This place is 100% authentic and great Vietnamese food. Even my daughter ate the food and she isn't a seafood lover. It's a family owned restaurant and was very nice to us. You have to try this place, it's a must stop

We came here again in 2026 and the food still tastes great and service was excellent!

We haven't had the best luck with asian food in the Orlando area in the past so our set our expectations pretty low when we decided to eat here. We wanted to order the lobster but they said they were sold out. I thought it was a sign that we should just leave but we decided to try a few dishes - snails with mango salad, razor clam with tamarind, escargot with lemongrass and grilled squid with satay. Everything we tried was good. The favorite was the mango salad. We ended up getting a second order because that's all my mom really liked. The razor clams were just ok. The tamarind sauce was good but I think I prefer grilled razor clams. For the escargot, we meant to order the stir fried version so it was our fault for not paying attention. The lemongrass broth was pretty good though. The grilled squid wasn't bad but we've had better. The sauces that went with the were ok as well.

Discovered this place back in 2023 and was very excited to come back with my picky eating parents while visiting Orlando. My mom enjoyed the meal very much and said it was probably the best thing she ate our whole trip. The hotpot is so good with a lot of flavor. Comes with a good assortment of meats, seafood and vegetables. Shared it amongst 3 adults and it was perfect. Restaurant is a nice size good for groups. Looking forward to visiting again in the future. Enjoy!

The peach iced tea with orange and lemongrass is the best, most refreshing drink on a hot day! It comes a little sweet for my taste, but nothing another cup of iced water to mix can't fix. It's almost like 2 drinks for the price of 1! The goi bo tai chanh had an amazing flavor with the herby salad and chopped, roasted peanuts. The sesame cracker was the perfect pairing for it. The com chien cua is the perfect filler dish to round out the whole meal. There's a good amount of crab and veggies in the fried rice and there are bits of crispy rice to add a crunchy texture. Loved it! The razor clams are a must-get and so interesting. True to Vietnamese flavors with the nuoc mam, peanuts, and mo hanh. So good! The only thing we didn't like were the apple snails. The meat itself was shriveled up and just did not taste good. The Thai sauce lacked a little flavor surprsingly. Overall, the food and service was great!

Mama Lau gave me one of the most authentic flavors in the Orlando area. This is the perfect place to have a comforting meal. The broth on the Bon bo hue and Pho were spectacular. All the spices and herbs were present in the flavor creating the right taste. The place is small, but very cozy and organized. Servers were nice enough to explain some dishes to people in my party who were not that familiar with the dishes. Definitely a must!

I love escargot and this restaurant has it. This is a Vietnamese restaurant that serve this type of food. They also has the razor clam. This restaurant serves some exotic food. Price is not cheap. We got two different escargot dishes. We have the steam escargot with lemon grass. We also got the grill escargot with sate. The lemon grass is like soup with escargot. This escargot has some sand in it. It can clean better. The grill escargot is the larger escargot. With sate sauce. Both dish is good. Value is just ok for the food. But value is just ok. May be the razor clam is better.

Great place for Vietnamese food. I wish we had time to try the seafood. Perhaps another time. The beef pho, Bun bo hue, and crab and tomatoe noodles soup were all delicious. Service is quick and they have an extensive menu.

Goi oc is yummy. One of the great dish we had. Oc mong tay was also good. First time tried that ever. Tamarind sauce made that dish one of my favorite. Oc nuong tieu was also tasty. Hot vit lon was cooked to perfect not so soft or hard. Mixed in tamarind sauce was quite an experience. One of the surprised dish was com bo luc lac. It was cooked in high heat and provide awesome taste. It reminds me mi xao don in vietnam. I would order that that anytime. We ended the evening with hotpot and it was a good choice. It has all sort of flavors mixed in. The bad (not so good). None of the drinks we ordered were any good at all. Oc huong was hard and not marinated enough. Ngeu hap xa was not so fresh at all. Oc buou nuong muoi ot was so plain. The other com dishes were ok nothing special at all. I know I missed other dishes but none of them stood out. Overall it was quite expensive and small portion. There were some great unique dishes but the rest were nothing special. If you like spicy food you will be disappointed. Prepare to ask for more chili. The service was typical vietnamese. No smile from the waitress. The female owner was abit pushy when we started ordering the first few dishes. After we started ordering more she became more happy I would come again since it has some unique dishes.

