Great food. The menu is limited but the flavors are on point!!! A bit disappointed that get things they sell are all available to eat on the spot. Their ice coffee was very strong and delicious. The few items we tried from their menu were fantastic.! Will have to come back to try the rest.

A very cute shop for vietnamese food and dine in as well. They have deli items such as the vietnamese sausages/ham plus baos (buns with stuff inside). Theres a variety of banh mi's but couldn't try one because it was a holiday and they didn't have any bread that day. We got a few normal stuff such as bun bo heu, dry noodle bowl with grilled pork and banh cuon. All were very good to me! The vietnamese coffee was strong but it is made ahead of time and not fresh brewed right when you order but still good! They also have artichoke tea here!! Everyone was so nice. If you eat in, you can sit and theyll come take your order. Super friendly. It is the opposite side of where first oriental plaza is.

(9/6/2023) Came by for a late lunch during a workday and this was nearby. Felt like having something "soupy" that day. This totally hit the spot. it's not the watered down versions of Vietnamese soups or other dishes and this place is buried in the side strip mal in West Colonial Chinatown. You really have to want to find this place and I think you really do. It was totally worth a little bit of a wait, it's a very local-ish mom and pop type place. The Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu were very flavorful and had some deep layered funk, fish sauce, crab, tomato, and pork bones. Definitely this is a return and worth seeking out. I'm looking forward to trying all the things.

An unassuming hole in the wall that turns out to be one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Orlando! Nam Giao's clientele is mostly Vietnamese and they serve many traditional Vietnamese staple dishes that aren't available at other restaurants. "Banh cuon" and "bun cha Hanoi" are a few examples "Bun cha Hanoi" is the dish that Barack Obama ate with Anthony Bourdain in Vietnam. There's grilled pork AND grilled pork meatballs in a savory, sweet & slightly vinegary broth/sauce. You spoon that deliciousness over a bowl of rice noodles, pickled carrots+dikon threads, fresh veggies & herbs. If you like the classic Vietnamese "bun thit nuong" with grilled pork & rice or noodles with that sweet "nuoc mam" sauce, you need to come to Nam Giao and try the northern variation. Ask for "bun cha Hanoi."

loved this place! it's small with not a lot of room but very popular! went on a weekday during summer with some friends and had a nice experience. the food was delicious and a good portion for the price! they serve it with your choice of a canned soda. the cashier at the time was also our server and very hospitable.

Their bun bo is so good. I also got their nuoc mia and it tastes exactly like it does fresh in Vietnam!

We started with the crispy chicken dumplings--crispy on the outside with a juicy, tender chicken filling. Perfect way to kick things off. We continued with three items: Beef Stew (Bún Bò Kho), Orange Chicken, and Sautéed Cubed Beef "Shaking Beef" (Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc). The Beef Stew (Bún Bò Kho) was heaven on a dish. The beef stew was easily the standout--rich, flavorful, and the beef was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The vermicelli noodles were just as impressive. Just reminiscing about it makes my mouth water. The "Shaking Beef" was served over white rice (highly recommend), and every bite was better than the last. The garlic butter sauce really takes it over the top. Don't be fooled by the Orange Chicken--Boneless chicken, fried perfectly and coated in their authentic sweet orange sauce. The best Orange Chicken in town, hands down. No chance of leftovers here--you won't want to put your fork down.

From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and incredible aromas set the stage for a fantastic dining experience. I ordered a traditional beef pho with added oxtails, and it exceeded all expectations. The broth was rich, deeply flavorful, and clearly simmered with care for hours. Every spoonful delivered a perfect balance of savory spices and comforting warmth. The beef was tender ano plentiful, while the fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeños allowed me to customize each bite exactly to my taste. I also added tendon which was so delicious and melted in your mouth! The portion size was generous, making it an excellent value, and everything tasted exceptionally fresh. I also tried a Vietnamese iced coffee, which provided the perfect sweet and bold complement to the meal. What truly stood out was the combination of authentic flavors, attentive service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're a longtime pho enthusiast or trying Vietnamese cuisine for the first time, this restaurant is well worth a visit. If you're in the Orlando area and looking for a comforting, flavorful meal, I highly recommend stopping by-you won't leave hungry, and you'll likely be planning your next visit before you even finish your bowl.

