I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment yesterday and was overall very pleased with the massage I received. I had injured my left shoulder muscles while working out over a month ago and I have been having trouble with them ever since. My massage, while brutal (as I had insisted it to be) was exactly what I needed and I left with my muscles feeling better than they had in weeks. Eastern massages feel very different than western ones, and I was pleasantly surprised when my massage therapist used her elbows and legs to apply pressure to particularly troublesome spots on my neck and back. As mentioned in previous reviews, she does practice Eastern massages techniques. This eastern approach is from the energy point of view, western massage approach is towards the physical human body. I went there for a couples massage and eve made an appointment, The massage was Ok nothing over the top although The hot rocks and hot towel felt really good. I do have one thing I would like to mention did anybody else get there underwear pulled down ??? That's really scared me and my husband I've been to several massage places and none pull my underwear down . Also they crawl on top off you to massage you. It just made me feel uncomfortable. Great place! It's not a "day spa" by any means but it's clean and the staff is super sweet. My husband had Nana and I had Lucy for a couples massage and it was great. They were very attentive and did an awesome job. There is some validity to some of the lower rated reviews as there is a bit of a language barrier and they will answer the phone during massage but they're not rude and it's tolerable, they are just conducting business as they know how. I was a little apprehensive initially but now I can say we will definitely be back. These ladies give a quality massage and rates are much more affordable than "spa" rates at at least $250 a couple. I was really hoping this place would live up to the amazing reviews. The ladies who work here are incredibly nice, but I will never go back. It is a very small place, and rather than there being a lobby or waiting room, there are 2 massage beds as soon as you walk in, which was a bit alarming for me. I was immediately taken into a massage room, which was nice. However, none of the rooms have doors, they just have a curtain that stops about a foot above the ground, so I felt very vulnerable and unsafe. I almost walked out then, but was still hoping the massage would live up to the hype. There was no paperwork to fill out, and she didn't ask me if I had any problem areas I'd like her to focus on or any medical conditions, etc. There was no sheet for me to get under, just a towel. She massaged me over the towel for the first few mins, which was very rough and did not feel good. The actual massage itself was not relaxing and did not feel good. Her movements were very quick most of the time, and it felt like she was on my bones more than my muscles. My actual bones feel bruised. I was tensed up for the majority of the massage, which you would think they would feel/sense, but she either wasn't paying attention or just didn't care. It didn't seem like she was focused on making it a relaxing experience or on relieving my pain. It felt more like she was just going through the motions. I will never go back. read more

I've gone and had a great massage there before so when my friend came to visit we decided we wanted massages. It was late Saturday night when we got there. Two older senior ladies met us put both of us in a couples room instead of our own rooms. The masseuses didn't understand English and didn't understand our request so we just went along with them to the couples room. They both proceeded to gossip in their native tongue. They also played their own music instead of the usual relaxing spa music and we had to listen to soft rock karaoke type asian ballads that they sang along to. I was too tired to try to explain how loud they were so I just listened and tried to decipher what they were gossiping about. My friend and I started laughing out and they laughed along. We basically didn't get the relaxation we wanted. At the end of the massage I still gave a $10 tip because the masseuse reminded me of my feisty grandma. But my friend only wanted to give her masseuse $5 and her feisty grandma masseuse refused and told her in broken English she had to give her $10. I probably won't go back there, except when I'm missing my grandma or want to hear some Asian karaoke read more

My husband and I found this cozy little place a year ago to treat ourselves to our first massage on the west coast. We always get the couple's massage and it is such an amazing deal for the price you pay! Hot stones are part of the package of 1hr to 90min and everyone charges extra for that elsewhere. It was awkward because she left the room 6 times, leaving the door open. The give you just a towel to cover up with. I just had my first massage here at Nana massage and I was VERY impressed. I had met her about six months ago and had been meaning to come here and I am so glad I finally did. She does eastern style massage so she really gets into pressure points but also does a good oil massage as well. She incorporated these heat packs at the beginning the get things to loosen up which is always good. I have been to a LOT of places in Visalia and this was one of the best massages I have gotten. For anyone not familiar with eastern massage... do not feel awkward if you end up buck naked on the table at times. They do not do things like western massage where you are covered at all times but I say hey.. it's all out there for them to massage this way and I don't mind a bit because Nana was very professional all the way around. I know many are scared to go to asian massage places around here because they fear the "happy ending" atmosphere... this is not one of those places at all. In fact poor woman got a call while I was there for someone hinting at that and she very bluntly told him no... this is massage only. I have had lower back pain for 20 years. Recently it went worse despite the painkiller ( I was on MS-Contin and Norco) plus physical therapy. I refuse to have surgical intervention due to my senior age. Recommended by a friend, I decided to give it a try at this Asian Massage place. The place is nicely decorated and clean. The lady was courteous and magical with her healing hands. Not sure which pressure points she pressed, but I was able to sleep through next few night very comfortably. One of the worst experiences in my life. I also want to start this off by saying this place is one of the most suspicious places I have ever been to, Me and my girlfriend went in for a 30 minute foot massage and we were told to sit in recliners that were in the lobby then two ladies came in and proceeded to do our massages, While we getting our feet worked on there were several men walking into rooms without being questioned as if they already knew what they were there for. 30 minutes passed and they were finished after we had paid the ladies $40.00 one of the ladies stood in front of the door and kept insisting that we pay them a tip which to me it seemed very weird and rude, So I handed the lady another $20 asking if I can have $10 back and she returned with $5. I do not ever plan to go back to that place ever again. My advice to everyone is to save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I was tired of my back hurting after some long work days and saw this place on yelp with 5 stars and only 2 reviews. I was not sure and did not want a place that was not legit but they were open till 10 and the lady who answered the phone was nice. I definitely got more than I expected for a 1 hour massage. Fully legit no funny business. They worked out some huge knots on my back and gave a great full body massage. They were gentle where needed and they spent tine on troubled areas. I wanted the $20 whatever on the sign out front, but was up sold the $40 full body, by two women who promised me a good massage... ..... Language seemed to be a bit of an issue, but the massage was wonderful!!! Cindy asked me "hard, medium, or soft?" I like medium so she stayed pretty close to medium most of the time. This little place is so warm, friendly, and welcoming! When my mom and I walked in, the lady at the front welcomed us by giving us both a hug! First time at this location after reading reviews on yelp. Nana and her staff are very sweet and inviting. We did couples massage and the room was dimly lit with soft music, very soothing and relaxing environment. Nana and Kiki did wonderful massages deep tissue, using hot towels and hot rocks. Yes if the phone rang they had to answer but it wasn't really a distraction she continued to work and would apologize after, but I didn't mind they have to run a small business.