How is this place anything below 5 stars?? Don't let the other reviews fool you.. it's AMAZING! We stopped in at the referral of a friend who described the seafood as being absolutely to die for, and I must say that I agree! We ordered the cockles and oysters, and they were so unique and delicious. The cockles were topped with peanuts, fish sauce, green onion and egg mint, and the oysters were topped with green onions and egg mint, and both accompanied with a plate containing fish sauce, salt/pepper, lime and chilis. I loved the combination of flavors, and will never want to eat shellfish any other way. Can't wait to go back and try the razor clams and mussels next! Along with the seafood, my husband ordered the pho and I ordered the caramelized fish and pork. Now, I personally never order pho when we go out to eat because the broth is always just meh, and I prefer homemade, but I always taste his broth and this one was absolutely amazing! The amount of flavor and layers of complexity in the broth was by far the best I've tasted at a restaurant to date. I even ended up making a small bowl for myself! The caramelized fish and pork was also amazing! Not overly thick or sweet, and packed full of meat. I also want to mention that the service was really outstanding. I think our server may have been the owner, and he was just so nice and super friendly. Even when it took us forever to decide what to order (he stopped by twice to take our order and we still weren't ready), he was still smiling by the 3rd attempt and told us that we made some really good ordering choices. He checked back frequently, promptly cleared away empty dishes, brought togo boxes, and always did it with a smile and truly pleasant manner. I can't say enough great things about this place, and can't wait to come back and further explore the menu!

Vietnamese hotpot and shellfish at its finest! Mama Lua & Oc is a hidden gem in Orlando! I'm a fan of Vietnamese hotpot, and this restaurant takes it to the next level with their Vietnamese seafood hotpot. The broth was aromatic, and the menu selection was impressive. We ordered so much food and everything was amazing. Perfect for a cozy, family dining experience.

This place was recommend by a Vietnamese friend and it did not disappoint. We had a family style (shared) meal been 4 of us. 3 different snail dishes in different styles: * sweet coconut broth * lemongrass spicy broth * Salad One oyster dish, one clam, and one cockle... Wide variety of flavors and would like to go again. Maybe next time at least one rice or noodles dish to get a little more full

My absolute go-to (and forever favorite) is the Tom Yum broth -- it's rich, aromatic, and packed with that perfect balance of sour, spicy, and savory. I love customizing it the way I grew up enjoying Thai hot pot by adding extra mushrooms, tomatoes, chili peppers, cilantro, green onions, garlic, and a squeeze of lime juice. Paper lanterns, Japanese signs covering the walls, colorful vintage décor, wooden stools that politely remind you to finish eating instead of lingering for three hours--it all adds to the charm. It's casual, lively, and full of personality. The menu has plenty to explore, but I came for the yakitori. Since everything is ordered à la carte, I built my own assortment of skewers, and every single one was grilled beautifully over charcoal. We decided to sit at the circle bar and did the regular hot pot . I think we would have liked to do a table to have a grille but we can do that next time. They give you a ton of broth to cook everything which is nice . I just think some of the quality of the food wasn't the greatest. Like the crabs were blue crabs with barely any meat. The meats were just okay. The stuff on the conveyors was just okay quality . For 35 bucks a person would I go back? Maybe not just for hot pot but I would try the grille . I would even spend a bit more for better quality stuff. But overall it was a great fist try doing hot pot!

This is my favorite place in Orlando for hot pot!…read more This restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and decor. I love the conveyer belt that brings food around. Every time I come here I leave stuffed to the brim! They have an excellent selection of noodles, toppings, sauces, protein, eggs, veggies, etc. And it's all you can eat so make sure you come hungry! I normally get the tom yum soup base. It's so flavorful with a sour taste and a slight kick to it without being over powering. I find that the price point is completely worth it for the amount of food you get. Literally a whole pot of soup and endless meats and toppings. Note is there is a limit on the amount of people at a table to 6 people, so if you have more than that in your party and you all are getting hot pot, you will have to sit at the counter like seating where you will be side by side not at a table. Will never get enough of top top hot pot.

Prepare for the SPICE!…read more My husband and I love hot pot and each place we love has a speciality that we come back for. Bashu Hot Pot had the best broth -- we always get the Sichuan Spicy and the Beef Tallow, and have never been disappointed. Their broth is the most consistent in flavor and quality; if you request extra spicy, be warned that it gets intense here. The pots have a little sectioned off area that holds the peppercorns and other aromatics, and the longer the broth sits, the more those spices diffuse into the broth. My husband nearly died when he ordered the Extra Spicy and learned his lesson by the end of our visit. But, the broth is so good, we always come back for more. The selection of meats, seafood, and vegetables is fresh and varied! We've brought some picky eaters and everyone is always able to find stuff that they like. The sauce bar is also great. They have two dessert soups that were a wonderful and cooling end to our hot meal. I had two bowls of each! Service is always good here. There's only a few servers, but they somehow always stay on top of things. The restaurant always looks clean and I love the decor inside. It feels like we're eating at a stall in a traditional village or something like that -- I don't know how to explain it. My only tiff here is that their drink menu is all bottled or canned, unless you're doing hot tea and water. It's not a big thing, but is good to note. Overall, I highly recommend Bashu and I've never had a bad experience here. 5 Stars.
