The pickled veggies didn't really have much taste either. Kind of tasted like I was eating sweet bread with cilantro and jalapeños. Service: not super friendly - we weren't greeted at all and didn't even get asked if we needed help ordering. The ordering system is fully in Vietnamese with the incorrect currency set. We even asked where the menu is so we can look to see exactly what is in each sandwich, but was left with no response. (FYI menu poster is on the side where the grocery store is). Contrary to popular belief... THIS is how Vietnamese coffee is meant to be served. The aunties here really nailed it; the coffee concentrate is STRONG and delicious. Your cup isn't half full, you have to let the ice melt to water down the concentrate and mix it! I prefer an airy and crunchy baguette for my banh mi, so this was a fantastic option. You can't go wrong with a Banh Mi Dac Biet or, my favorite, Banh Mi Cha Lua. More than the banh mi though, Bamita has me coming out on a weekly basis for their Vietnamese Iced Coffee -- specifically their Egg Coffee. Don't knock it til you try it -- the whipped sweet egg topping is more akin to a fluffy custard and it pairs perfectly with the rich flavor the espresso. Honestly, it tastes so good that it's dangerous because I want to come back for it multiple times a day. Service is always quick, friendly, and courteous -- 1000% recommend. We've tried a few items such as the Dac Biet which is the one that has different kind of cuts, Grilled pork, Egg Cream Ice Coffee and the small thin baguette sticks. They are filled with the creamy mayo, pate and the fixins for a regular banh mi. I think what I like about it is that is that everything is fresh and isn't stale especially when you eat it there. The bread is crunchy and has a bit of chew while the ingredients is layered perfectly. The people there were kind and provided good service. The kiosk have you able to view your order but I believe you have to let them put in the order. They have a few chairs and stools to sit but not abundant amount of seating. This is definitely a hidden gem in Orlando! It's inside of the Vietnamese supermarket next to Happy Lemon. One thing that stood out to me was the wonderful ambience of this café. I attached some pictures but as you can see, it is well decorated inside and is very charming. In terms of the offerings, they have a few unique drinks that you may not find in the Orlando area. For example, I got the egg coffee which was delicious and this is the only place in Orlando that serves this type of Vietnamese coffee. They also have coffee with salted cream as well as the ube cream. Another thing is you can tell that the owner of this café really cares for the items that they are putting out for example with the coffee he noted to my family that he likes to take his time when he's creating the coffee to ensure that every drink is properly well-made. Furthermore, my group had the banh mi here, my family is Vietnamese and has tried every place in Orlando, with that being said they have declared this the best banh mi in Orlando currently. I hope they do well! As mentioned it is hidden from the main street, but if you drive into the plaza where Happy Lemon is, go into the grocery store and you will see it inside on the right. read more

I have found it takes a lot to mess up a banh mi and the vast majority of places do them really well, however the one thing that sets this place apart is how they package their sandwiches. They come with only the meats in the bread itself and everything else in a baggie: the pickled veggies, jalapeno, sauce, and even a plastic glove to assemble and eat with. Simply put, this is a traveler's dream: banh mi was already a go-to food for me to take onto planes, but this takes it to a whole other level of convenience and preserves the bread from getting too soggy. That said, it does create more plastic waste for times you're just grabbing a quick lunch and would've eaten it right away...but I guess there are plenty of other places nearby that might be better suited. This was place is so delicious and has quickly become one of my favorite places to get banh mi. The bread is nicely toasted and the bread to topping ratio is great. The pork one has such a great seasoning on it. They also have slim sandwiches if you're not feeling a heavy meal. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The place is tight and small, but they have a door that opens to bar seating in front of the Oriental Supermarket entrance. The only disappointing thing I would say was their coffee. The coffee comes over a large amount of ice in a big cup. It only gets filled about halfway or just over halfway. The coffee is a bit strong that it blends well with the cream. I got the special combination (dac biet). The packaging was cute it tells you how long to air fry the banh mi for. The banh mi itself looked underwhelming and very simple so I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. It had all the Vietnamese deli cuts you would expect in a banh mi and they also put dried shredded pork (cha bong), which heightened the flavor profile to a whole other level!
