I have been going to Aria Nails since it opened and overall I do like their service, which is why I continue to come back. That said, for the price, there are a few things that should be more consistent. I usually get the Volcano pedicure, which is listed at $75 and includes an additional 10 minute massage. About half the time I receive the full 10 minutes, and the other half it feels closer to 6 to 8 minutes. I realize that may sound minor, but when something is specifically advertised, I expect it to be consistent. It is less about the time itself and more about the expectation that is set. Overall, I still return because my experiences here have been better than other places I have tried in the area. With a little more consistency, this would easily be a higher rating. read more

I wish I had left when I was placed in a broken chair. I knew right away that my tech was very frustrated by my use of English. He was trying but even hand gestures and pointing didn't help. He was kind. Understand that a person can be kind and frustrated. I tried asking about the Rose mentioned in the service. I'm allergic to Rose and my prior services offered mango. Apparently only management could answer. I'm inferring that there was a change in management or ownership. I'm guessing management by the broken items and lack of options. This used to be fun and a guilty pleasure. Now I feel awful for the staff that are not getting sick days off and I'm in fear of options that will most likely cause an allergic reaction. I will miss the quality and camaraderie with the techs (staff). The gentleman performed the services that I paid for. He was professional. I just wish I could have had all of the services I wanted. I came in because they're currently offering a great deal: a free manicure with a pedicure or 20% off a full set with a pedicure. I thought it sounded perfect, so I chose the pedicure and originally planned to do a builder gel full set as well. Unfortunately, my experience with the nail tech, Lily, was really disappointing. While doing my pedicure, she seemed more focused on what was going on around her than paying attention to my nails. She cut my big toenail noticeably slanted, and when I politely pointed it out and asked if she could straighten it, she started cutting the opposite side that was already fine instead of fixing the uneven part. In the end, it still wasn't corrected. At that point, I got nervous about having a full set done and decided to switch to just the free manicure instead. Sadly, the manicure also turned out poorly. My nails are uneven/slanted and there are bubbles in the polish. What also felt odd was the checkout process. She first handed me a ticket listing the pedicure and manicure separately with her name, Lily, totaling the correct service breakdown. Then she came back with a new ticket that simply said "Lily $75" without listing the actual services. When I checked out, they tried charging me the full amount until I reminded them the manicure promotion should have been free. To their credit, they did correct the total. The salon itself is clean and nice, and the front desk staff were polite, but unfortunately I keep seeming to get technicians who appear inexperienced. Loan is the BEST! I have gone to her twice and she can literally do anything you show her! I have come in with pictures of what I want and she ends up making them look even better than the picture. I gave them multiple chances, but after three separate attempts to have my nails fixed, it became too frustrating. My acrylic nails would fall off completely within a day or two, and the gel polish consistently peeled off shortly after application--something I've never experienced at other salons in Visalia. Unlike many other places in Visalia, they actually soak your fingernails as part of the manicure! The deluxe package includes hot stones if you want the paraffin wax. Was not a fan of the stones. Way too hot for me. Everything was very clean, and the service was great. It's nice to know that it's not just fancy decorations and drinks served there; the staff genuinely provides good service. I've gone to this salon twice; both times brought in by a discount/promo that felt too good to pass up. Both times I left unsatisfied. The salon looks luxurious, and that's genuinely the best thing I can say about it. The manager/owner is nice. Customer service: When I couldn't understand my nail tech, I politely said so, she became visibly irritated and short with me for the rest of the appointment. Not a great way to spend an hour. The pedicure: Very basic. Lotion was rubbed on, not massaged. The mani/nail service: I was charged extra for builder gel that I didn't really want or felt I needed but the nail tech said I needed it for the design I wanted. She applied it like a base coat- no apex building, no structure. I brought an inspiration photo, she photographed it before starting, and then didn't reference it. When I noticed I didn't like how one of the designs came out and asked if we could just wipe it off and leave it plain she said she couldn't change it and that it was too late. I didn't want to be difficult so I just said OK. First visit: They didn't paint down to my cuticles, so my nails looked grown out a bit when I left. I've maybe gone to Aria about 5 times now and I've had the worst experience! Some of their employees lack customer service so much! I went yesterday to get a fill on my builder gel polish and one of my nails was breaking so the lady fixed it and tried to charge me 5 dollars extra for that? She said it's because she had to make it new again, but I didn't understand what she was making new. All she did was take the nail tip off that I originally had on my nail and left my real nail that had grown underneath to be the main base now which she proceeded to just apply more builder gel on top instead of giving me a new nail tip (again I was already there for a builder gel fill) luckily my nails had grown out long enough that she could use it as a base but proceeded to try and charge me extra for that? So when I went to pay, I questioned why I was being charged extra when all she did was add more builder gel. She never gave me a new nail tip ? I was already there for a builder gel fill, she didn't do anything special for that nail that was breaking? I could understand if she had applied a new nail tip and had to redo it all, but she didn't do that. So at the cashier when I questioned the guy, he had to ask her why she was trying to charge me five dollars more and she proceeded to yell at me and get upset as to why I was questioning the cashier... I couldn't believe it! It was so embarrassing she caused a whole scene at the nail salon all because I was wanting to understand why I was being charged more ? Instantly yelled at me in front of everyone asked me why I was questioning the cashier or questioning anything at all. I will never be going back here again. I came here with a group of ladies to get mani/pedis done for my future sister-in-law's wedding. We booked the VIP room and felt fancy. The massage chairs were nice. The service on the other hand was not great, at least for me. It felt rushed and like my tech did not understand me. The pedicure was the better of two services, although she did not trim or file my toenails and only did one coat of polish on two toes so they look different from the other nails. The manicure was rough and my nails were filed down quite a bit, into a slanted "square" shape. She cut off way too much of my cuticle, made me bleed, and filed my skin when trying to do the edges. I asked for French tips and maybe I was just being nitpicky, but they did not look uniform to me. Not even a week after the service, the gel started lifting and chipping!!! The nails are gorgeous, I paid $70 for these, the set starts at 55$ and I think they added $5 for gel, $5 for length, and 5$ for shape. The bill was not itemized so I'm just guessing! The atmosphere was gorgeous and I felt very at peace while my fingers were getting sliced by the tools and rubbed raw by the nail files. My pedicure was great, the guy was efficient and did a good job. My manicure, however, lasted about 8 minutes, he did a good job cleaning up my cuticles, however the paint job was terrible, it's very patchy, you can see through to my nails in some spots, and he did not go down to my cuticles on a few nails, so it already looks about a week grown out on a few of them. Considering that gel is an extra $13 (for nails & feet- so $26!! which I have literally never seen that pricing anywhere & i have tried a LOT of places!) I was very disappointed!