Then we had the C10 platter which is this steak platter with vegetables and rice and we also had the Pad Thai. The dishes were so flavorful and the portions are very generous. I honestly will need to come back because they have so many options, including hot pot. Service was so friendly, you literally feel right at home. I cannot wait to be back and try the rest of the menu. Oh and don't forget to order the fried bananas for dessert!

The exterior of the restaurant looks decrepit and the interior is starting to fall apart and features half a dozen or so tables. The crab that they put inside the egg roll is imitation. Moved on to the Iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk and it was strong and tasty, The bun bo hue was quite flavorful and had plenty of meats, including a giant pig trotter. I've been a couple times now and it is definitely a good choice when you aren't craving specifically pho or bun bo hue. Inside is small but with limited seating but just enough during peak meal times. Most tables are for groups of 2-4 so not recommended for large groups. Turnaround seems pretty quick. The service is friendlier than most I've seen at Vietnamese restaurants. Love the bun rieu here! Pair it with an iced ca phe sua da for that well-rounded meal. This place stays busy, especially during lunch and dinner hours, so expect a little wait during peak times. The dining room can get packed and lively, but that just adds to the energy. The pho is the main draw. When the broth is on point, it's rich, aromatic, and deeply comforting -- exactly what you want in a solid bowl of phở. The portions are generous, noodles are cooked well, and the fresh herbs and bean sprouts round everything out nicely. Their combination pho is a safe choice, and the vermicelli bowls and rice plates are great alternatives if you're not in a soup mood. That said, the broth can sometimes be a little inconsistent in flavor. Some visits it's bold and perfectly balanced; other times it may lean lighter and need a bit of extra lime or sauce to adjust to your taste. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's noticeable if you're a regular. Overall, Pho Huong Lan remains a dependable, comforting, and very popular Vietnamese staple. Come hungry, expect a crowd, and enjoy a satisfying bowl of pho.

There's not enough street food places out there! One of my biggest complaints is that there isn't…read moreenough places that serves street food. I think any time you go to a restaurant that serves a type of ethnic cuisine, they focuses on the main or big dishes. For example, Vietnamese restaurants will always feature pho somehow and Cuban restaurants will always feature the Cuban sandwich in some capacity. However, street food or dishes that are small and meant for grab and go and sharing and to be affordable is not often featured at big sit down restaurants. The other thing is when street food is featured on a fancy sit down menu, the small plates and street food always cost more than it should in my opinion. Z Asian really surprised me in that I didn't think the prices were to unfair and it still felt elevated. They are a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. We went here for a date night after watching Obsession. By the way, the movie is one of the best horror movies of this year in my opinion and I think a lot of people's opinion. We parked in the back lot as they don't really have a whole lot of street parking. That was confusing entering the restaurant since we entered from the back and it wasn't clear if the restaurant was open or if we walked in through the wrong door. We got seated fast and the waitress was really nice and engaging. We ordered banh khot, which is basically a mini banh xeo. Banh khot is an eggy crepe mixture that is panfried into a circle and a small amount of seafood is placed into the middle of it. It's small and finger food sized and served with pickled veggies and fresh lettuce and fish sauce to drizzle or dip. My rating is a 9.5/10. It was crispy and full of flavor. We also tried the mango tofu salad. It's similar to a ceviche. This was a 9/10. It has a little heat to it but very good and not too wet. We then ordered grilled mussels with is what it sounds like. It's mussels halves grilled with fish sauce and crushed peanuts sprinkled on top. I rate this a 8/10. I never see this in restaurants. On a good day, I can crush like 20 of these and call it girl dinner. We got the grilled corn as well. This is corn kernels grilled in butter and garlic topped with Sriracha. I rate this a 6.5/10. I think it's a good street dished but it underwhelmed me because it's just the corn and there wasn't a vehicle to deliver it to my mouth. The last item we tried was the grilled chicken rice noodles. This was a flavorful dish of veggies and chicken and rice noodles that are cooked in a pan. The rating is a 8.5/10. My overall rating is 9/10. They bill was on the higher end but I felt like it was worth the food we were eating the service and ambiance.
