One of the best lunch specials I've had in recent memory. I got the butter chicken with garlic naan and it was so flavorful and warm and filling. I asked for medium spice and it had a good kick. There was a side of onion chutney that added some nice zip to balance the richness of the butter chicken sauce. The naan was fluffy and hot and the rice was perfectly cooked. That spicy chicken tika sauce yes! Came here for dinner on a Sunday night and it wasn't too crowded. The restaurant is nice with a few tables for dining in but there is also an order at the counter for pick up and to go orders. My bf and I decided to order some veggie momos to start and decided to share the chicken tika and the chickpea masala. The waiter was very nice and attentive and quickly took our order. The momos came with a yummy sauce which we enjoyed as we dipped each Momo with ever bite. When the chicken tika came out it was sizzling and smoking and it was so loud because it was on a hot cast iron dish and it smelled so good! The chicken tika came with this super tasty, spicy dipping sauce which I had never had with this dish before, and it really blew us away! I wanted a bucket of this sauce on all my meats! ASAP! The chicken was super tender and juicy and the sauce made it irresistible! We really liked this dish and quickly finished it. We each should of gotten our own order of chicken tika! The naan bread with the chickpeas masala was perfect and our rice was nice and fluffy. We thought we were going to have leftovers but we literally wiped our plates clean! Newest Indian and Nepali cuisine in town. Take out and delivery only at this time. But there are about 3 benches for outdoor seating on those days with nice weather. I'm guessing their momos are the thing to get and pretty great value on their combos. Momos are basically dumplings. I mean every culture has their versions of dumplings one way or another. Dinner rush during the new opening might be a little slow to get your order. read more

A very cute place which was very busy when we went around 7PM on Friday. Needless to say the food was a bit delayed. The one person waiting o all the five tables was a bit too much. The dipping sauce that came with the Naan is amazing. The Shrimp Korma was delicious, the Tandoori chicken was ok. It was worth the visit. Hope they get more help on busy days. read more

Had to try this place based on the reviews, it absolutely hit the mark and lived up to the hype. The food is simply excellent. Some of the best Indian food I have had anywhere with unique flavors and complexities that I've never tasted before. Portions are large and the prices are extremely reasonable especially when compared with any other Indian restaurant in the area. The staff and service were extremely courteous, kind, and attentive. Very warm, personal, and wholesome vibes. I hope this restaurant does well for years to come. Only thing I will mention is that the indoor dining space is small and stuffed into a small space. That being said everything else was a class above and I feel Namaste Spice deserves a five star rating. Street parking and there is no alcohol on the menu currently if that matters to you. read more

Great takeout meal. The lamb momos were AMAZING ... my dog, Chloe, stole the last one off our kitchen table and seemed completely satisfied :). The two curries and the garlic nan were excellent, though not transcendent in the way that the momos were. Staff are very friendly. There is outdoor seating which could be quite nice on a summer evening. We will definitely return. read more

Cute place, delicious food, and reasonably priced. It's mostly takeout but there are a few tables and I do enjoy eating there when I have the time. Being vegan, it's nice that they have things clearly marked as vegan on the menu, though I wish their vegetable momo were vegan -- I haven't asked but I assume they're made with butter or ghee. I don't know why, as this doesn't seem to be all that common in Nepal. None of the other Nepali restaurants in Arlington have vegan momo either though, so who knows... gotta go to Somerville for that, sadly. Anyway yeah, good place, highly recommended. read more

The thing we didn't understand from the other reviews is that this is basically a takeout/delivery place with about four tables. We'd driven out from East Cambridge and needed a bathroom by the time we got there, but they don't have one! They sent us to a Chinese (primarily takeout) place three doors down and they took pity on us and let us use theirs. The Thai place (Boonoon) next door claimed not to have a bathroom either. The very helpful Namaste Spice waiter insisted that they'll have a bathroom soon. He kept our water glasses full while we waited for our out-of-town guest to join us. The menu was adequate but not extensive, with both Indian and Nepali dishes. So this place is ALL about the food, which was wonderful! We started with both chicken and lamb momos, and both orders came with a delicious sauce, spicy but not hot. They were out of papadum. We ordered shrimp and chicken saag for our entrees, and the shrimp were amazingly delicious. The gulab jamun (the only dessert offered) were small but delicious, and the chai tea was very good. We were enjoying talking with our guest, but had to leave before we would have liked to seek a bathroom. So the service and the food were great, but the bathroom situation needs fixing. We'll definitely be back once they have one. read more

We were excited to try new food option in Arlington and got dinner from here on Friday night. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. we got samosas which were undercooked and cold. The dosa and sambar was similarly not cooked well and there was no coconut chutney included. Even the papadum was raw in places. We would like to see this place do well and hope it was an off night. I hope we can change this review in the future. read more

The food is improved since their opening. Chicken korma, chicken Momo's, saag paneer, naan, samosa were all very good. Medium was a good spice level. Paneer bhurjee and chicken curry were good but I think I like other menu choices better. Most other restaurants have slightly better naan in my opinion - I like it a little more chewy - more gluten I guess. Their papadum was a little disappointing - missing the spice (dark flecks) usually found in other restaurants' versions. read more

So thrilled to have a new Indian/Napali cuisine in East Arlington MA. The owners are very nice and welcoming. We ordered the food to go (they do have a few tables for indoor & outdoor eating). We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (mild spice - perfect to taste, very tender and the sauce was delicious), Aloo Palak (spinach & potatoes- very tasty dish), garlic Naan which was one big size shaped like a disc - amazingly fluffy and moist -one of the best Naan; we also ordered Mango lassi - delicious!!! We will definitely go back to this restaurant again and we pray this restaurant will be successful. read more

Namaste Spice is a terrific new restaurant edition to East Arlington! I've been eagerly awaiting this restaurant to open up because, as most of us know, Arlington really needs some high-quality Indian Food which has dwindled in Arlington over the last few years. The service was outstanding, very warm, friendly, helpful, and eager to accept feedback on their tasty new menu items. The vegetable Pakora was hands-down the best I've ever had in and Great or Boston! Perfectly fried, crispy and delicious and moist on the inside. The Garlic Naan was absolutely delicious. It is little different than your typical Indian restaurant Naan. Slightly thinner with tasty garlic and seasoning on the top, is absolutely out of this world and the Naan all perfectly and evenly cooked. Again, I can say this is the best interpretation of Naan I have ever enjoyed. The Chicken Tiki Masala was delicious with fresh chicken tender, and perfectly cooked. The Saag Paneer was also very good. The paneer was very fresh and delicate, the Medium spiced heat was perfect. I would highly recommend this lovely new spot on Mass Avenue in East Arlington. I'm hoping everyone in Arlington can support this new East Arlington collection of fresh new restaurants! We are so lucky to have another new tasty restaurant here in Arlington. read more
