Great food. The menu is limited but the flavors are on point!!! A bit disappointed that get things they sell are all available to eat on the spot. Their ice coffee was very strong and delicious. The few items we tried from their menu were fantastic.! Will have to come back to try the rest.

A very cute shop for vietnamese food and dine in as well. They have deli items such as the vietnamese sausages/ham plus baos (buns with stuff inside). Theres a variety of banh mi's but couldn't try one because it was a holiday and they didn't have any bread that day. We got a few normal stuff such as bun bo heu, dry noodle bowl with grilled pork and banh cuon. All were very good to me! The vietnamese coffee was strong but it is made ahead of time and not fresh brewed right when you order but still good! They also have artichoke tea here!! Everyone was so nice. If you eat in, you can sit and theyll come take your order. Super friendly. It is the opposite side of where first oriental plaza is.

(9/6/2023) Came by for a late lunch during a workday and this was nearby. Felt like having something "soupy" that day. This totally hit the spot. it's not the watered down versions of Vietnamese soups or other dishes and this place is buried in the side strip mal in West Colonial Chinatown. You really have to want to find this place and I think you really do. It was totally worth a little bit of a wait, it's a very local-ish mom and pop type place. The Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu were very flavorful and had some deep layered funk, fish sauce, crab, tomato, and pork bones. Definitely this is a return and worth seeking out. I'm looking forward to trying all the things.

An unassuming hole in the wall that turns out to be one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Orlando! Nam Giao's clientele is mostly Vietnamese and they serve many traditional Vietnamese staple dishes that aren't available at other restaurants. "Banh cuon" and "bun cha Hanoi" are a few examples "Bun cha Hanoi" is the dish that Barack Obama ate with Anthony Bourdain in Vietnam. There's grilled pork AND grilled pork meatballs in a savory, sweet & slightly vinegary broth/sauce. You spoon that deliciousness over a bowl of rice noodles, pickled carrots+dikon threads, fresh veggies & herbs. If you like the classic Vietnamese "bun thit nuong" with grilled pork & rice or noodles with that sweet "nuoc mam" sauce, you need to come to Nam Giao and try the northern variation. Ask for "bun cha Hanoi."

loved this place! it's small with not a lot of room but very popular! went on a weekday during summer with some friends and had a nice experience. the food was delicious and a good portion for the price! they serve it with your choice of a canned soda. the cashier at the time was also our server and very hospitable.

Their bun bo is so good. I also got their nuoc mia and it tastes exactly like it does fresh in Vietnam!

I've been twice now, but I would be there all the time if I lived closer to Ocoee. It was a quick easy stop while I was on my way home from the Winter Garden area this weekend. They specialize in fresh baked Tigelle sandwiches which is an Italian flatbread. As someone who is watching my carb intake, I really like this thin, light bread. So far, I've tried the Bella Vita and the Picante (spicy) sandwiches. Both are amazing! They use super fresh Italian ingredients like soppressata, mozzarella, mortadella, prosciutto di parma, burrata, and pesto. The to-go packaging for their sandwiches is also on point. They have the cutest little yellow boxes and it's like unboxing a present. One of my absolute favorite things on the menu is their pistachio tiramisu dessert. It's probably one of the best desserts I've ever! I would drive here just for this alone. A MUST! The staff are all super friendly and happy to offer suggestions. Gabriel was so kind and I learned that he's actually from Italy. The cafe itself is small and cozy with some additional outdoor seating. You have to park on the backside of the building and walk around to the storefront. Highly recommended for great lunch spot or early dinner!

The bread was delicious and warm the meat was fresh. The pistachio cream was perfectly balanced. We did have a hard time finding the door. Staff were super helpful and friendly on the menu. Food came with fries or tots and they were super crispy and fresh. I ordered the Philly and overall I thought it was decent but not the best I've had. Staff gave us ranch and ketchup on the side so that was great. I would suggest coming earlier in the day vs towards the end of the day as the earlier experience and food was better. I ate their Cuban each time. One lacked pork, but generally the taste was good. The bread was a little soft compared to other Cuban sandwiches I have had, but for what it was, it was good enough. On one visit, I had French fries, and on the other, I had tots. I preferred the taste of the tots over the French fries. Ketchup is rationed out, as you need to ask someone behind the counter for ketchup. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich for my daughter, which she enjoyed. It was 3 pieces of bread and had lots of cheesy goodness, which makes for a delicious grilled cheese. They had a couple of swinging bench seats, which were unique and fun for the kids to sit on. This was a good option for a fairly quick meal. I would eat here again.

It's perfect for a delicious, quick lunch in a spacious environment with good parking (even in the MetroWest area).   I had the Mallorca Sandwich ($12), which comes with ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. I was asked "do you want it with powdered sugar on top?" and was like "Why are you even asking me this question right now? OF COURSE I want powdered sugar." This sandwich is delicious, and eating a sandwich with such a sweet bread is not something I would have considered asking for on my own, but it was great.   I also tried one of each type of their empanadas (about $2-3 each): beef, chicken, cheese, and Hawaiian (ham, cheese, and pineapple). All were delicious and very filling for the money.   If you're eating in the MetroWest area, it can be very hard to find parking in the surrounding plazas, and even harder to feel comfortable once you're inside wherever you chose to eat because of how crowded they are (the Brazilian food mart and Pie-fection in the plaza next door with Chase and Tropical Smoothie feel very claustrophobic during lunch), but Mecato's is between McDonald's and Chipotle and had decent parking, even at lunch time. Inside, there was plenty of seating that felt spacious and comfortable.   This is a good spot for a quick lunch in the Valencia College area, and I'll definitely be back!

Service is generally pretty quick. They aren't typically super packed either, which is a great thing, which aids in service being pretty quick. The staff is super kind and attentive. There is ample seating indoors and even some outdoor seating. If you are at the DTO location, and want to sit outdoors, there will be no shortage of things to view if you dine out in their outdoor seating area (DTO is always full of characters). As far as the food and beverages go, I can only speak to a few things because I am a creature of habit. I typically get mostly pastries & breakfast items from Mecatos. My go-to order is the cream cheese quesitos and guava & cream cheese quesitos. I usually pair it with a small hot tea or caramel latte. It's quick. It's easy and it is very TASTY - every single time. Their price points are FANTASTIC, so you are not really breaking the bank for something light to-go. If you are dining in for their other entrees, the prices points are still reasonable. Overall, everything I've had has been really good. I'll continue to patron Macatos!
