Went in hoping to get an hour massage. My masseuse had strong hands and the massage was great! Half way thru she encouraged me to extend to a 90 mins. I said ok. It's was the decision I made that day!! The massage was great. My masseuse knew how to hit this target points ver well. But I can only do 4 stars. This place again did not have doors. I don't know if this is a new regulation or what but I could hear the employees arguing outside my room. On top of that I could hear the employees arguing with customers. Very unprofessional!! I went to Yelp reviews to find good recommendations for massage (oh my aching back!). Based on reviews, I went with Nana Massage. I made an appointment and ended up getting bumped out 40 minutes. Luckily my schedule was ok with this. I showed up for my 1 hour massage and was shown the room almost immediately. I will say that there was a bit of a communication issue due to the heavy accent of the therapist but not a deal breaker. The massage itself was very good with effleurage, petrissage and percussion techniques. There was some light stretches of the arm/wrist, legs/ankles which was nice. The hot stones were fantastic. This was one of the better messages I've received in years. The only real negative was hearing the door chime and lobby noise since the separation between the hall and room was a heavy curtain. After reading so many positive reviews I decided to give this place a try last night. I've been in such pain that I needed some relief. I went in and was greeted and taken into a room right away. Very relaxing and quiet actually. I could agree that you do hear when other customers come in and they do have to run out to attend them or tend to the phone, but no big deal. I felt the massage was long enough and they did tend to all my areas of concern, but I was not asked about my distes pressure or areas of focus. I also didn't get much attention to my feet as they needed some TLC as well. I was displeased or angry just unhappy with the pressure. I know I'm a tall big guy, but I also would like to enjoy my massage. And this could just be my fault too because at the end I could have spoken up and I chose not too. I had such high hopes. I got to Visalia after a 14 hour travel day with a tension headache that proceeded into my neck and shoulders and back. I was so pumped to find a place open late and can get me in. They were very nice. But... my Theropist didn't speak ANY English, so it was hard to communicate my desires and problems. She didn't even ask. I booked a 90 min. Her hands were fast. Not soothing and purposeful and relaxing. It wasn't very relaxing at all. The only think covering me was a towel, and even when she wasn't working on my bottom, I was still fully exposed. If she wasn't working on my bottom, I would have liked to have been covered. And she left the room multiple times, though to get hot stones or a hot towel, I didn't hear the door fully shut when she left. We actually had a nice conversation about life and they actually offer lots of different services. They offer deep tissue, hot stone, ashiatsu aka back walking, and reflexology. This place is just a nice place to come when you need a break from all hectic activities that happen throughout the day. Both our massages were to our desired pressure level (mine hard, hers medium) Their technique was different from traditional (i think swedish) massage and i found the feeling during and after results somewhat better. We felt more as if they were moving energy around than just working muscles. I felt at home and comfortable in the room and at ease with the staff who seemed to really care and were genuinely invested in doing good work. And I couldn't do a walk in with the other five stars massage places. So I thought I gave Nana Massage a try after work because I was in pain and couldn't see my physical therapist until I get back to Sacramento. The experience was amazing. I've went to many massage parlors but this one is the best. A lady by the name of Nini gave me a deep tissue massage. I was sore the other day from pick-up basketball and the massage just loosened my muscles up. I thought the massage would be really hard on my body because usually when I go, I come back feeling relaxed but also slightly in pain. But after going to this parlor I felt so relived.
