slot, and had made it clear what I wanted from the beginning. The next technician told me he wouldn't be charging me when I told him I wanted to leave - so fine, I stayed. I finish and he quotes full price. After 3 hours, I'm done. I paid and left without arguing and even gave him a 20 dollar tip - way beyond generous even if it had been a good experience. It's a shame since the techs here are great, but Cindy's attitude ruins the whole experience. What kind of manager doesn't even say hello when customers walk in? Go anywhere else. Oh - and my nails have bumps and specks of glitter in them. read more

Customer service is definitely lacking. I had the rudest person do my nails, I almost wanted to walk out. Even with an appointment it doesn't matter because they are unorganized. My pedicure was gel and chipped after 7 days and my full set started lifted after ten days. They were only concerned with the tip and told me I couldn't get a certain service because of time. It's a complete joke of a nail shop to limit their customers because they can't manage a schedule. I definitely would recommend any place other than this location. I'm used to amazing Miami manicures where they take the time to shape your nail, remove cuticles (not in five minutes) and then take their time to paint. Mimi did an okay job with cleaning up my nails although I felt rushed the entire time. However, the paint job was sloppy, when I asked to clean up she said "it's already dried, when you wash your hands the polish over the cuticle will come off". She had another customer waiting and rushed me out. I had to ask for lotion and got a pea sized amount that was not enough. Will not be coming back. read more

I had an appointment for a pedicure and NexGen service at 1pm today. Walked in at 1 and waited until 1:25 to even get into the pedicure chair. As someone who works M-F and had an unexpected day off with lots of errands to run, I feel as though I should have been helped at least within 15 minutes of my appointment time. I had another appointment scheduled at 2:30 so after my pedicure, (which was finished at 2:05 pm with no massage) I had to leave without my NexGen. I was offered to have my nails done while I had my pedicure, but I had a few emails to return so I needed my hands available during my pedicure. The salon was clean, and my pedicure was done well, but I do not think I'll be returning to this salon due to waiting almost 30 mins past my appointment time to be helped, lack of NexGen colors, and a $21 pedicure that didn't even include a massage. read more

I make appointments because I don't have that kind of time to waste. It may have been an off night and busy but walk-ins and regulars were being taken care of before and during our services. They should have been told to wait or to come back at a later time. On another note, I also was uneasy regarding no liners in the tubs and the tools that were used.
