There's golf.... but I love their spa treatments.

Hidden gem.... beautiful resort with all the amenities. Great place to come R&R. Golf course, pool, spa, private villas, restaurants & bar. Gym, Yoga classes and great customer service.

Drove 7 hours to get to a 4:30 tee time. It's June 20th and the sun doesn't set till nearly 9. Told that carts need to be back by 7:30. Apparently they are under staffed. So we paid for 9 even though i was really looking forward to 18. Quickly realized that the understaffing extended to maintenance. Now, i don't think i'm much of a critic as i'll play all sorts of courses, but the conditions were farm-like. Tall grasses in the fairways, tee boxes that looked as bad as the greens (both had nearly equal length grass). It's the middle of prime season. If the course looks like this now, they really should just shut it down or sink some serious money into it because i have zero desire to play here again and any real management would be appalled. The cart paths are horrid and the fairways not much smoother. I'd prefer to walk and this course is basically unwalkable, but is also a terrible cart ride. Moving along, i wanted to buy some new golf shoe's, they had none. The 2 basic cocktails we ordered amounted to $34. It was a total fail from start to finish. We are at this resort for 4 nights and am worried the rest of the resort is operated as poorly now, hope i am wrong. Oh, there was no beverage cart and the restrooms were closed.

Great course. Great restaurant. I work at Whitehawk. Love that Nakoma is there and owners are very community minded.

Beautiful area and challenging golf course. If you've never been there it is definitely worth making the trip.

Wanted to add that wireless and phone coverage really bad. So don't plan on that usage if you need to.

Amazing course. I had a blast playing here. This course is tough. Bring extra balls and get ready for a great day.

We returned this past weekend for a 2-day trip for my birthday and brought the whole family (5kids). There are rental villas that are large enough for our family - we stayed in a 3BR that had tons of space to spread out, watch movies in the evenings, enjoy the hottub on the deck. It was right across the parking lot from the clubhouse, which was our favorite part of this weekend. Our family enjoyed the gym, the climbing wall, basketball, pool table, foosball, video games, and of course the pool and the hot tub. The restaurant at the clubhouse was perfect for poolside snacks. The service was amazing - the staff greeted us warmly and helped us enjoy everything there was to offer. We were able to go on a couple of hikes right from our villa. The beautiful golf course made me wish I was a golfer! A wonderful Resort that we can't wait to visit again!

Nakoma Resort is a beautiful property, and this was not my first stay here. The setting,…read morefacilities, and overall atmosphere are wonderful, which is why my recent experience was so disappointing. We arrived at night during a power outage. There were no lights available in the building, including no visible emergency lighting, and the elevators were not working. Our room was originally on the second floor, but because I have knee problems and cannot easily use stairs, the night staff member was very kind and helped us by finding a room on the ground floor. I truly appreciated her professionalism and willingness to help during a difficult situation. What left a negative impression was the interaction at checkout the next morning. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the power outage, I felt as though we were expected to be grateful for being placed in a different room because it happened to be one of the resort's nicer accommodations. To be clear, the room change was necessary because of the resort's power issue, not a special favor. While the property itself remains beautiful, the lack of emergency lighting and the response from the front desk the following morning raise concerns about both guest safety and customer service. Unfortunately, after this experience, I'm not sure I would choose to stay here again. If this was other hotel chain I will be even refunded because the inconveniences!!
