Update: since posting my original and accurate to my experience review, the owner has had someone under the alias 'Zach B' send me two very nasty messages here on Yelp. This action goes to show the true lack of class of this place of business. I'm not sure if the intention was to have me take down my review or amend it but it's not happening. I have saved these nasty messages if you would like to read them just contact me. Also the review directly after mine by a lady that claims to have been in the salon at the same time as me is a fake review as that person has no clue when I was in at any point. No one knows me by name in there nor is my photo here on Yelp. Fake reviews by businesses for themselves is worse than negatives ones. Again very unprofessional. So many more reasons to avoid this place. I have contacted Yelp and I have blocked this 'Zach B'. Moving on... High prices, pushy mediocre staff, long waits (its new so everyone seems to want to go there) overly loud dance club like music. The interior is really pretty. That's the nicest thing I can say about this place. The staff is decently pleasant (other than complaining loudly about having to be there working) but definitely super pushy when you tell them what service you want if it doesn't involve a pedicure they will always push a pedicure as it's getting warm now you don't want to how gross feet. It's belittling to us customers. Also I've left not feeling satisfied the last two times. Messy polish jobs and so I won't be back. There are too many other options in the area to just settle for this one or go because it's new. read more

Everyone was really kind and joking around. Tina has been so much fun! It was a pleasure talking to her and she gives a great massage!! I decided to try Nailtoepia today and was not disappointed! They just opened recently and it's conveniently located next to the new Walmart off 291 and 150 (right next to Pizza Shoppe). The shop is huge and very well decorated. I didn't have an appointment but was greeted and seated right away. Beni was great and didn't mind my lack of nails (trying to grow them out):) I got a gel manicure for $30 ($10 cheaper than my normal salon) and it looks great. Next time I'll try the dip nail powder as they have a wide variety. I'm excited to go back and do something more fun with my nails. Don't hesitate to give them a try! Love the new shop! Well planned & thought out! Tran's uber kind grace and ease to 'work me in' last minute combined w/ her gentle, super Wonderful work & always spot on suggestions/ideas to try (i.e. help w/ color picking, 'ombré', powder that lasts longer or shines better over time, etc.). --Tran's amazing & worth adding drive-time minutes to get to the new shop! Plus, the waiting area is inviting & gorgeous; the music selection Rocks; & the environment/vibe is warm, efficient, & caters to clientele. And omg!, I Love the blue couch! Just moved to town and went here for the first time. Got all white nails with my ring finger glitter. With in two days 5 of my nails had all the gel coming off. A week after getting them done i had three nails with no polish and 5 that were chipped on the corners. I went in to get them fixed and she re did 5 of them but left three still chipped and looking awful. Really loved everything else but i payed $50 for a fill and for them to come off in two days? read more

Everytime time I get a white gel pedicure done , it gets dirty after a couple days I have black staining on my nails. But when I go other places , that's not the case. I don't know if they do that so I can come more frequently but it is a real inconvenience. read more

My nails always look perfect when I leave NailToepia so much so that I come here every time I visit from Texas. The salon itself is bright and clean, modern but comfortable. There is a spacious waiting area but I recommend making an appointment just because there are always people there/it feels busy. Huge selection of polish from normal to gel to dip. read more

