I paid at Whitehawk to play at both courses back in June to be able to get the two course deal during our week Tournament that we schedule and play every year in July. So instead of calling Whitehawk to clear up the situation he said I have to charge you again and that I needed to take up the problem with Whitehawk. BS..dont blame the Pro's at Whitehawk when you could easily fixed it. read more

A little over 1 hour from Reno, this golf course may be considered a hidden gem because of its remote location. As far as the golfing experience goes I thoroughly enjoyed playing here. First time playing here so didn't know what to expect but it was definitely a pleasurable experience. Pace of play was good and only encountered slow play from hole 14 on. Nice course through a meadow. Lots of Canadian geese and their droppings. Owners have improved golf cart paths in many areas. Range is small but adequate. Shop personnel aren't quite honest about their rates. Course is a bit expensive for what it is. read more

I Had a very unpleasant experience with who I presume was the manager. A simple confusion over pace play and bag rules, which could have easily been sorted out with professional conduct and communication, turned into a sour experience . My group arrived to check in for our tee time, It was our first time at the course so we didn't know our way around yet. We were almost immediately approached by the manager and were confused if he was trying to help us check in or not. He ended up sending me inside to go check in and pay. While I was checking in, he asked another in my group where our other bags were because we only had one for the three of us. when she said that was all, he shook his head and said "no". When she tried to get clarification she got the same head shake and "no" before he went back into shop where I was at the time about to pay. Instead of offering an explanation of the policy, and trying to come to a solution that would work for both of us, we had a awkward, tense moment where I chose to back out of the transaction. It wasn't until after I told them I was going to cancel they offered the rental clubs and a exception to the rule, but at that point my experience had been ruined and the whole mood of my group was soured. If it wasn't for the passive aggressive and condescending attitude of the manager I would have been happy to come to a compromise. I'm sure they won't lose any sleep over losing out on 150$, but this honestly ruined my morning read more

First, let me be clear that this is a nice bough course. The Pro was kind and friendly to us. The views are stunning. And they have wildlife throughout the course. The facilities are well-maintained. Anyone can enjoy a round here. The sand is great to play out of and the greens are challenging and mostly great. That being said, this course falls well behind other local courses in its character and creativity. The rates to play are high. If this course were anywhere else, it would be 30-50% cheaper. It's a course through a meadow. I wasn't blown away. And the bartender is hella surly. I both appreciate and kind of don't like this. So I'm not sure when/if I'd travel up to plumes county for this course As opposed to the other fine options. read more

April Memorial for My husband. The restaurant provided an amazing venue. The food was so fresh and beautifully presented. We used the sound system and had the tables decorated with flower arrangements from a local. They provided a display table which was perfect for our pictures and memorabilia of his military and professional life. The hosted bar was a wonderful complement to the buffet. The military honor guard presented the flag ceremony under a blue sky and above the greenest tee. The magic of this day was indescribable as we saluted and the sound of the 21 Gun Salute and Taps echoed over the the greens , the mountains and the Graeagle Creek. This golf course has more of a forested wilderness setting than some of the other golf courses in this area as there doesn't seem to be any housing development right on the course. The crowd here seems a little more low key casual. The dining options here are more casual as well. There is a nice restaurant with a decent menu serving breakfast you you early risers wanting to hit the links first out. Parking is easy. There's a full bar here, so if you wanna do shots after your game, then you can! The staff seemed young and friendly. read more

We've had a family vacation home in the area for 15 years and we hadn't played Graeagle much, but played it three times this summer.... and wow, what a fun golf experience. Definitely more playable than some of the other courses in the area and much flatter -- also absolutely gorgeous with a relaxed vibe to the facilities. Best kept secret are their breakfasts which, unfortunately, have been put on hold during Covid. (Graeagle staff: find a way to make this work! I miss eating here!) Definitely will be spending more time here next year. read more

Wow, just a gorgeous course. Very well maintained. Tricky 2 tiers greens on some holes but that is ok. 1st time I played it and was solo and playing with someone with local knowledge would have helped. Can't wait to play again. I really enjoyed myself. Friendly staff too. read more

Been going to Graeagle Meadows for 15 years. I have enjoyed the course over the years, and the course is in great shape. Was put behind a 5 some of women who were playing at a 5 hour/round pace on a Thursday. They refused to let us play through because they said they were in a tournament. The constant waiting on every shot makes me question if I will ever return. There are no course marshals. read more

We have frequented this golf course on numerous occasions during our summer vacation. The golf course is in wonderful shape. The restaurant staff and food is superb. The pro shop is beyond reproach. Also, I have found the course to be very well maintained. Play flows nicely, and they have reasonably priced greens fees. Fantastic course. Grass driving range, priced right, greens run about 10-11 and true, and the whole property is manicured. I am a single-digit player and found the course long and undulating enough to challenge me, and my 20+ handicap friend had fun as well. Hit a driver on 1 and cut the corner hard. Avoid the sucker pin on the right side of 3. You can get to 5 in two if you use the right rough and avoid the tree on the left. Most everything else is target golf. Not a bad idea to leave the driving to someone else either, decent bar for the 19th hole as well! read more

Played all 18 holes and loved the experience. The grounds are well kept and the course is beautiful set against the mountains. Saw some deer on one hole and my group almost hit a goose with one drive. The people at the course were extremely friendly and helpful. We went both to use the driving range and play the course. Such an awesome little gem hidden about an hour north of Tahoe/Truckee. The people are all so friendly in this sleepy mountain town, and the course was surprisingly green and manicured! Loads of fun wildlife found on the fairway, nice greens- can't complain and can't WAIT to get back here. Loved the grass driving range and the location couldn't be more beautiful. read more

I played this course today and it was nice. It is not as nice as some of the other courses close by. I would consider this the "Muni" of the surrounding courses. I would play a course close by over this course. This was on a Friday and it was almost a 5 hour round. read more

I recently got married so for our honeymoon we decided to go to Graeagle CA. My wife had never being golfing with me so I brought her along. I checked out golf now for reviews on many of the courses surrounding our area (which were a ton). Graeagle meadows had great reviews and a very good special going on. Wow! This golf course was amazing! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! The course was challenging but the fairways were pretty generous. The only problem I had with the course was that they were irrigating the greens. Which made putting almost impossible. They are some challenging par 3's but nothing to get worried about. Also watch out for deers because this place is covered with them! Even my wife loved the course. She must have taken about a million photos. So if you love nature and golfing this is a perfect course to come visit. read more