FIVE STARS. This place is great. Everyone was friendly. My fill and gel polish only took 26 minutes. I thought it was going to look rough since it didn't take long, but I'm very impressed. I believe my lady's name was Trish. She cut my nails down very low which I appreciate very much. I hate long nails. She also made my acrylics thin! I love that they almost feel like my real nails. I'll definitely be coming here again. UPDATE: it's been a week and my gel is peeling off, my nails have cracked, and my acrylic is peeling off of my nail already. I guess it was too good to be true. Had an awful experience at this nail salon on July 31st. This is the only nail place I go to and I really liked them up until this point. I don't like confrontation at all and usually things don't bother me, but I left really disappointed. When the manicure nail tech took off the polish there was green under one of the acrylics. I was getting a fill and she said she would put a new one on that nail. My first issue is she didn't do anything to the natural nail (like clean it) once she took the acrylic off. I get that it happens if water gets under acrylics, especially if you wash your hands frequently, but the nail tech didn't try to disinfect it or anything. As she kept working she stepped on my toes that were just painted by another tech (who was actually great) they were messed up and instead of properly fixing them she just put more nail polish on top. They're still not dry 12 hours later. I kept looking at the set without the nail polish on it and I told the nail tech I would honestly just prefer to have a full set instead. She acted like she had no idea what I said and continued to do the nails. I said hey I don't want to waste your time, honestly it'd be worth it more for me to have a full set that wasn't disgusting. She continued and said no and then told me I could ask the manager (who was busy working on another customer) I was so uncomfortable at this point I just sat there. I paid before she put the polish on and sat there until she finished in awkward silence. You could still see green through the bright red polish, so after they were dry I asked the Owner's wife if I could come in for a full set in the morning when they opened. She checked their schedule and then said yes. I came in today (August 1st) and was hopeful for them to fix the situation. Let me first say that I don't mind paying more for something that I'm asking. Money isn't the issue here. I would've paid more for a full set and tipped a tech FAT if they did a decent job while being kind. Also I really liked this place and they haven't given me any issues until this recent situation. The manager took me outside after 10 minutes of waiting and asked me why I wanted a full set. I explained and also stated I needed a few toes fixed since the *manicure* nail tech messed them up. He went inside and asked the girl about the situation and she said I never asked for a full set. They then started to argue with me so I said if you can't help me, I'll just go to another salon. So I walked out. Just wanted to post this to give anyone a heads up that's looking for a good nail salon- DONT go here. Or only schedule a pedicure because those girls are actually really nice. (Girl with blonde hair and glasses, and girl with really cool short hair black with green on top- love them they've been great every time I've been in.) Never had an issue with any pedicure nail tech. But honestly the way the owner handled this situation I don't want to come back. If you want to be treated shitty and get green nails, then this might be the place for you. *UPDATED AFTER NAIL SPA FIXED IT. $60+$15 WELL SPENT* read more

Do NOT use Trish for a pedicure! She kept watching customers come in the front door is ONLY interested in getting two done in an hour! The worst pedicure I've ever had. I would give a lower rating if possible. So disappointing. She literally gave one half hearted stroke to each toe nail with sanding block. And only used callus lotion on one foot. I asked her to use it on the other and she says it wasn't needed. I rarely ever do reviews. Move on to the next place and save your time, money and frustration. read more

Didnt have a very good experience today. My son and I went in there to get pedicures. I got a classic pedicure ..the massage he tried to give me was horrible.. I believe he didn't even touch my left foot and continued to rub the same spot on my right calf for 10 min.( Seemed to be distracted by the Music videos playing) My son got his toenails cleaned up and his feet scrubbed and a better massage than me, I'll add.. but they charged me $25 for his ...doesn't seem right. read more

I have been a customer since the salon opened. I am always impressed with what the techs can do, especially Tran!! Prices are reasonable and they have kids prices as well. The salon is always clean, including the bathroom. Lots of options with colors, especially dip powders. Give it a shot! read more

The staff was friendly and very attentive. We did not have to wait very long for a mani pedi. The space and tools appeared clean. There were plenty of regular and gel colors to choose from. I was extremely satisfied with my pedi with gel polish. I got a full set w gel as well and wasn't as happy. They were uneven as well as the gel. The shape also wasn't even. I will return for another gel pedi and possibly get my gel mani here at well. I've decided against acrylics since I can't find a consistent salon to do them. read more

This is one of the best and most professional nail salons I've been to in the KCMO area. Very clean and modern and the staff is on their toes and super friendly. They have a wide selection of colors to chose from. I was extremely happy with my pedicure and I can't wait to go back and get a manicure. I went with my best friend to get pedicures and the women doing our feet were extremely unprofessional in the way they were talking and kept telling us how much they didn't like their jobs, customers, etc. it was really awkward. I also ended up getting a sore on the side of my foot that comes and goes ever since I went there. The polish I chose was supposed to be long lasting and durable but chipped off the next day. Probably won't be back. I'd rather drive into the heart of Lee's summit for a pedicure than to this one which is closer to home. read more

I told the nail tech 3 times what I wanted and got the wrong thing went back to get them fixed due to time and nothing was done a few were filed. nails are bumpy and lumpy, major bump at cuticle flared up and out. They didnt even repolish the nails they filed so I now have 2 colors one on each hand.
